We go here every year on our annual trip to Monterey because the food, service and view are EXCEPTIONAL. Couldnt ask for better service. We love George!!!!

We dined here with our pup on the patio. The service was good, everyone was very friendly. The food was very bland. I had the seafood fettuccine and the scallops, and shrimp were way overcooked. The sauce was very bland. My husband had the fish and chips. The fries were crispy but the fish was kind of soggy. Overall, I’d probably avoid dining at the Wharf anywhere again.

Fellow yelpers gave this place great reviews. Inside looked so much better than the outside. It was quite chilly and they do have heaters overhead. The waitress was very slow. Our “appetizer” came out within 2 minutes of our food. NOT good! Then our food came. Was decent but could have used more flavor. The managers were better than the server. Sadly we had a yelp “free appetizer” yet were charged tax on “FREE” to the tune of $3. How do you tax FREE?

I ordered the clam chowder as a appetizer. It was bland! It tasted like something out the can and warmed up. Stuffed salmon was my entree. It also lacked any kind of flavor! Being that It was stuffed with shrimp and artichokes I expected this to add some additional flavor. To no avail. I literally ate half of it and couldn’t finish it. Service was definitely lack luster and it wasn’t overly busy. The view of the marina was the only highlight. You’ve been warned!

This place has great seafood. I ordered 1 dozen of their Blue Point Oysters and they were delicious. I then ordered Linguini with clams and it was wonderful as well. It had real clams in it and not the canned and it was some of the best clams I have ever had. I will definitely will be going back. The service was also great and I also had a seat right near the water to look upon and the scenery was great as well.

I would never recommend this restaurant. Rate Domenicos a 2. Everything from food-to-service was below average. Both parties had seafood and it was just passable, but not flavorful. Small things were off: maitre'd made us feel average (not like a special guest), water took 2 asks, and bread was not provided until requested. You've been warned.

Our meals were fantastic! The clam chowder was as close as we could get to what we have at home in Massachusetts. The entrees were reasonably priced for the location. We sat inside but at the open door, so the evening people watching was great but the noise level was a little higher than it would have been fully inside. Our server was attentive, friendly, and a pleasure.

Thoroughly enjoyed our celebration dinner at Domenicos. Staff were extremely professional and friendly, great blend. Food was delicious. And it was fun to be on the water with a great view of the harbor. Coming from pacific grove Google maps initially took us to parking lot which was not accessible, residents only, so do your own research to figure out where wharf parking is located. We'll definitely go back for another great meal.

I arrived early and the restaurant was full, so they offered me the choice of a table next to the bar or a seat at the bar while I waited. As soon as a table became free they offered it to me but I chose to stay at the bar. Service was friendly and prompt, food delicious, and I recommend the Cedar Plank Sockeye Salmon - caught in Alaska by the proprietor. All the staff are professional and friendly but Anna in particular is a tour-de-force.

Came here for a nice dinner while in Monterey. Within walking distance of our hotel and we were seated by a window at night. It was lovely to see the sea lions swimming in the harbor while we ate. The scallops were perfectly cooked and moist with a delicious risotto. Our server was very polite and attentive, would eat here again.

Our go-to restaurant when visiting Monterey. Always delicious, great service, and good location. King crab is simply the best. Other seafood also excellent (salmon, sea bass, sand dabs). Abalone wonderful when available. King crab ravioli are superb! Don’t know what else to say - yummy!

Our waiter was nice enough but not very attentive. Never asked us if we wanted any parmesan cheese, a 2nd drink - which we did but never got to order it, water long after we asked for it. Overall the host was tremendous, the dining room is lovely. The service was mediocre. You lost $$ on us!

Tuesday night visit. Food was well prepared and fresh. Ask for bread/butter if desired. Order the buttery Chardonnay(Reserve) with seafood choices. Staff was great, owner visits and chats. Fine dinning in casual setting. Would repeat, must have at least one time in a Monterey visit.

Hi, The food here is always fresh and the service is fast, but not rushed. We requested and received a window seat, which was important since it was my wife's birthday. We had the pleasure of having Jorge as our waiter. His level of service was top notch, he recommended food, drinks and was a pleasure to work with. His personality was even better and made the evening a memorable experience for my wife, daughter and granddaughter. We highly recommend this restaurant if your ever in the Monterey area.

Absolutely would not recommend going to Domenicos. So many other options with much better customer service on the wharf. We made a reservation online, confirmed in person the day before our reservation, and server + manager would not honor our reservation time + seating preference (window table.) They were extremely rude and treated us like we did not belong. Very disappointing because we ate here on our honeymoon 6 years ago and now came for our 6 year anniversary and we ended up having to leave because of the way they talked to us. Maybe it was because we were young, don’t “look” wealthy, whatever the case but was not treated well

Overall, pretty disappointing. The red snapper special was bland, the mixed seafood grill was as well. The lighting was way too dark, and we were put in the corner, not by the window next to a mirror with very slow service.

Great location and very accomodating. We had to modify our reservation time for an hour later due to traffic conditions on very short notice and were still seated by the window with a great view of the harbour as we had requested. The house special was good but the linguine with clams was salty and the clams were overcooked. The service was so-so but would still return and recommend.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful view, wonderful food, great waiter, nice owner even came and talked with us. We would be there a lot if we didn’t live far away.
