Large Scallops, Prawns, and Crab Meat Served Over Fettuccini with Our House-Made Creamy Alfredo
New England Clam Chowder
Crab Cakes with Tarragon Aioli
Cannot go wrong with the Spot Prawns. Seriously.
We had a reservation on a busy Saturday night. We waited only a few minutes for our table, which was understandable due to the crowd. The service was so quick that our entrees came before I had even finished the tasty bread that was served. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meals - king crab stuffed ravioli. The sauce was particularly delicious. I was impressed with the way all the waiters hustled. They helped to make our night out a memorable one.
Always our go to place when we visit Monterey. Their clam chowder is the best. This trip we had their special...Monterey Bay Prawns over pasta. Prawns right off the boat. Delicious!
Food was good, but seemed over-priced for what it was. Lighting and view were very nice. Service was prompt and excellent--just the right balance of availability and speed. Quite noisy.
Fabulous meal! Oysters Rockefeller were amazing (a little pricey but may be the best I may have ever eaten) Calamari was tender, Halibut was scrumptious & Bacon wrapped Scallops melted in my mouth! Dinner entertainment was watching an otter play in the water!
Grandma’s chiopino recipe is superb.
View is gorgeous. Great service. We had crab cakes, blue cheese wedge, hamburger, clam chowder, scallops and rib eye. All delicious!
We ate outside, enjoyed sardines, sand dabs, sole, garlic and artichokes. All dishes were very fresh and good. Service was exceptional - very professional and warm. Good value for what you get Highly recommend if you're in the area.
I can't rate their food because we didn't eat there. The older guy at the desk was so rude because our party was finding parking, we would have left anyway. We had reservations for 7 and 2 of us were there 5 minutes early. He wouldn't seat us and argued with us about parking being available. Our table was sitting empty was loosing him money he said. We ate at Crabby Joe's instead and spent a lot of money he could have made. Will never go back to Doms.
Wonderful! Highly recommend. All aspects of this restaurant are awesome!
Our dinner was great and our servers were amazing
Thank you so much.
Very good and will be back
We returned here for another delightful dinner after dining here previously over memorial weekend, & my husbands birthday . We were equally pleased this time & were greeted by the special of the day, which was spot prawns & they were divine. We also had crab, oysters rockafeller, and always Look forward to the clam chowder here, it’s the best we’ve ever had. My 8 yr. old gives it a 5 star review as well! Its her favorite chowder ever. I would also Like to add the service here is phenomenal. They are eager to please, So hospitable and everyone takes care of you here, not just your server. The Effort does not go unnoticed. Thank you Domenico’s for another wonderful dinner by the water. & Beautiful setting, table by the window overlooking the water & harbor. We Even saw a mama otter with her baby swing by our table….
Prompt seating, excellent service. The fried calamari appetizer was generous, enough for three diners. The oysters on the half shell were fresh , and the clam chowder was good. Crab stuffed ravioli was tasty as was the crab stuffed salmon. Four people can share the tiramisu; the serving was very generous.
Great service and very good food...
My ladies food came out cold and she had to re
Order not good. But everything else was nice
Excellent clam chowder. Top notch service. All food was delicious! Took cannoli home for dessert. Looking forward to returning.
I made a reservation and they treated me like a walk-in, I requested a window seat in the reservation, but they gave it to an actual walk-in we ordered 2 plates which included crab we didn’t taste any crab in the seafood pasta and the manager said that there was shredded crab in it I told them that the menu should say shredded crab then not crab meat which is totally deceiving it seemed he didn’t even want to listen to what we had to say, from his comment and the waiters comment other customers have said the same thing & they haven’t fixed the issue still, the main reason for ordering the plate/why the price was high,it’s for the crab meat & we didn’t see or taste any crab, my total cost $96.00 would’ve rather went to red lobster
I had the special. Monterey spot prawns grilled. They were disgusting. I wasn’t told that they were full of roe. I don’t eat shrimp eggs. The shrimp were not deveined. The tiny amount of meat that I could eat from the tail was mushy. My hands smelled like bait after sturgeon fishing , I had to wash them five times with different soap to remove the smell. I will never take my wife for a dinner on the wharf again. Her lobster was incredibly tough Soooo nooo.
Everything is AMAZING! Love it. Super recommend. Good place, good view, exceptional service worth it my money. Not expensive at all.
Excellent food & was cooked to our specifications. Grilled sardines were very, very delicious. Owner, and his crew are fabulous!!!!
fantastic view & location especially if you're staying at the Portola Hotel as walking is about 2 min.
Good selection and great service.
Had the Calamari steak sort of greasy but still good. Fish & chip was really fresh.
Nice ambience; crab a little overcooked; sat under heat warmer too long; my waiter was a bit distracted, but his assistant covered well; so that made the experience overall nice. would definitely recommend the spot; dinner, overall - delicious
Very good good, and extremely attentive service!
The service was outstanding, very prompt, although the pacing of meals could be a little slower. We barely finished our appetizers when the mains came out. Also, it was a bit on the loud side as the place was filled to capacity. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and when in town we would go back again.
Wonderful from start to finish. The food and service was amazing.
What a fun place! It’s right on the Old Fisherman’s Wharf, which I love. I actually like it better than Cannery Row. There are quite a few restaurants on the wharf, but I’m glad I chose Domenico’s. The service was great, we were checked on multiple times by our waiter and the manager. There are big windows looking out to the harbor where all the boats are docked, which was gorgeous at sunset. We didnt have appetizers, just entrees & dessert. My husband had the Cioppino which he loved., it was chock full of seafood & I had the linguini & clams that was really tasty. For dessert we had cheesecake and cannoli. We were completely stuffed, the portions are pretty big. The only con going to eat here is the parking. You can’t park right next to the pier & walk over. We actually got lucky with street parking, otherwise there’s a sign directing you to a parking garage a few blocks away. Next time we’re in Monterey, we would definitely go back and try some of the other dishes. You can’t go wrong with Domenico’s
EXCELLENT SERVICE! A little pricy but understandable due to covid. Lobster tasted a little dirty but ok. Would definitely return.
We've been here many times. Great views of the water and boats. Our waitress could have been really good if she wasn't so busy. Took a long time to get water and plates cleared. When all of our food finally came out it was all lukewarm to cold. I wanted hot chowder, not tepid chowder. Same for the clams and mussels. Fish was all very fresh. I’ll go back again since I’ve had other good experiences there. Might be the lack of help from Covid.
Sand dabs were mediocre at best. It is in an extremely touristy area so the outdoor dining area is not very pleasant. Service was very good but food was not.
The food was so so, and the kitchen was slow even though it didn’t seem that crowded. Even though it so crowded it was fairly noisy. Food seemed expensive for the quality and my wife’s pasta scampi dinner didn’t sit well with her. Our waiter was very attentive though.
Good food good service great view
We had reservations for 2 and had to wait 30 minutes for a table. When we were seated, we got a horrible table location. Customers before and after us with NO reservations got better seating. That is not a good move!
We were very happy with our delicious, well prepared meals and attentive service at Domenico's. Great views too.
Overall dining here was a good experience, although not without a few missteps. We arrived on time for our reservation and then were told we’d have to wait 10 minutes while they waited for another party to leave; 10 minutes later we’re asked to wait another 10 minutes; when the host came back at 20 minutes asking us to wait another 10 minutes, I let him know this was not acceptable. I appreciate that he wanted to give us a window seat for our “date night” but asking a guest to wait 30 minutes past their reservation time is not acceptable. We weren’t even offered water or drinks while we waited in the bar area. We were seated at a table in the middle of the dining area, which was acceptable, and the server went above and beyond to make up for our bumpy start. We had the Fried Calamari appetizer, I had the Pasta Capri, and my husband had the Mixed Seafood Grill, dessert was Chocolate Espresso Cheesecake and Tiramisu with coffees. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed it all, I got a to-go box for my generous portion of Pasta Capri, unfortunately the clam-shell design of the box allowed all the sauce to spill out into the bag and I was not able to enjoy leftovers the next day; a two-piece to-go box that securely seals all the way around would have avoided this disappointment. We’ll definitely be back.
Super yummy food! Lemon drops were delicious! Went for lunch and then back again to the bar for a few drinks before a boat cruise.
We had a wonderful experience - the food was amazing and the price was perfect. The outside seating was less than desirable with the wind but the waitresses really tried to make it the best they could with the wind not being cooperative and the outdoor heaters. Food was so delish, could not say enough! YUM!!! Will totally recommend & eat here again.
Several servers were not wearing masks. The sand dab sandwich had almost no fish in it
