Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita Ratings and Reviews
I came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my partner. I was excited to come here since I’ve been to Crazy About You and I highly enjoyed that experience. Unfortunately , I cannot say the same here. In the beginning everyone was friendly and attending. But once it came to dessert time, my waiter forgot we existed. My partner ordered a second glass of wine, and our waiter, Luis, never brought it for her. He did, however, make sure to serve the couple next to us TWO glasses of wine. No matter. We were not going to let that ruin our night. Let’s move on to dessert. It comes time to order and we ordered the Message in a Bottle. So our dessert is brought to us. But the whole purpose was defeated considering we were never given a pen to WRITE our message and they never brought the bottle so we could place it inside! Seriously guys!? Terrible! I was genuinely confused. I understand it may be busy because it is Valentine’s Day, but you cannot drop the ball because of this. They didn’t forget to bring a pen when it came time for me to sign for a tip!! Appalling. I won’t be returning. The ambiance was romantic, beautiful restaurant, unique concept, all ruined by terrible service. What confused me the most was how we would be treated this way before we paid. I still tipped very handsomely. But that will be the last dollar I spend with this establishment.
the place is very nice, but the service was bad. However, then the manager took good care of us. She offered us an apology for the inconveniences and gave us some courtesy. The expectation of each dish was different, a dish that says it is a bowl and was flat and with jasmine rice and was precooked rice. there was disorganization in the service.
Fantastic food, great service and atmosphere. The appetizers were Great! Entrees were Great! The cornbread is a must try. The service was very good and the prices were reasonable. It was money well spent. They remembered it was a birthday celebration and did a special desert plate. Very happy with the experience.
We loved the relaxed and ambience of this restaurant, especially the terrace outside with spectacular view.
Even though it was a little chilly, there were blankets available at the tables for extra comfort.
Very comfortable and cozy setting (furniture). The Lobster Bisque was very good as well as the other dishes, glazed salmon. Very large portion of Caesar salad. The corn bread for appetizer was also really good. Reasonable prices. Being a busy location, valet parking is a must and very help full.
My party of 5 had an excellent meal last week. It was a bit chilly out but we elected to sit outside on the deck. With the wall heaters and additional blankets provided, it was a great choice. Except for my selection of the "house wine", which I later changed to something more drinkable, we had zero complaints. We were visiting from Philadlephia and this was our best meal of the 4 day trip, by far. For entrees, we had eggplant lasagna, 2 orders of the delicious ribs (I have neer been given gloves before for ribs), salmon, and one other that I now forget. Not a morsel of anything left over. A chocolate lava cake or 2 for dessert, and we were full and completely satisfied. This is in a great location (we walked from the Marriott Marquis about 0.8 miles away). I highly recommend this for a fantastic meal.
Love their menu! The upstairs would be perfect for a bridal brunch. Beautiful modern decor with hydrangea and a touch of greenery. Chicken biscuit with gravy was tasty. Side of waffles is enough to share (as a side) and very good with fresh strawberries. We really enjoyed our casual brunch date here - would definitely recommend to everyone!
