   I enjoy the food here, but lately something is off. Our waitress didn’t know what Reisling was, we barely saw her, and as we ate, we watched the staff move tables, chairs, empty garbages, and basically close with us in there. I understand the staff wants to get home, but this was uncomfortable. We asked to be seated in the wine room but that request was ignored (seems like a trend because this happens every time). The kitchen staff was eating with their bare hands as they cooked. Not sure about this place anymore…

   We had been here several years ago and celebrated an anniversary. It was very good and the ambiance was great. This last visit (May 2023) was NOT quiet or relaxing. There was a family behind us with a child that kept screaming this super high-pitched scream, and it was reverberating off the tile. The service was great and the food was delicious. But the ambiance was not enjoyable, so I doubt we will go back anytime soon because of this experience. We try to find places where we can hear one another without having to raise our voices, and this is no longer one of those places.

   We had a party after a graduation. Food was a tad bit under seasoned, but still tasty. Reasonably priced and large portions. I will say service was slow even for non-alcoholic drinks. Im glad we came before it got too busy because things would have taken even longer. Valet parking is a nice, but we were able to find a decent spot. Overall good for large crowds. The alcoholic drinks were delish!

   We had been here in the past and it was awful last night. Never again. Veal Milanese & Veal Saltimbocca were awful. Veal Milanese was dry, thick, tough and came on a bed of dry pasta. Veal Saltimbocca was dry, tough and came on a broth with pasta (????). The pasta dishes others in our party had were just ok. Took forever to get menus & drinks. Never again.

   There is quite a nice variety of dishes available and each one I've had has been superb. They also have a generous substitution policy so you can switch items in any of the meals. Our server asked about food allergies right away, which not only surprised but pleased me. We were treated with respect and courtesy the entire evening. I plan to continue eating there!

   I know restaurants are busy for Mother’s Day, but this one looks dirty and loud. Food was okay not great, they run out of the wine I wanted, but service was good. Not sure if I will come back.

    It was our first time dining Dolce Vita...we loved it! The food was spectacular - the fresh pasta had a nice bite to it. Excellent, full-flavors (grilled octopus, buratta salad, penne arabiatta, linguini vongole, lobster pasta). Delicious! Service was wonderful - prompt, yet unassuming. Excellent overall...we'll be back!

    Food was great and service was really nice for our party of 8. The entire staff did a great job, but really appreciate Sidney's help to make Mother's Day special! We will definitely be adding Dolce Vita to our "regular" rotations for great food and pretty awesome pizza!

    Even though short staffed, (during Mothers day) their was stellar customer service. Servers, managers and hosts came in to check in on our experience. Food was great and very filling

    We had a very nice meal. the food was excellent. I had chicken milenese and arancini as appetizer, spouse had fish and an app she really enjoyed. we were seated minutes after our reservation time. restaurant was crowded at dinner peak on a saturday, the usual at LDV. had a good wine recommendation from teh waiter. not overly loud despite the crowd. free valet parking which was great as it was raining when we arrived. We go often and always enjoy the experience

    I booked a table for 4. Once we arrived, they had a high top that barely fit 3 of us. The hostess did not show any interest in figuring out the situation. Otherwise, she blames us for the reservation. We left the restaurant and no one tried to help us out.

    Best Italian food I have had in a while. Fresh pasta, amazing bruschetta, wonderful wine selection, wonderful risotto. My wife & I used to eat there somewhat regularly but it was very difficult to get a seat. They expanded in the intervening years and the new space is very accommodating.

    Visited for the first time and was happy with the food and service. The mgr (Edward) came by to wish me a happy birthday and offer a free dessert which was nice. We didn't get offered the fresh bread and oil for some reason but otherwise had a very good experience. I will visit again.

    It won't wow you, but decent place overall. Parking is limited and spots are narrow; op for valet. Quick to seat with reservation on weekend night. Clean environment. 10oz filet was definitely not 10oz. Chocolate lava cake was underwhelming for $12 - small scoop of vanilla ice cream with small lava cake "puck." Can get loud.     The restaurant was very crowded and noisy and unfortunately our appetizers came out at the same time as our main meals with several of them cold as they were probably sitting in the kitchen waiting to be delivered. At least the manager took the appetizers off the bill

    Took a girfriend here for her Birthday. She had the linguini with clams and I had the chicken marsala. Both were excellent. They even gave the birthday girl a free dessert which she loved. Service was also excellent; very attentive but not overdone.

    All in all very average, but not bad. Pasta was ok. Appetizers were ok. Cannoli was not great. Server was very pleasant and attentive. I would go again but not as a destination. I am betting their pizza is good, but did not try it so cannot say for sure. You can tell they try, but just not anything to rave about.

    I have eaten at this little restaurant in Fairfax regularly but never on a holiday. I originally reserved outside seating but since it became chilly asked if I may be reseated inside. Big Mistake. The manager on duty was very pleasant however despite what appeared to be available seating in the more pleasant quiet area, their hostess had me squeezed into a tiny corner in their front dining area which atmosphere was chaotic and extremely noisy including literally screeching children. After finishing my Easter meal I chose to have my dessert at home in a quieter setting to find to my surprise that I was only given a partial dessert (note this was their most expensive dessert on their menu). Sad to say despite the excellent quality of my appetizer and entree, I would never go again for the opportunity to enjoy a special holiday menu. At $80+ (including tax and tip) for one, I could have enjoyed a much more pleasant holiday meal elsewhere. I do love this little place and they have wonderful homemade pasta at reasonable prices; just won’t join them on a crowded holiday or inquire what would be a better time.

    First time visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent and good selection of wine all at pretty good price point. But most of all the service was excellent. Our server could not have been more welcoming and kind to us. Checked in on us (but not in an overbearing way) and just very positive attitude. I don't live in the neighborhood but I think my family member found a new place to go to for excellent Italian food.

    The day after our daughter’s wedding we hosted a dinner for some family and friends who were still in town. The restaurant staff did a wonderful job and put us in a private room with our own servers- the food was delicious!
