Dolce Italian Ratings and Reviews
I usually try to stay out of hotel restaurants so Dolce was not on my list of places to go but I was very pleasantly surprised! The food, mood, and scene were great. It is busy with not being over crowded and you can not beat the prices. The manager was very attentive and made sure all my dietary restrictions were handled. I am def. going back!
Most definitely our new favorite place to take friends! We are always treated very well (and have experienced many different servers so management must instill strong customer service); all of the various entrees we have tried have been superb and their desserts are also all amazing. They make their own mozzarella and the tomatoes we had with their Caprese salad were amazing especially for this time of year. Don't delay - dine there today!
Was there for brunch, and I don’t know whether it was the eggs Benedict or the disgusting water (it smelled like sewage water- awful). Whatever it was, I got really sick right after. Even if that wasn’t the case, I wouldn’t go back because the food was below average
I've been here numerous times before and had a good meal/experience. However, this time was a big miss. I don't know if the fact I brought a Gilt City voucher had anything to do with it but I ordered the veal milanese for my entree and it was just bad. It had no seasoning, only breading with an equally dry arugula salad on top. It tasted like cardboard. We also ordered the octopus which was ok. The only thing good was their Manhattans. I will not be coming back for dinner but I will come back to the bar for drinks.
A group of 10 of us went to brunch on a Sunday and we all got the endless bubbles package. Amazing value! The waiter was not too generous on the prosecco and we had to constantly ask for another bottle for our table. Mind you, one bottle would barely fill all 10 of our glasses. Aside from that, the experience was great! He was able to split our checks into 10 too, which is rare with a party that size. The food was amazing too! I tried a truffle pizza that a friend ordered and instantly regretted my order. The poutine was actually tater tots and they were wonderful. I could have just eaten them as my meal. I chose the Benny and it was fabulous. We will definitely go back!
We had Christmas Eve dinner at Dolce.
The food was excellent, and we enjoyed
a surprise - professional singers caroling,
in period costumes!
One complaint - a pet peeve of mine - big TV screens in the bar visible from half the seats in the dining room. When I go out for dinner I want to talk with my friends; if I want to watch TV I'll stay home. I avoid places where I can't avoid the screens.
Have dined here several times and it has been consistently great and is one of our favorite Italian spots n the city. The ambience is great and the service is attentive. I am in love with the Branzino and my wife loves the Pappardelle. Their pasta is all homemade. Their happy hour is something that should not be missed from a quality and price perspective too.
We have been before and thought it was great, but not this time. I have a feeling this place will be gone in 3 months and it seems as if the staff thinks the same thing. The service was terrible! Our water was never refilled, the server never asked if we wanted more cocktails. He said he would course out, but they brought everything out at one time - apps, pizza and mains. Super strange and beyond bad service. The food was good, but with service like that I would be unwilling to go back.
Thank you, Dolce Italian, for working with me for a surprise birthday dinner! The friendly and helpful staff made sure everything was pulled off without a hitch. The atmosphere, food, wine, and service were all fantastic! Get the ricotta cappelletti! I highly recommended this place.
I had been here before and it was phenomenal. This time I was super underwhelmed. The server was nice but we had asked for our meal to be coursed out and it all came out at once. The food was not nearly as good this time. The ricotta in the Stella pizza was not what it was before. The menus also just looked super cheap which was a noticeable change from when they first opened and it just demonstrated how they've started cutting corners to save money. Probably won't go back after that experience.
One of our favorite places - we brought friends on 11/4 and they really enjoyed it too. Thursdays are great with half-priced wines; all their pastas are delicious and the hangar steak too. Leave room for dessert - especially the gelato with Frangelica. We have also received discount coupons from them as well!
I came here with a girlfriend for an 8pm reservation on a Sunday. It was very quiet but I've been here before when it's much more lively. I ordered a glass of red wine and my friend the mule. I had the charcuterie/cheese plate and my friend the caprese salad. We shared the chocolate cake. Our waiter was attentive and professional and it was really the most perfect place for us to catch up.
I came because I had to use the credit on an expired coupon. I have purchased coupons for this establishment before because I enjoy coming here. It is worth a visit for a nice meet up for drinks.
We love to eat outdoors at this delicious Italian. Restaurant. Wednesday’s are so fun bringing our well behaved pup to the outdoor dining. Staff are so friendly fly bringing special treats for my pet too!
Branzino and eggplant parmigiana were awesome as was the selection of rose wines.
Can’t wait to go back esp because they have patio heaters outdoors. So beautiful
I thought the atmosphere of Dolce Italian was modern/European which I liked for the clients/my cousins I took out for dinner. It took approximately 8-10 minutes for our waiter to come to our table and the place wasn't that crowded to begin with. He wasn't that attentive-didn't really ask us how the meal was after we received it or if we needed anything. It took a time to get the waiter back to have another glass of wine poured for my client. Overall the food quality was pretty good-not amazing. I had Spinach Linguini with Scallops. There were only 2 scallops for $8 more which I thought was kind of a rip off. Everyone else seemed to enjoy the meal for the most part except my cousin ordered fish and came with skin on that he had to remove.Dessert was pretty good and so was the wine selection although there were not that many moderately priced wines-most were well about $75 per bottle. Unfortunatley with so much competition especially in the nicer Italian restaurant area, I don't think I would come back to Dolce Italian. If the service were a bit better-than maybe.
