Overall, it was an excellent dinner experience! The wait staff were friendly and responsive to all of our needs. Our reservations were at an early hour. As it became more crowded and frenetic, the wait staff was scrambling to keep up. The quality of the food was superb! The only complaint is the high prices of some menu items and many of the wine selections from the wine list. There were a few options under $50., but the vast majority appeared to be $60. and well above. I was impressed by the coffee, which was from an individual French Press canister. I have found coffee to be a great let down at many restaurants, but the coffee at Dolce was among the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back.
My entree dish was very good (pasta with lamb Ragu) but the appetizer was pretty bad especially for the cost. Fried artichoke hearts. There was only maybe 3-4 slivers of actual artichoke hearts and the rest we’re the leaves deep fried. Your spending money for the hearts but only getting leaves and were very greasy.
I have been a chef for 20 years so I thought I would give feedback on the food.
Service was very good. Waiter couldn’t explain the chicken dishes very well so we got the feeling that maybe they weren’t good dishes? But overall the service was very good
Open Table recommended this restaurant based on my dining history. It's a nice restaurant, great ambience, good food and has a really nice wine selection. Everything pointed towards a great dining experience and I ordered a bottle from one of my favorite Stags Leap wineries.
Everything was great except they brought out the food less than 10 minuted after we got our appetizer which we hadn't even finished. We were basically done with dinner after 35 minutes and still had half a bottle of wine left. Kinda killed the evening.
Our service was fantastic. We enjoyed the artichoke appetizer and the potato truffle pizza was delicious also. Definitely a place I would recommend and look forward to going back.
Great food! Always very good. Wished you would keep the passport card. That really kept us coming here a lot.
Great design. Great food -friendly staff.
Our first time there. Took my fiancee for a late Valentine's dinner and what a great choice. Our waiter was great. Food was even better and the presentation was outstanding.
Outstanding service, and sensational food
we were hesitant to try this place but it was really good. pasta and mussels were great!
We went for lunch Sunday afternoon early lunch and we found the food to be extremely well prepared and thoughtfully presented. We are a bit picky but we really enjoyed the citrus salad with goat cheese and beets. We also shared a spinach pizza and penne pasta with meatballs with the bolognese sauce. The only downside was the pasta was slightly less than Al Dente but everything else was delicious well-prepared and wine was fantastic Bono Bono Bono
Food was great, very tasteful. Beautiful atmosphere. Quiet for Fri launch time. Nice inside and outside seating. We set outside.
Great restaurant! Really enjoyed the menu selections .
Food is just so-so.
Great place to go to meet friends or to have a nice, intimate dinner with your loved one. Excellent wine menu, excellent, courteous service. Delicious food.
I’ve be been here at least a dozen times. Never disappointed.
Great wine selections
Great service and good food!
The atmosphere was wonderful the food was great the waiter was amazing!
Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. We went there as a family to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Our waiter was, quite frankly, terrible!! Our water was not topped up at all, we eventually had to ask someone to clear our table twenty minutes after we finished eating . The food was mediocre, the wine was given to the wrong people and only two were drinking!! Our waiter appeared as we were paying to ask what our daughter would like for her free birthday dessert. We declined and we left and will NEVER go back there.
Nice ambiance, food is good but portions are small and expensive.
Food was average as we had 4 mneals, 2 were good and 2 were nothing special. Restraunt is chic and comfortable with good vibe. Our server unfortunately would be better suited for fast food or chain, she had no knowledge of wine choice, lacked knowledge of food prep, served 3 meals to the tabke and the 4th 10 minutes later. No apology, the manager walked over and said the meal fell through the cracks and offered bread, which was never brought to the table in the 1st place, that was the only compensation for a neal being delivered 10 minutes after the rest if the p party.
Great find in our neighborhood and I appreciated the diversity of menu. Great service & the food was high quality and prepared well. I liked the unique combination of side dishes & accents for each entre. Dessert offerings read luscious but I was too full to enjoy. However, port and after dinner drink selection was a nice topper to the evening.
Excellent food. A little noisy but great energy. Amazing salads and the mussels are A+. Neighborhood gem.
This is the restaurant I usually bring friends in for great food and environment, and it’s close to home. I used to entertain my friends here three times in a row, it never disappoints.
Love Dolce's - food is always consistent and the ambience is great - love the private dining area as well - great for private parties ...
Lovely lunch place for me and my friends. Good, authentic Italian food at a good price. Lovely feel to the restaurant.
This was a memorably awful dining experience. We had a reservation for a party of 8 at 11:30 AM to celebrate a friends’ birthday We were not served until 12:45. The majority of us ordered salads. (Food tasted good, but that’s the only positive thing I can say about our lunch) There was no explanation for the delay, and we were one of the first tables to arrive for lunch. We asked several times where our orders were, and were told that they were “working on them in the kitchen”. The birthday cake that was brought out had actual sour cream on top, when it should have been whipped cream , or marscapone, or something sweet. We each tried it to make sure we were all actually tasting sour cream. When we pointed it out to our server, her response was that she told the pastry chef that he was “going to have to eat the rest of that cake himself”. And to “apologize” for the horrible service, Sam, who identified herself as the “bar manager” said “come on by the bar any time next week and let them know Sam said she’s buying you a drink”. WHAT? Awful.
On 01/04/2018 I have invited my friends who were visiting from Dubai to Dolce; considering that the food is very delicious and the ambiance is great. My wife and I had always enjoyed dining at Dolce, however, this time the place was invaded with fruit flies which made the dining experience unpleasant and caused tremendous embarrassment to my guests. The next day, I had left a detailed message with a person who answered the phone (David) to rely this message to the manager Courtney and requested a call back. Never heard back from the manager.
I ordered ahi tuna and asked how it would be prepared. I was told it was "rare" but not the typical "seared, then pink" type. The server offered to have it prepared more "rare" if I preferred, to which I said yes please. Well....the fish had obviously been pre-prepared for the holiday evening (NYE), and then rewarmed as needed. I know this as I am a cook myself and understand that re-warming fish makes it rubbery. Good ahi is NOT rubbery if properly prepared. The flesh was only the slightest hint of palest of pink. Disappointing to say the least. My husband's pizza was much better overall.
We had dinner with friends and enjoyed sharing 2 appetizers and entrees. The service was excwlkwnr
I was surprised, upon arrival the restaurant did not have a reservation in my name.
The food is really the super star at this restaurant. The chef really knows what she is doing. Apps were tasty and well balance, the pizza was thin and crispy, but the pasta! The pasta was spectacular! Excellent work!
We made reservations but ended up waiting 20 min. to be seated, food was very salty and the waiter pushy to sale expensive vine bottles.
It was a special occasion that turned into a bad experience.
Can't recommend this restaurant to anyone as I will never go back !
We love this restaurant! Beautiful decor and delicious Italian cuisine. Location is very convenient to our home and office. We are vegetarian and there are plenty of food options!
We had a great time Sunday night celebrating my husband's birthday. There were 4 adults and our 2 grandsons. The staff were all nice and patient with us. The food and drinks were great.
Very bad service it took a long time to get the food
It was a bad experience, not coming back
Fantastic, as always. There are great options on the menu - from delicious appetizers to inventive salads to a full entree meal. Anyone can find something that fits their appetite and taste.
We haven’t been here in over a year because we had a couple really poor experiences when they first opened. After giving them another chance we decided it wasn’t worth it. Food was okay. Very slow service, not because of our server who was very attentive but how SLOW the kitchen was. When we finely received our entrees it was over cooked and under seasoned. Everyone in our area were there over 2 hours and the table next to use had An absolute melt down because of the delay and portion size.
The service was excellent, the food was really good. The wine we ordered was not available so the server recommended one for us that was wonderful. Overall it was a very pleasant evening.
Sloooow service which just ruins the whole meal. Well, the food wasn't all that either - certainly not the 40min wait to get it!
