Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company
The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails.
The award-winning seasonal patio (patio closed November to March) catches sunlight from morning to afternoon and is an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek.
Whether dining inside or outside the views are stunning!

Lots of distance between tables. Love the the restaurant is so much quieter now. Excellent Food and service
Excellent food and service, beautiful location on Granville Island. Ambiance of the place was most enjoyable.
Great food and service. Nice seeing with views of water.
The view and ambiance at this restaurant is beautiful. However, the food was terrible. The pasta in the mac and cheese was undercooked. The steak was very chewy and the linguini was very bland. Was visiting from out of town so did the enjoy the beautiful outside seating area.
We had a very nice table overlooking the City lights for my husband’s birthday. Our service was good and very friendly. My husband loved the cioppino but my linguini with clams was way too garlicky for me. A little less garlic would have been better. Otherwise it was a very pleasant dinner, considering the pandemic, as we had to wear our masks in to the restaurant and to the washroom and back. But it was nice to get dressed up and go out for a bit. The ceilings are high and the restaurant is spacious so we felt we were in a safe environment.
We were Very happy with dining indoors at Dockside Due to the high ceiling and spacious room with large round table with view of the water . We all enjoyed 3 courses and the service was very professional .good place for feeling comfortable during Covid as all protocols were in place
Beautiful space, lovely staff.. amazing food! The brunch menu is my favourite! They have a great selection for everyone, I’m vegetarian :)
The menu was very ‘heavy’. A lot of comfort food...which was a bit too heavy for lunch in my opinion.
I think they could do better in creating more appeal with the social distanced tables.
The Dockside followed all Covid guidelines really well and still made it an enjoyable experience.
We love the Dockside and we keep going for more! We particularly like the duck confit and the steaks. Our vegan daughter enjoyed her vegan burger and yam fries. And most especially, we favour the patio seatings with the view to False Creek. Just unbeatable.
Excellent service, friendly, safe environment and delicious meals!
Dockside has the protocol down pat. The Saturday evening Turkey dinner was delicious and well presented. Our waitress and the servers who brought the dishes were professional and pleasant. We four had a great evening.
My wife and I went for my birthday brunch with our two closest friends. We were seated at a large table well away from other diners. Our waiter was very attentive without being obtrusive. The drinks we ordered (mimosas) came promptly and were cold and delicious. We each ordered different items from the lunch/brunch menu and were all happy with our choices. The ambiance of the Dockside Restaurant is very classy and we were happy to see strict observation of Covid-19 procedures by the staff. All in all a very good restaurant in all respects.
An excellent evening out, we enjoyed the food atmosphere and view excellent service well worth the time.
Great family time on the patio!
Perfect venue for achieving Covid protocols AND still having a great social experience. Lovely evening! Thank you!
Great restaurant, and has a great view sat on the outdoor patio only downside was saw 2 nice running around the patio while we were eating. Other then that ambience was great.
Thank you. All was just great. The kale salad and the knotty bread were a perfect lunch for two.
The server came so late like 20 min later to greed us. And we asked to change our seat and they said it is a new policy that we can changed seat even though not a lot of people were in the restaurant. It was really cold on the patio no heater on top of our head and by the time food came it was cold.
What a hidden gem in Vancouver I almost don't want to post a review so i can keep this place a secret
I wish I knew our servers name, he was 100/100! Great customer service. The food was absolutely delicious and the scenery was amazing. We will definitely be dining here again.
Great atmosphere food and service. Look forward to going back again.
Great spot when the sun is out - Food is great and the service was great
The service was very good, but the food was very very mediocre. Patio was pleasant, we were seated at the cabana and it was not comfortable. Ambiance was great. I will not go back since the food was not good.
Beautiful Patio - Disappointing experience.
We came right at opening ( second party to be seated ) to ensure we had a nice table on the patio in the sunshine . When we were led to a table in the shade we pointed out a sunny table that was preferable to us and asked if it was possible to be seated there instead. We were very rudely informed “Seating is done by service section - you can’t just sit wherever you want ! “ . We took our assigned table. Within moments two other people were led to that table and even had the same server we had. So much for the “service section” ! I attempted to follow up with the manager only to learn the rude individual was the manager. An email to the Food and Beverage manager about it was ignored, as was a follow up email several days later. The rest of the experience (food and other staff ) were fine, but it didn’t make up for the initial rudeness. Too bad the beauty of the patio seems to override the need to treat customers courteously.
The review asks if I wish to send a private note to the restaurant. As two previous private notes went unanswered, I will not bother.
This cozy restaurant has left a good impression on me.
Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, and beautiful atmosphere!
Definitely, I would like to come back here again.
We were seated in front of a wide open door exiting to the balcony, it was very cold there. Moved to a table by the kitchen (no view). I ordered coffee, asked for milk twice, so coffee was cold when the milk finally came. It took a long time for the waitress to take our order. Meal was okay, kale salad very soggy, burgers a bit dry....not the best experience and disappointing.
Great view, good service, and well thought out menu options.
Food was very delicious! Definitely recommend it!
We have been to Dockside many times in past, mainly at lunch. Always a great experience. Ambience is incomparable as is the service. We wanted a special spot for a friend get together and Dockside came to mind immediately. Most enjoyable. I would like to see more variety on the menu though.
Excellent service and location, Wonderful oceanside patio
The coffee I ordered after brunch was so watered down and fowl tasting and luke warm.
How do you screw that up?
Really $4.00 for a cup of watered down $hi!#y coffee. The Latte I ordered prior to brunch, was only $4.50.
I didn't say anything to the waiter because I didn't want to
ruin the ambiance of the occasion.
Take it off the menu if you can't get that one together.
Left with a bad taste in my mouth.
With the value of what we spent during an evening out with friends, the service was slow and the food was not as spectacular as it use to be. Dockside has been known for exceptional service and food since I’ve been going to this restaurant, however, during our evening there this past Saturday, it has gone to a decline and was very disappointing to say the least. My risotto looked and tasted like a microwaveable dinner and my partners halibut was dry as a rubber. Not impressed!
Due to weather, we couldn’t be outside, but indoors was well-spaced. Good care taken for Covid restrictions. The frittata was delicious as was the Caesar. Friendly, helpful service.
i didn't have food, and the review demands a star rating for it! so i guess this review is not that helpful,...
that being said, i sat in lounge area outside, and service was great, the drinks were a bit disappointing as these days you would expect the correct glass for your order from a place like this. so the presentation needs work specially from the bar side of things!
No chicken, on the menu. The waitress was pleasant. Sparkling water should also be offered in house no extra charge.
We booked outdoor seating (as we have a number of times) and on arrival were told this was not available (quite rudely I may add). If outdoor seating was no longer available the restaurant should have called to give us the option to cancel. If we had known outdoor seating wasn’t available we would have gone elsewhere.
Too bad as our usual experience at Dockside is very good.
The server was absolutely wonderful! Very attentive and kind. Excellent food and wine!
We celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Dockside every year. The staff are impeccable and the food is a delight. I think the restaurant actually has a special sauce: great team management.
We had an attentive server and the food was very good. A pleasant long lunch!
