Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company
The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails.
The award-winning seasonal patio (patio closed October to March) catches sunlight from morning to afternoon and is an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek.

Food here is inconsistent. I have had wonderful meals here and the same meal another time not very good. Last night both meals (mine and my date) were so salty that they were barely edible. Restaurant did take one entree off the bill which was nice. The place is beautiful and service was very good but folks.....you need to improve the consistency of the food. At a place like this the food is important.
The service is excellent and I don’t know why lots of people complained that they have horrible service. Overall very satisfied and will go back again to try other dishes. Thank you to our server Brandon.
could do better with the back round music, for example: better play list
4th visit this summer. Duck confit salad was a definite 10/10 plus! Halibut on menu did not mention Black squid ink but mom did not want to complain plus she rated the halibut fish itself as lacking flavour. (Mom orders halibut at every restaurant she goes to if on the menu.). Anyways, of all the dishes we have tried...halibut was a bit of a disappointment. We are still looking forward to trying linguine vongole etc. ...we are working our way through your menu. Great kitchen...great setting, great service, great ambiance.
Amazing experience, fantastic view, wonderful food, perfect service. A+!
Beautiful view and ambience.. and excellent service. Overall.. it was an awesome experience. Will definitely go back. Thank you very much for making our experience a truly enjoyable and memorable one.
Am amazing atmosphere and location, kind and attentive staff, reasonable prices for delicious food!! Felt COVID safe. We’re coming back for celebrations.
Restaurant view is amazing, the ambience is also great. Food, particularly the seafood is delicious. Overall great experience
We book for 6 in table. The foods very good but there horrible service. We sitting for 30 minutes till they come to serve. We haven’t finish our meal they come to a get it away.
We were excited to try this restaurant pit on our last night in BC, so we were disappointed when they called us the day of to tell us that due to weather they were moving us inside. The weather wasn’t bad at all, but after arriving, I think I figured out why they changed us inside. There was only one waitress working! We were told that a lot of places were having a hard time hiring as the government recently extended covid benefits. The director of food services or guest services hopped right in to help as did the amazing hostess and even the bartender brought out food! The service was very slow in the beginning but once everyone helped out it got better although we did have to grab someone a few times. We ordered the scallops to start, they were cooked perfectly, we also ordered the olives and found them to overpowering with smoke flavour and citrus, which is explained in the menu, we just felt that was all you tasted. I ordered the pasta and clams in white wine sauce and it was delicious! Pasta cooked perfectly and flavour was great! My partner ordered the Mac and cheese and loved it, it was super cheesy and flavourful. We ended the meal with cream brûlée and the flourless chocolate torte, the creme brûlée was so good, smooth and flavourful, the chocolate Torte was good, very rich.
The restaurant is very loud as some previous reviews has stated. The views are amazing.
Very, very noisy. We were inside because of the rain. That was the noisiest restaurant I have ever been into. And, it wasn’t super crowded. The acoustics and hard surfaces really a disaster for us. Maybe put down carpets? Lower the ceiling height with fabric/kites? We couldn’t visit with friends and had to eat and get out of there fast. Not relaxing at all. The food, however, was excellent. But we won’t return, sorry.
Our waiter was fantastic super friendly and nice. The cheese bread was okay. Would not have again. The mussels were pretty good.
Good as always
This was to celebrate my partners 73rd birthday with two of our best friends. It is a great location. The service and the food was fine - nothing extraordinary, but good. I had the tuna melt and fighting my way through half of it I took the tuna portion out of the bread to eat the tuna on its own. The bread sandwich was large and didn’t cut easily. I also had French fries, which was too much. Otherwise, the view of the waterfront and the boats is wonderful.
Halibut with fingerling potatoes and green beans was excellent as was the duck leg salad. Perhaps a little pricey but the food really is delicious.
Laurie is a terrific waiter.
We had a nice meal and bottle of wine. We enjoyed a few different dishes. Some pasta dishes on the menu would be nice to see and some more vegetarian options.
Good burger, not too crowded during covid, max time to stay is 2hrs.
They have mice, and kept saying that it's normal because we're on a patio. I saw 2 of them on the garden side, and 2 other running into the main outdoor seating area. Disgusting.
Patio view is anazing
Loved the location and patio set up!
I do recommend ordering dressing on the side with the frittata. It soaked both the frittata and the side toast.
Can’t wait for the beer flights to come back!
Was a great Anniversary Dinner, even that was raining and we have to move inside the view from there was awesome too.
The server that we had was not friendly
Dockside never fails to please! You’ve become my go-to restaurant in the past 18 months. Always excellent service and great food, not to mention the best patio in the city!
Much nicer foods than 2years ago.
Very organized seating.
Great meal and lively atmosphere outside on the patio!
Great food and exceptional service. Absolutely recommended.
Great food great service as well as a great view of the water
The small menu options and rigidity in making any changes resulted in a limited food selection. It was a very disappointing evening compared with prior experiences at this restaurant.
seating arrangement indoors was and is too cramped, which seems strange during covid, not that I care about covid but i do like a little privacy and not having to hear everyone else's conversation over top of my own table.
Dinner menu sucks, and needs to change.10oz ribeye is a thin, all toooo thin ribeye. silly, and not worth the price.
We were seated on the outside patio, which has an overhang plus umbrellas to protect us from the rain (also works for sun, which was missing when we were there yesterday). Tables are placed far enough apart to give privacy space for each table. It was lovely.
They got my order wrong. Food was just okay. Too noisy. Took way too long to get a bill. Server was sweet...which redeemed an otherwise mediocre brunch.
Dockside has done a wonderful job during the pandemic. They have become a go-to place for me & mine. Excellent food, great service, and the most lovely outdoor space.
Highly recommend. The view and ambiance was amazing, our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, which always makes or breaks our experience, and the food was delicious! Thank-you Dockside! We’ll be back!
Excellent service and food was delicious.
The ambiance was very welcoming. Overall, our experience at Dockside was wonderful and our server was amazing. The food was delicious and the Sangrias was so good. I am definitely going back.
As a Vancouverite , one of 3 restaurants we go to ! Stunning views, great atmosphere and fab food. Never a disappointment !
The outdoor setting is wonderful, the weather was perfect, and we loved the carpaccio, cioppino and vongole. Truly an enchanting evening with a couple of vaccinated friends :-)
We had been here before and had the pork belly starter. Interesting flavours and textures. We booked for dinner but were sadly disappointed by the quality, flavour and look of the main course. The view is fabulous. Also the first time we were here, two of the ladies washroom toilets were blocked, disgusting and not functioning. I would not eat a main meal here again. Just do the Happy Hour and snacks.
Great patio . The food is delicious however they charge too much for the burger. By the time you get cheese and bacon and grilled onions it’s a 30$ burger. A bit steep.
