Dockside Restaurant & Brewing Company
The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

Thankfully it was a slow Friday night! We enjoyed not having all that many people in the restaurant. Service was good. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was good.
Good food and service, nice location and lovely view of False Creek
Good place, with good food, view, and service. We got a present card from our friends, it's why we went there, otherwise, it would be a little bit pricy for our budget. However, if you have a hundred bucks gift card to this place, you will experience unforgettable taste, they know how to surprise your taste buds.
Great waitress n the food portions was just right, hopefully parking more easily in the future
Came here for a birthday. Beautiful spot (even in winter), service was seamless and thoughtful, and dinner was gorgeous. This is one of the only places I would say there should be a little more music/noise for the sake of privacy, but otherwise it was an awesome experience and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you!
Came here for a nice dinner out with my Travelzoo deal, and the food and service was excellent.
The chili squid was so good, I could have eaten 3 more plates of it!
Had the Cioppino, lots of flavor and left Dockside totally full.
Definitely recommend, thank you for the lovely evening.
Everything was excellent about our evening and meal at Dockside. We were celebrating an anniversary and were delighted with everything. We made the decision to come back every year for our anniversary!
I have been to this restaurant a lot over the past few years. It appears they have just changed their menu. The prices seem astronomical for the appetizers: crab cake: a single one for $$$. The server was attentive enough. The value has been compromised.
Food has gone a bit downhill.
Went for New Year's brunch with my son. The food, service, and view of the marina were exceptional. Have been here a few times and have enjoyed it immensely. This time, the only downside was that we were seated near the bussing area so the noise level was somewhat distracting and a bit intrusive at times. I'll be sure to ask for a table away from that area next time.
I have eaten here a few times in the past and it has such an incredible view. Great location with walking trails, harbour ferry close by, and walking distance of Grandville Island. This time there was only a brunch menu so I chose the Corned Beef sandwich. Unfortunately it was not very lean so I had to take the sandwich apart and eat the leaner meat. I would not order this again or recommend it. I am sure next time I visit there will be better luck on what I choose off the menu.
Gods food and excellent service !
Lovely location. Food was tasty. Service exemplary. Aoife, our server was terrific!
We came to Dockside for Christmas Eve dinner and were really pleased. Although serving sizes were on the small side (pasta excepted), the food was very good and of excellent quality.
The food was very good. We started with the chili squid and arugula salad. My friend had the tenderloin which was cooked a perfect Chicago medium and I had the lamb which was delicious but a little veiny.
The service was great as well.
The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because I couldn’t drink my Americans. It tasted extremely bitter and burnt. I had to send it back.
The room was beautiful and the columns of noise not too loud except for the cell phones ringing front some tables which had a glowing blue aura 🤣
Very good local spot for lunch or prime rib dinner.
Excellent experience as always. Thank you!
Made ano early reservation and was called the day before to say we would be in the side room because of a big booking. Didn't have a view which is why we like to dine here. But fireplace was nice and server awesome.
The food and service were great. We come here often. This time for lunch for a special preChristmas visit.
The restaurant still hasn’t learned that the new trend in dining is to have soft music or no music at all. The base boom boom with no melody discernible was jarring and annoying. The manager turned it down after three complaints. But the excuse is always” we can’t turn it off” or” we can’t regulate the base volume”. Nonsense!
Be a leader in pleasant atmosphere for dining.
If we want boom boom, we can go to a dance hall or nightclub
No birthday acknowledgement
Even with the busy pre Xmas lunch crowds we had a window seat and good service. My only quibble is that the menu could use a bit of refreshing. I eat here a few times a year and the menu seems a bit static. I can’t recommend the Beyond Meat burger. The lack of condiments and lack of a good char rendered rather bland to say the least.
Not enough serving staff. Took us 25 mins to place our drink order.
I had a made a reservation for two people on Friday the 13th at 7:30 PM. Apparently Dockside was not taking any reservations for that day because they had a large party booking, and claimed that OpenTable had changed my reservation from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. I tried calling the restaurant when I realized what had happened and they explained to me that they were full for the night. I was extremely disappointed that nobody contacted me to let me know cause we were really looking forward to going to that restaurant and I made the reservation about a week ago.
Very enjoyable the noice level was too much. Love the setting
The shrimp sliders were excellent, should’ve had more! The Happy Hour beer didn’t materialize as there was a problem,it was hot! The view always makes up for anything, beautiful sights and lights! Service was great, can’t wait for summer on the patio!
The view at Dockside is always incredible whether it is raining or not. Dockside is one of my favorite places to go. The food and service is always great. You cannot go wrong.
Huge disappointment not being given service when we showed, on time to our reservation. No one was serving the host desk. It was embarrassing to wait as I was treating my man to dinner.
When seated , given a table that required fixing: could not put any wait on it or it would topple .
Appy did not come for an hour . When it did , we were comp’d 2 veggie appys instead of the burrata that never showed up . I guess they didn’t have ??? No explanation. Although the veggies were tasty and comp’d
In the end , we were also comp’d the bday dessert as I think the restaurant was really trying to make a satisfied
Unfortunately, the first impression at the unhosted host desk set the tone .
Will not be back .
Good food and great service always!!!
The food was good except the Fruiti de Mare, it was very fishy tasting. The service was slow and the meal to come was even slower...
Excellent service! nice and quiet environment on a Sunday evening.
The service was so slow. We were 6 people at the table. However they gave 5 glasses of water. We had to ask at least three times to servers to bring the extra glass.
The food was over priced. The lamb was so salty and garlicky.
We went to Dockside for our 10th Anniversary and everyone was aware of it, due to the message I sent through OpenTable. Amazing service, great food (the chowder is outstanding) and the price is not bad for a classy place like Dockside.
Beautiful location right on the water. Service was great and food arrived quickly. Definitely would recommend this restaurant especially if you have guests visiting as it showcases Vancouver’s picturesque waterfront.
Very nice atmosphere and service is excellent. The waitresses are very polite and courteous and let you feel at home. They would patiently answer your questions and give you good suggestions. The high ceiling is an attraction and the seating is spacious and you do not fell any pressure at all. Being by the water is another bonus and you feel extremely relax. The restaurant being inside a luxurious hotel adds its ambiance and you feel like to spend time enjoying.
Had read good reviews but experience was not good. Slow service by a waiter that seemed new to the role. Food was "okay" but not worth the $$$. Wine was good. Desert was abysmal: needed steak knife for what should have been chocolate. Overall very disappointing and will not ever go back.
Excellent food all around, great friendly service, peak dinner time is a bit loud, ambiance is great however. Well worth it for a nice gathering, date night or special occassion.
Amazing thanksgiving turkey dinner! Great service. The pumpkin cheesecake was delicious.
My son treated me to Thanksgiving dinner. The food was truly tasty - entree and dessert! The noise level was a little high but not too intrusive. Server was exceptional. Friendly, humorous, attentive and observant. Would certainly go back - particularly for a special occasion.
Amazing food quality and generous portions! Friendly staff but they seemed very busy to manage patrons, so plates sat on table for while before being cleared and no one came around to refill waters. But very friendly and helpful once we flagged them down.
Dockside is a special venue in terms of its location. The restaurant area is bright and modern with windows looking out onto False Creek. Very nice getaway. The server was extremely friendly, informative and attentive. My guests reported that their Thanksgiving meal was very tasty - I opted for SEAfood and a small caesar salad. The salad was delicious and so were the scallops with squid ink. The crab cakes looked very appetizing, but I was disappointed with their flavour and texture. I would hope the chef could 'liven' up the crab cakes and perhaps use more select pieces of Dungeness crab. The desserts were sensational. I would recommend Dockside for a friends get together or family meal. On the whole, I thought it was a good evening out. The server helped to make it a special night out!
