We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly seated. Our table had an excellent view of the lake. We each ordered the Sunday brunch buffet. There was a large selection to choose from. The carving stations for roast beef, turkey, and ham were well organized and kept clean. We ordered a ham and cheese omelette at the omelette station. It could have been left in the pan a little longer as the cheese didn’t melt. I think the new employee filled it to full. The only plates offered were stone cold. I can’t tell you if the hot items on the buffet were hot as soon as they touched the plate they were cold. I think they should offer hot or at least warm plates
Our server Nick J was friendly and attentive. He kept the plates cleared and water and coffee, which was very good, filled. I ordered a bottle of the house sparking wine which I thought was was going to be the resort’s private label but it was Wycliffe. It was still okay.
For a resort that’s suppose to be remodeled there was an abundance of bleached white oak very 80’s/90’s.
Your Fettuccine Alfredo tasted like dirty cardboard.
We have two children with multiple severe food allergies. The managers and chefs at Dockside went above and beyond to ensure that our children could eat what they enjoy safely. We ate their twice over a weekend and they even brought in a dedicated chef for our table to ensure that there was no cross contact with any of our children’s allergens at any point in the preparation and cooking process. The sous-chef, Vince, took great care and pride in serving us and came to our table to reassure us of his careful process and to make sure we were satisfied with our food. Portions were very generous, the food was well-prepared and delicious, and we were extremely grateful for this extraordinary customer service! Thank you Dockside!!
The food was really very good, the view was outstanding and service was excellent. The only suggestion we have would be to sit groups of unaccompanied teens away from seniors as they are louder and don’t understand personal space.
Everything we had was excellent!! Very attentive staff.
I had a reservation for 7 pm and they brought me in as soon as I got there. The service was great, the view was amazing, as I had a window seat. The food was very good. I got salmon. I would recommend to anyone for a date or a special occasion.
A Sunday brunch with great variety and a wonderful view. Ham, turkey and roast beef. Great desert bar. Lots of fresh fruits and cheeses. Mini bar for kids. View is one of the best in Coeur d'Alene.
Nice fresh flavors and a great view of the lake!
We are here for dinner and the Sunday brunch. Dinner was excellent but the Sunday brunch was the best I’ve ever had!
The "Food Week" options were good. Laminated menus not.
The food was wonderful. The ambience was perfect as we celebrated Valentine's Day. The only thing I would change would be our waiter. You could tell he had no interest in being there or doing his job. We were less than impressed by his attitude and his attentiveness.
The food was good and the service was outstanding.
Food was good. Filty silverware. The manager and waitress made it good.
Food was very good very nice selection. Will go back again.
Very loud. It took nearly an hour to receive our desserts, which were an ice cream sundae and a chocolate milkshake. There were 4 preteen boys that were literally running around the restaurant and not a single employee stopped them nor said one word to them. This was a special birthday party, of which we had made reservations and stated it was for a birthday. I made it known to our server who did nothing and offered nothing for the birthday. This was my first time at Dockside; I shall not return. I strongly do NOT recommend this restaurant due to many factors including uncleanliness, extreme noise levels, and absurd length of time waiting.
Great view of lake. Christmas lights are festive during holiday. Food was excellent. There were couples on dates and families celebrating children’s birthdays.
Dinner for New Year’s Eve. Dockside makes it special with their prompt service and professionalism, regardless of how busy they were. Fireworks at 9:00 pm were a great touch to our dessert. Nicely done!
Food was good and a good value. Service was outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and courteous to all his guests including the not very pleasant lady across from us. We came for dinner and fireworks after a movie. Always enjoy the view but the fireworks were a real bonus. Thanks for a nice evening.
My husband had the ribeye and he said it tastes good but it was tough I had the steak and prawns the steak was Grey with what looked like fake grill marks on it it was not even hot I ordered it medium and it was a medium but it was too tough even hardly eat it look like some fake food you might buy off Schwan's or something it was horrible the prawns were good we also asked for the roasted potatoes which were boiled not roasted not roasted we wouldn't need better but we had asked for better cuz they were boiled and therefore tasteless very disappointed second time we've eaten there and both times disappointed for the money it's not worth it
Our experience at Dockside is never one that I would recommend to friends or family. This was our third time visiting your restaurant and I am always optimistic that the experience will improve. Sadly, it never does. We made a reservation online and upon arrival we were greeted by a hostess that was unpleasant. The wait at our table for the waitress to acknowledge us was ridiculous and when our order was brought out to us, it was completely wrong and sent back. The atmosphere is always chaotic and the staff often confused. This is not an environment that I would suggest for dining. I must admit that my thoughts and reviews for Dockside are very poor.
Great view with great food. Salad bar was excellent and the food was super for the value.
we went for a family dinner...we got great food and great service...we will be back
I am not happy with our experience at all in which I emailed your general email box yesterday voicing my concerns but still have not heard back from anyone. We arrived at 6:30. We did not receive a friendly greeting at the hostess station. Immediate chaos was sensed. We were seated and we were pleased with our table location . It was a great view. Unfortunately, this was our only good experience during our time at Dockside. Our food took more time than it should to get to the table. When it did, the steak (ribeye) was burned on the outside and more rare on the inside than I ordered. The roasted potatoes were dried and shriveled as were the green beans. The bourbon steak tasted like the sauce was made of ketchup. Needless to say, we did not finish our meals. We also did not get our water glasses refilled. We decided to try and end the night on a good note and order dessert but to our dismay, that took an extraordinarily long time to get to our table as well. We almost left before we received it. 2 hours of sitting was starting to get tiresome. All the while, it gave us ample time to observe the large number of college aged kids (staff) scrambling as if they didn't know how to handle a full house. And in this time we saw no management presence. We were so glad to get our check and get out of there. Our original plan was to eat dinner and then visit whispers for a night cap. Instead, we went home because we were so let down and paid a check of almost $85 for the terrible dining experience.
We love this place and will be back BUT on this occasion we ordered steak medium well, it was rare as rare can be. Then a steak my husband ordered was tuff, very tuff and he (the meat eater who NEVER complains) couldn't eat it. I know it sounds awful for the food element of things but this was the first time we have been disappointed with the food. I will add, they made it right with us before the night was over. Still, I would highly recommend this place as their food is generally wonderful!
We are regulars. My husband and I come in at least twice a month and have been coming since you opened. It is a fun place to bring out of town guests. Being a semi retired chef, I must tell you your menu is tired. You really need some new choices.
*I ordered the Mai Ploy shrimp salad. The dressing was terrible. I have ordered that before and enjoyed it, but Christmas Eve it was not the best choice.
We come for the atmosphere, but lately the food has not been up to par.
Dockside is our favorite 'go-to' for brunch with our good friends. The food is always fresh and well worth the cost. The scenery is wonderful, overlooking Lake Coeur d'Alene. Eagles soar, ducks swim by, boats come and go. The servers are always courteous and happy to help. We haven't been let down once.
Service was so friendly and they were overly great about catering to our nut free and gluten free diets.
Great food and amazing dessert menu
The Prime Rib buffet was outstanding! Excellent side dishes and amazing salad bar. The view was fabulous of the Christmas lights on the water. An extra special treat was the Coeur d'Alene Chorus Sweet Adeline's women's barbershop group singing for us! A perfect holiday evening!
The Dockside never disappoints. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere... always!
The food and the view were wonderful and our server excellent as well. They only con is that we were chilly sitting by the window. Even at the booths, it didn't feel too much warmer.
We always enjoy eating at the Dockside, good food at reasonable prices with the lake view.
It was a slow mid-day visit and we had a reservation. We are a large family. For some reason, they struggled to get us situated. We were a group of 7 (reservation and I said that), they seated us at a table for 6. We got an extra chair & booster, since they were gone already. Then we had to go get more kids menus, because they didn't give us enough and didn't come back for us to ask. Then they shorted us two waters. We waited for each thing, but they just wouldn't come back to us so we'd have to go looking for it ourselves. Maybe it's because we're a large family? They didn't want to spend time on us? But that nice of a place with those prices, more than half empty... I was surprised.
Wow! Our experience at Dockside was wonderful. Our server (William) was so attentive even though the place was packed. The prime-rib dinner, delectable. Being there lit us up with joy. O, and the desert was over the top. Beautiful lighting all around us and even outside. Dockside is just the best. Their people are the best and their food is the best. Prices were well inline with many other places we have been but the quality was far superior. We can't wait to go back. The 50 mile drive was well worth the experience. Jim & Janet
Food was good. Was hoping for some Seafood in the brunch buffet.
The food has gone down hill some. (According to my friend) The fish and chips use to be made with panko which was better. Fries didn't taste good at all. The other food was fantastic!! Our waitress was just ok. There wasn't many people eating for us to continue to have to ask for refills. The gooey was amazing. All in all pretty well pleased.
This was a great restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The view and the food was fantastic. And it look like they had a good Buffet as well.
Steak was over cooked, Salad bar was not impressive and I feel I didn't get what I paid for so I say it is over rated for the service and the food. The table was very nice, the view was very lovely.
