The reason for the poor service rating was because we arrived at our table at 6:45 and got served our main coarse at 7:25. Salad bar was good. Wife's chicken dijon was good. My garlic roasted butterflied prawns were NOT butterflied prawns. Instead they were little blobs of meat about the size of your little finger. They must have been out of the prawns. Had I known this I would not have ordered them. This was an anniversary dinner. Very disappointing.
Yummy and great views!!
Ten of us came in for desert—we’d been told the “Gooeys” were really unique and special. First, there were no tables available that sat more than four people, so our group had to be spread out over three tables. Second these desserts were just overpriced, average sundaes—melts ice cream and sparse “special” ingredients. Not worth the trip into town.
Great customer service and atmosphere. The food was amazing.
Our server was so sweet, dinner was delicious and the the view is unbeatable!
Food and service was great, and the view was even better! We love coming to this restaurant.
Had a great time at Dockside. Celebrating a birthday with one of their gigantic gooey deserts which we couldn’t finish. I would recommend.
Service was great! Everyone was quick, kind, and polite. Atmosphere was great with wonderful view, which is what you are paying for. Food was of low quality. Had the fish and chips - it was dry, overbreaded and overcooked. We also had the trout, unseasoned and dry. Overall, if you want a great view and great service, go check it out! If you’re in for the food, not a good choice.
We had a pleasant experience. Originally assigned a window seat, I requested a booth and we were moved quickly by our server. Our waiter, Sean, was very good, kept our drink glasses top off and was patient with our delay waiting on a third person to join us for lunch.
We met family there dinner mid week. Ordered variety of food off menu. Oh my gee was it good. Salmon cakes were perfect; my mother didn’t complain about fettuccine and she always complains; others had steak, chicken. Then dessert which left us speechless. 10 of us still affordable, with a beautiful view. This is why we came here
Beat dinner ever. We had the trout and salmon and it was amazing!
Always a great choice especially for out of town guests. Consisant service and quality and nobody can beat the location....except Cedars Floating Restaurant!
Food and service was great. But we had a table near the table and it was hot. It felt like the air conditioning wasn’t running at all.
Upscale vibes, but you could wear shorts and sandals after being in the lake. We thought it was going to be “classier” considering the prices. Food was good, but not like “Oh my gosh! I can’t wait to go back!” Nice view of the lake & sunset.
Great views. Service was a bit slow but were there at a busy time. Our meals (salmon, steak, pasta and ahi) were above average for sure but the desserts were outstanding. Would go back for the coconut cake alone. Wow.
Horrible service, waitress was very rude and interrupted our party when we were ordering. Cold food and no service for water refills and 2 meals were brought To the table incorrect.
Best breakfast we have had in a long time. Very clean. Very fast service.
its a good atmosphere to enjoy your meal. food was great!
We understand the problems that go along with this COVID issue ~~ but! Our server was not properly trained in waiting tables. No napkins, place settings. The clam chowder (which we love) was barely warm. It took way too long to return with hot soup, water and the napkins/place settings. We’ve always enjoyed Dockside, but this isn’t the first time we’ve had a disappointing experience.
This was a dirty thirty birthday. My boyfriend has been going to dockside every year since he was a child. Last year he had gotten a special birthday desert. This year he got nothing, but a big bill. It was insensitive and not all that great. We had mentioned SEVERAL times it was his birthday. I had even put it in the notes when reserving the dinner. It was just a very insincere birthday, which may break tradition next yet. Step it up dockside. I’m disappointed.
We enjoyed a nice lunch with a lovely view of the lake. The fish and chips were thin with a nice crust. The trout had a light bread crust and also included the salad bar. Our server was pleasant. I would definitely go back when we visit CDA again.
Excellent meal and view... and they didn't even water down the drinks!! Well worth it to make a reservation if you're even remotely in the area.
Good food and friendly staff. Great view from all tables
Excellent location , services and food , recommended
4th of July weekend
We had a very nice anniversary dinner. The food portions were on the small side. Overall, it was good.
Great food, great view, great service, fair price.
My only feedback is we should have been seated in a booth further away from people. The restaurant was. not full, but we were seated in a booth right next to another family, when there was another empty one available. Encourage Dockside restaurant to be more diligent about spacing parties further apart.
It was a wonderful experience went a second time.
Dockside is our favorite place for a casual resort get-away! The service staff is extremely efficient & friendly and they have a great menu with variety & fair prices. The comfortable ambience with a beautiful view is the ‘cherry on top’!
Service was great, food was really good, but I had to send it back as they under cooked my salmon. Chef did make me another one that was cooked properly. We do love coming here though and will be back.
Very pleased by this experience. We tried 4 different meals and an app and enjoyed each of them. We are glad we found this place during our stay in Coeur d'Alene and would definitely go back.
The view was great. The servers were friendly. The kitchen is visible. The food exceeded our expectations for the price. The desserts are fanciful, fun, and delicious.
Very nice people and view
We had to flag down the Hostess who seated us because after 20 minutes, we still hadn't had a visit from our server. When we did finally get to place our order it took another 25 minutes for our food to arrive. Other people around us were being seated, served and were done long before us.
It was our first trip to Coeur d’Alene and the restaurant was a great spot for an early dinner. Great service and beautiful view. Cocktails were yummy!
We had breakfast for lunch! The Denver omelette was excellent! We topped it off with the Reese’s personal gooey. As educators, this has been our end of school celebration each year!
Had a wonderful dinner with my son. We were celebrating a special occasion.
Our serve was very helpful, accommodating with our seating and food substitutes. Took my boyfriend there for his birthday and we both had the prime rib which was excellent. They also gave him a birthday dessert which was delicious.
