My daughter took me to Dockside Bistro for my birthday. I have visited this restaurant several times and have always had a wonderful experience. This was my daughter's first visit and she was very impressed with the ambiance, the wine, our server and her filet mignon!

The house wines were quite good by the glass. The house salad was interesting and well done. The filet mignon was cooked to our specifications and was tasty and tender. The waiter was efficient and not too obtrusive. All in all, a pleasant experience.

We had the crab and prawns appetizer, very tasty except crab was a bit watery. I had the monk fish and risotto special, very good. My husband had Pear Gorgonzola Fiocchi with wild prawns. There were only two prawns and were smaller than those served with appetizer. Not much protein! We found the restaurant to be, not just cold, but freezing! I kept my coat on through dinner and noticed other people did too. We had a window table which would be nice in the summer but not in winter. The only light was a battery votive! We might go back in the summer.

We happened upon this lovely gem quite by accident, as the power was out elsewhere in the city, and absolutely loved our evening. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday, and she is a bit of a food snob. The menu choices were exceptional, the drinks (recommended by our waitress) were outstanding, and our waitress' recommendations for both food and drink were well thought out and absolutely perfect. We will return, as will our daughter with her husband.

In all our visits to Olympia, somehow we had never been to Dockside Bistro! I feel I've been missing out! Josh was our server and was very professional, helpful, and made us feel pampered. The food was exquisite! We've dined all over the world and this was some of the most perfectly prepared we've had! Can't recommend highly enough! We'll be back!

After 30 years this remains our favorite. Though a bit spendy the food never disapoints

Always a wonderful atmosphere, with excellent food, service and a creative menu. Also, a very good wine list with cocktails for those that choose to go in that direction. Highly recommended for a romantic evening or if you want to impress visitors to Olympia.

We hadn't been to Dockside in quite some time and decided to go for dinner on New Years Eve with another couple. All of our dinners were excellent and the service was good. We will certainly be returning.

Honestly I was not very happy going here for me second visit. the waiter refused to even look at my fiance when telling us about the specials, menu, etc.. also he was a bit slow and would not check in with us when checking the table he had to walk past us to get to. I was a waiter and that is wasted effort. The food was ok. I was very excited to have the Elk carpaccio. I guess the definition of carpaccio has changed as the elk was not 100% raw. As one of my favorite dishes I was flabbergasted it was cooked. Live an learn. I am sure Dockside does many things great. I just caught the ones that aren't.
