Food arrived at all different time, food was just fair, kitchen was completely in the weeds. Server tried but was not aware when the food was ready to be picked up. Would not go back to the establishment again.

Overall experience was excellent. Food exceeded our expectations. Service was a little slow, but understandable due to being busy. Only one small negative we had was crab cake dish had a few bits of shell.

Excellent seafood. Belated mother's day dinner for me and my mom. Have not been to establishment in about 2 years. Remodeled, more spacious. Missed Will favorite server. Never disappointed with food or service.

to start , I was a chef for many years so I have a very high standard when it comes to food. Saying that and to be brief, I ordered the scallops dish and 3 of my 5 scallops where burnt , now when I say burnt I mean as black as the street, the food took forever to come out but that was because it was a sat night and its docks there busy, so I show it to the waiter and he just says oh ok and walks away. come on now docks your better then this , needless to say I wont be going back , chart house for me , better bang for your buck and the view is 100 times btter

Arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time but they were able to seat us despite being very busy on Saturday night. Maine chowder was excellent as were the soft shell crabs which were one of the specials that day. The oysters were very good and nice that you can order by the oyster so you try a variety. Easy walking distance to Caesars and Bally’s. It was a little loud and difficult to carry on conversation. Will definitely come back.

We went twice in 2 weeks (May 2018). Both times the experience was very enjoyable with a nicely renovated interior and thoughtful service. We sat in the main dining area with white table cloths on the tables. The Shrimp cocktail, main soup (with cooked clams), corn chowder (soup), rack of lamb entree, various raw oysters as an appetizer, the halibut entree special, the potato encrusted flounder were the dishes that we enjoyed ( in 2 separate meals). I especially loved the rack of lamb which was delivered as requested (medium rare) and perfectly seasoned imo! The fish dishes were delicious, ample and healthy. The Shrimp appetizer are colossal and fresh and flavorful. What we didn't enjoy as much were the raw tuna appetizer and the grilled tuna entree. Overall, this is a professional operation with valet parking.
If you want to be eating in a landmark seafood/fish restaurant, it's a great shore place. They know what they are doing and the menu is varied. It's my understanding that the same owners run the Knife and Fork Inn Restaurant which is also a winning choice, with an authentic 1920's dinning room on the second floor (the best room) and a unique menu including lobster-thermador. Forget the casino restaurants, we love them both: Dock's Oyster House and Knife and Fork Inn of Atlantic City, NJ.

You just can’t beat Docks. Step back into time and savor the flavors. Soft shells were PERFECTLY rendered. Bar staff are knowledgeable and accommodating, just know what you like and they’ll take it from there. And always a 'piano man' who takes requests...cheers

Quite a historic restaurant in Atlantic City and noted as one of the top eateries in the area. I dined here on Thursday, May 17th. It lived up to it's reputation and I was not disappointed. My server Will was exceptional and was very knowledgeable in every way about the restaurant and the menu. He was quite personable and made my experience that much better. The halibut topped with crab meat over spinach with garlic in a lemon sauce was exceptional and one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. My appetizer of grilled octopus was also exceptional. The Bailey's chocolate mousse was another winner. I can't speak any more highly of Dock's as I can't fault my meal in any way. I will certainly return.

This is a gorgeous restaurant, really hip vibe. And the food was spectacular. Had the halibut special and loved it. Plus, there are about a dozen different varieties of oysters.

as always Docks is outstanding. I hadn't been there since the renovation and i must admit, i was a little hesitant about the upgrade but it turned out beautiful Nothing was lost in translation! Food, service and ambiance was just perfect! i have to say, Docks was the highlight of my trip to Atlantic City and it didn't let me down! I MUST always have my Docks fix on my annual trip. Kudos to the entire staff! btw, i had the scallops which were quite yummy.

Dock's has never been a quiet restaurant, but we've enjoyed sitting upstairs in the past because it was a little easier to have a conversation that the whole table could hear. But this visit, a large party on the first floor was incredibly loud, and their voices carried straight up to the second floor where we sat overlooking the first floor. It made for a very diminished experience. I'm not sure what the restaurant staff can do about this kind of problem, but I know other people were equally bothered by this party, because we mentioned it to the hostess on the way out, who told us other people had complained. I think Dock's should have asked the loud group to tone it down. Maybe they would be alienated, but instead of that, our party and several others had a bad experience at dinner.

Food always outstanding. Normally, noisey but bearable. This time unbearable.A large group sitting near us, was so loud, I had to request to be moved to another area. This was done and thoroughly able to enjoy the meal.
