Everything was good as always, our waiter RJ was excellent, he noticed a wrong dinner came out before we even had chance to tell him and took care of it right away..

Our first time back here since the expansion/renovation. Oysters, lobster, and fish all excellent. Our server, Doug, was awesome and overall I think this restaurant is very good value for money.
The only reason we would hesitate coming again is the noise level, it was not designed very well re the acoustics. For a couple or small group looking for a more intimate setting, this is definitely not the place.

I have been to Docs many times over the years. It was always one of my favorite restaurants Since they remodeled and enlarged I feel they lost ALL of their charm. Food still good but the wait staff really doesn’t seem to care. Not like when Arlene ran it. It was always first class service and atmosphere. Now. VERY noisy waitress slid my meal to me across the table and never came back to ask if we wanted more coffee. Very disappointing As a native of this area , I remember what Docs used to be. There seems to be NO dress code as most diners cafe in shorts flip flops and T-shirts. Very surprising. It was never that way in the past. I will however give it one more try (after the summer season is over). Maybe then they will be more like it used to be. After that I will have to find another favorite rest. As an aside... it seems to me that since they enlarged ( about 3 times the size it was). They seem to want to do volume and can’t handle the larger more roudy crowds. Very sad to see these changes.

Not an inexpensive meal but good value for your $. A most enjoyable venue that is worth going back to again and again with their fine diverse menu.

Great place, slightly expensive seafood, but very good quality. Oysters were excellent. Cocktail shrimp were average, the steamed clams were AMAZING (save some bread to dip in the broth). It gets busy so reserve a table well in advance. Great ambiance for a date.

Returned after 15 years to celebrate the night we were engaged. So much fun, such good food. Chris waited on us at the bar and made great suggestions and then RJ waited on us for dinner and did not disappoint!

My wife and I split a twelve oz lobster tail. While it was good, it definitely was not as tender as I expected based on the quality of our many prior meals there. Drinks and service were great as usual.

Overpriced and overrated. Disappointed in mediocre, overpriced food, our amateur servers and renovations of this once important Atlantic City legend. Don't need to return.

It is a great restaurant, have been going there for over 40 years. A real institution in Atlantic City with the freshest seafood around. Great bar happy hour and get there early if you want to get a seat - big local crowd tells you it is good. Free parking on lot next door.

My husband and I have been going to Atlantic City since the early 1960s. This was our first time at Dock's. We have no idea why we never went before and are now so sorry for all the years that have gone by. Our meal from beginning to end was amazing. Absolutely delicious!! Service was spot-on. I cannot say enough about this restaurant and cannot wait to go back. It is no wonder that this place has been around since 1897. Since we live only one hour away from Atlantic City, I have a feeling we will be returning more frequently.

So glad I decided to leave the Boardwalk for this birthday meal. This local place is amazing. Food was superb - fresh and delicious. We got a great table and our waiter, Bill, and the rest of the team were professional, cheerful, and very efficient. Bill heard me say that we were celebrating 2 birthdays and made sure that both of those desserts had candles. Will definitely be back the next time I am in AC and I'm not even a regular seafood eater.

Came here for my 25th birthday dinner with family and friends...our waitress Helen was awesome ! She was so helpful and reiterated and explained menu items to us making our experience very enjoyable! We come to Dock's every summer and will continue this tradition for sure. The clam appetizer in the red sauce is our favorite ! We also got the calamari and tuna tartar both were so fresh and the calamari was cooked perfectly...best i've ever had !

Overall, a very good experience. Service at the bar could have been a bit better - they were busy but not “crazy” - I was told to walk to the other end of the bar for service which seemed a bit counterproductive for them as well as me! The wait staff at the table were attentive and the food was very good. Would definitely recommend and return!

Food and service was excellent. Had a reservation for 7:30PM and was seated at 7:45PM which is fine as I was able to get a cocktail at the bar. Very crowded and should be because this is a special place. I shared a seafood sampler which was excellent (oysters, shrimp, mussels, shrimp cerviche, crab meat, lobster), especially the raw oysters and shrimp. For my main course, I had the seared scallops over broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes. Incredible. My drink of choice was Dock's Margarita with no salt and complimented my food choices perfectly. My partner had the crab meat sautee.

Service was excellent, prompt, courteous and friendly.

I 100% intend on going again and trying something else from this fine menu.

I have been coming to Dock's since I was a child (more than 60 years). We came last summer and were very pleased with our meal and the service. So we returned. No one acknowledged us at the front desk even though we had a reservation. Our wait person walked away before I had finished giving my order and then the tarter sauce was missing. The fried shrimp were overcooked and the breading was very hard and difficult to bite into. The salmon was unremarkable. The only dish that was enjoyed was the tuna tartar. We will not be returning. When one is spending a lot of money on a meal, one expects courtesy and good food. Neither were present.

The tuna tartare app was excellent. Our entrees were Bronzino, Pecan Crusted Salmon, and Red Snapper. Bronzino was bland, the Red Snapper was also bland, the Salmon was excellent. The wait for our entrees was disgraceful. Our waiter apologized when he brought our entrees, but it was obvious some of our food had been under a heat lamp waiting for all three entrees. A waiter serving another table noted to us that our server was aware of the delay.
Servers are not cooks and can only serve what is prepared for their customers. We did not penalize his tip for the kitchen’s lack of timeliness. There are so many excellent restaurants in the general area of Atlantic City and Margate City, we have visited this old establishment for last time.

This was night 2 of our AC Dock’s dining experience. Why go anywhere else. Dick’s has it all. Atmosphere, outstanding service, and most importantly the best food by far in AC. Enough said. If you love great food in a great restaurant, Dock’s is the place to go.
