While visiting in AC, we were told we had to try Docks. It did not disappoint! The restaurant has been in business since, I believe, 1897 and the history of it all was so intriguing. We opened the doors to a beautiful bar area with plenty of seating and a wonderful piano player! I love live music, so this was a delightful surprise! The music is familiar, yet not over-bearing so you can either sing along, or have a conversation with your dinner party. The bartenders were great! We were seated at our table and our waiter helped us understand the local favorites and his suggestions for dinner were so appreciated and delicious! We loved the Clam Casino and the crabmeat in our lobster! If we are ever in the AC area again, we will definitely stop in at Docks! I highly recommend it
Great wholesome food. Worth the money , although the prices were affordable!
Pecan crusted salmon was good, but served with apples, and spinach, very little of each. For 28 dollars, almost as pricy as the casinos. Watch you don't overprice yourself out of business. Been coming here for years, but the value isn't there, no salad, no bread.
Never disappointed when we eat here! Food, service and price all excellent!
Melissa, our server was great. Very friendly and attentive. Food was, just as it always is delicious
My crab cakes were small and expensive, the vegetables with the meal were undercooked and
they did not accept a debit card that I wanted to use.
great spot, The servers here are just wonderful and have great memories it seems. The bar area and lobby were nice and open, good place to relax and meet friends.
Amazing food, service & ambiance!
Seafood risotto special is probably my favorite dinner EVER from any restaurant!! Everyone had a wonderful dinner!
Other than the fire alarm going off, the dinner was great. I had the Tuna tacos as an appetizer which was delicious. For the entree I had the Crab Meat Au Gratin which was really good but very rich. Everyone else in our party really enjoyed their meals as well. (2) of the people had Crispy Wasabi Tuna which they also enjoyed. We had (2) deserts for the table, the Key lime pie and the Baileys Chocolate mousse. Both were some of the best deserts that I have ever tasted.
I highly recommend this restaurant as both the food & ambiance were fantastic.
Great martini, and buck a shuck happy hour. The Halibut was the best I've ever had.
So healthy the fish, and reasonable wine list options.
Everything was incredible. Great food, service and ambiance
Had a good but mixed dinner at Dock's. The raw bar oysters were spectacular as always, but the fried oysters were a disappointment, especially for an oyster house!! They were heavily breaded, not juicy and a little bit greasy. I really expected a more delicate treatment. I wish we had gone with a broiled version. The caesar salad was fresh and crisp but lacked flavor. The dressing needed a more assertive seasoning, more lemon, anchovy or parmesan...something.
Our soft shell crabs were meaty and fried perfectly with just a light coating to add to the crunch.
The atmosphere was wonderful, same lovely decor and live piano music is hard to beat! We'll try Dock's again, hopefully have better luck ordering.
Everything was wonderful as usual
We wish only that there was more plain grilled fish
We miss the old oyster crackers
The menu additions are great
We had a wonderful wait person
Had not been to Dock’s since the remodel and was totally impressed with the new decor and ambiance. Food and service were excellent. Definitely will return soon.
Food was delicious, service was excellent and the ambiance was wonderful.
We are looking forward to going back and dining there again!
Oh wait it was great the food was excellent never disappointing me of the tax that’s why we keep coming back
This place is incredible and has some of the freshest and most delicious food I’ve ever tasted. The Maine chowder was my favorite
Extremely noisy , hard to carry on conversation . Also never recognizes special occasions, a congratulations on your special occasion would have been appreciated.
Best Restaurant in Atlantic City.
Docks could easily be among the ten best seafood restaurants in the country. The food is great, the menu full of imagination and standards. The wait staff simply superb. Best oyster choices and fresh seafood anywhere. Docks never seems to please, always a winner!!
The service was professional and timely. We were not rushed at all. The oysters were plump, briny and fresh. The soft shell crabs and the stuffed flounder were expertly prepared and delicious. The lemon meringue pie was first class. Go, enjoy!
Great service and food was delicious. Piano player has bar patrons sing along to old classics
Very good service and the food was excellent. The piano player was a nice touch; he was able to play several requests. Do not like the valet parking...better when you could park your own car.
We had a wonderful dinner here!!
Our waiter was Jose and you was perfection
Main chowder was excellent as was the house salad. The bronzino and salmon were both very good. The vegetable sides were somewhat over cooked.
The service was excellent.
Have wanted to try oysters but waited till we came to Dock’s because their seafood is always delicious. Wasn’t disappointed with the oysters. Fresh and delicious. So was the rest of dinner as usual. My wife and I are going back next week to celebrate our anniversary!
excellent all around
Every other city we visit, we always try to discover new restaurants. Not Atlantic City. We go to Dock’s every single time. The seafood is so fresh and delicious, we love the raw clams and oysters, and the entrees are spectacular. This time we had to scallops as soft shell crabs- both were delicious. Plus the piano bar for a drink before dinner- we love it all!
I have been here many times and have had great meals. This time however was the worst and it was a Birthday celebration. There was not one item that I enjoyed as always how we they did comp deserts and take a couple items off the bill. All in all not happy with this latest experience at all. Surprised!
Best halibut I ever had. It shouldn’t just be on the specials. The raw oysters were fantastic as well. I’m absolutely coming back.
This was our first visit and we'll be sure to go back. Wonderful jumbo shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, and a great wine selection. Great server too!
This was my first time to Docks, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was top notch, and the food was delicious. There is a reason it's been in Atlantic City since 1897.
My boyfriend and I loved our dining experience at Dock’s! We were impressed with the service and the food. The fried oysters and clams casino for appetizers were great and the red snapper I had for dinner was delicious. We would definitely go back to Dock’s next time we’re in AC
Docks is the best seafood restaurant down the shore, no doubt.I loved the crab- corn soup, I thought the Crabcakes were sensational, the cheese pie was so light, the service was incredible and the prices were so reasonable, can't wait to go back!!
A little pricey but worth it. Always delicious. Never had a bad meal there. Service is always good.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food atmosphere service was excellent
Awesome resturant I would recommend to my friends.
