Really enjoyed our visit here. Food was excellent. The gin cocktail offered by our server was amazing.
One of my favorite places in NYC. AlWays good food and great service.
We went here for her daughter’s 23rd birthday. It was a Monday night and not too busy. The food was very good, the service was extraordinary. I had mentioned on Open table that it was her birthday and they were aware. They gave my daughter a free dessert and were very generous with the drinks. Our waiter Matthew was wonderful
We had a wonderful time! It was my birthday, and we just wanted to have a leisurely girls' brunch to chat, get a little tipsy, and eat good food. They seated us at a corner table out of the main flow of the restaurant, and Ellen, our server, struck the perfect balance of checking in on us and giving us space to just enjoy our meal. The food and drinks were delicious, the service excellent, and the restaurant itself wonderfully cozy on a grey Sunday morning without being cramped. Definitely coming again!
Docks has been great for years. New chef created Best dish there ever. The Cod Special was SUPERB. WE HOPE IT BECOMES A REGULAR MENU ITEM. ELLEN WAS ALSO SUPER.
Referred by a friend. Great wine list and food. We Loved it!!!
Loud even early on a Friday evening. The service lacked. The food was good. The room is spectacular! Not rushing back.
Exciting place to be. Great food. Great bar. Great service! My wife and I have become regulars.
I have been to Docks on many occasions and for many years ... I am never disappointed. I only wish that they would open a restaurant on Long Island so that I could visit more frequently.
Love Docks. We try to go there every time we are in the city.
We went to Docks to celebrate something as a group of ladies, and it was perfect; we felt very welcome and the mimosas were as bottomless as Alice's rabbit hole -seemingly unending! The food was tasty and the staff was kind and attentive. This will definitely be my go-to large group brunch spot.
Food was ok, way too overpriced. Definitely not a great value.
Prix Fixe is a good value. Linguine with seafood (pictured) is delicious. Dover sole roulade is pricey but good with nice presentation (pictured.) Fresh clams from raw bar recommended. Excellent service.
Food was phenomenal. Had the Lobster Risotto and it was as good as everyone says. I also had the salad special that was fresh and absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that I was forgotten after I sat down and waited quite sometime for a waiter to take my order. While that can be understandable and he apologized (It was busy Friday at lunchtime), it happened again after my food came. No one bothered to take my desert order even though I made eye contact with other waiters. By the time my waiter did show up, he apologized again but ... twice in the same sitting? Thought he could have done more than just that and a sheepish grin.
I used to love DOCK'S. Have been going there for over fifteen years. Always the same table. Always the same cocktails. I would give it great reviews every time. However, this year, something has changed. In fact, I got the same feeling the last time I was there. The management seems to have changed. The servers are a bit on the rude side now. The food, although still very good, the portions seem to have been down sized... and the price has been increased noticeably. This last visit was a major disappointment. First, the waitress insists on changing my drink order to something the restaurant was pushing that day. Then she gets it wrong, and I get something that I did not like at all. When she finally bring me the drink she insisted I try... I still didn't like it. However, she did not offer to let me go back to the drink I originally wanted. Then the food: Very expensive. Very small portion. Sorry, I'm afraid my friends and I will no longer come here.
All of the above
Great food and service which is why it has stayed in business all these years
Wonderful fresh fish, service was a little erratic. A very nice evening.
I love this place. I have been there 4 times now and it has been excellent every time. The menu is varied and wonderful. There is something for everyone in the event they are not big seafood fans. A great Filet Mignon! The service is great. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I look forward to going back again soon.
It was a rip off, hugely overpriced and my tacos were dry and extremely small. There was barely any fish in them, they were thing tacos with cabbage. I paid $21 plus tax and tip for a bite of cabbage. I can cross the street to grand central tacos and get better more flavorful tacos for $5.
We have been to Docks before for dinner but we were not aware that they had a Sunday brunch until I received and email about their special Easter brunch. I thought the unlimited mimosas and bloody marys were awesome and a great value. The food was very good. I had the Lobster Hash from the regular menu which was delicious. My husband had the lobster quiche from the Easter menu which was good but it was room temperature. We mentioned that it wasn't hot to our waiter who did offer to have it heated up but my husband declined because he didn't want to wait Other than that one thing, everything else was great.
Had not been to Docks in many years. Very pleased that they continue to impress in every way. Occasion was birthday lunch for a work colleague; we are about to move into a new office in the building where Docks is housed. Professional staff; prompt and courteous. Companion had shrimp bento box and I had salmon; both tasty and presented beautifully.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere
7/10 food. Took a while for waiter to come over but once they did the service was good. Lobster risotto comes w head of lobster for presentation (no meat inside) very strange!
The restaurant is beautiful. All of the wait staff was extremely attentive to our drinks and needs. The bottomless mimosas are delicious! Everyone in our group loved our meals. I would definitely recommend the brunch.
I had the Dover Sole. Tasty, but so not worth $44. The man at the table next to me had the same reaction.
Great night. Service was great and food was delicious as usual.
It’s always a pleasure to dine at Docks. The food and drinks are delish. They just changed the menu on the Dover Sole so please ask before ordering. Evidently, you must specify the new or old way.
Birthday. Good for groups.
First restaurant ever (and I go to many for business lunches) to review the list of my allergies which is part of my Open Table profile. Amazing. Much appreciated!
Docks is one of the most consistent restaurants for fresh, good tasting food, fine drinks, superb wait staff and friendly casual dining. Our recent visit was to celebrate both our son's engagement and his fiancee's birthday, and the Brian, our waiter, joined in the celebratory fun and made our son and fiancee feel special. The maitre d' gave us an excellent table and arranged for a candle in a dessert, and Brian snapped photos for us. As usual, the drinks were perfect, the food delicious and a good time had by all.
First time to Docks and it will not be the last. The food was terrific, the seating is very comfortably spaced, the atmosphere is relaxed and the service was good. Great place to have a very nice seafood dinner with many choices. Very pleasurable experience. I highly recommend the place.
Everything was excellent. Great priced Bottlmless brunch menu.
We were in New York for my husbands birthday
Great happy hour specials!
Service was excellent. Wine was fine. Ambiance great. Food bland. Not seasoned. Tasteless. Had the trout. It was steamed. Had it before and was wonderful.
Waiter could have been more attentive; we had to flag him down for everything, he never checked on us. When I requested a coffee refill (this is with everyone at the table having brunch), he ignored the empty coffee cup of the person across from me, and was going to walk away from the 3rd coffee drinker without offering, but she stopped him. Then, even with 3 coffee drinkers getting refills, he didn’t think to offer more cream. We asked, and he brought a demitasse cup of it, even though we had a little milk pitcher on the table, now empty. We asked for more, because honestly, with 3 ppl having coffee, the amount given was ridiculous... and he brought us another demitasse cup of it.
Very crowded when we were there, for weekend (Sunday) brunch. The table behind ours had 6 ppl or more, who were accomodated by extending a table that otherwise was a 4 seater, like ours. But they didn’t move the tables to make room for the additional people, leaving us very crowded, with 1 person being bumped by people at that table, every time someone got up or moved around.
Music is much too loud, given the size of the crowd. We had to shout to be heard during much of the live music set.
Even with those frustrations, it was a lovely brunch, with good food, in a pretty place, and with great company. With the reservation, we were seated as soon as the group arrived. We were never rushed, and were there about 1.5 hrs, enjoying the bottomless brunch.
Please note: the restroom is up a flight of stairs, and many of the tables are also up some steps (3-4?). This is not a handicap-accessible space.
The portions are small and overpriced. The food was good but the value was only fair. The restaurant was very noisy. Service was good but rushed.
This is the ultimate place to hang out for a leisurely dinner. Great food, - especially the seafood towers, calamari & fab Brussels sprouts, not to mention the superb giant martinis. We are regulars and hop Docks stays forever.
