Everything was great.
We really enjoyed ourselves. The food was outstanding!
We had an excellent waitress (Jackie) who had no support from the staff. She had to do everything.
VERY bad service day. We have eaten regularly at Docks since it opened as we live in the neighbourhood. We have rarely had bad service but this day was exceptional. We ordered the restaurant week special figuring it would be delivered quickly. We came at 2;15, there were plenty of waiters and help as usual. Exactly 40 minutes after ordering I had to speak to the manager as to why we had not gotten our bread or salads. We got our food quickly after that We ate and left as we had to return to work.
Good food very nice server
Everything we ordered was mediocre at best except for desert, which was very good. The place is very noisy and not worth the prices charged.
Great fresh seafood in a pretty space. It can be noisy but you can always ask for a quiet table. The service is slow. Dont go there when you're in a hurry,
The place is nice but a little noisy from the bar area. The Lobster prices are way too high. The food is good.
Went there to celebrate a few birthdays in my family. Found a table extremely cramped. The portions of food were very small. And the kicker of everything is deprived of the food was exorbitant. We left hungry.
Lovely Sunday brunch. Quiet jazz trio played in the background and menu choices were more than adequate (although fried chicken would have been better with waffles rather than sweet and spicy wings). Service was friendly and attentive and our server, Nate, was a doll. The $30 bottomless brunch is an awesome deal.
The food was mediocre but the brunch special price was unbeatable! $30 for an entree and unlimited mimosas/bloody marys! The ambiance was very nice and my friends and I had a wonderful time.
Celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary on August 9th. Janelle, our server, was very attentive. My husband’s shrimp risotto was good, shrimp although a bit too salty for me, was perfectly cooked (fresh and not rubbery). I had the branzino, which was excellent. We’re big fans of Docks. Always look forward to every meal there, special occasion or not.
Great tomato soup. Delicious chicken. The best chocolate pudding in The Big Apple!
The restaurant is great if you are in the area but it is super busy and the wait time for the food can lag a bit if you are on a business dinner or lunch.
the waiter disappeared and the maitre de had to double as a waiter
Good food, lackluster service. Took a long time to get water (not until we asked after wine was served. Didn’t remember it was a birthday. Thought the table was for two instead of three.
Quality has dropped on this once fabulous seafood restaurant. We were disappointed with the service, portions have gotten skimpy and had to ask for bread basket multiple times.
Just a great fish spot with a clubby bar feel. Feels like a grill at a club.
Food was very good, quite quiet during a late lunch time. Waitstaff was good, and they picked up the slack when our original waiter disappeared.
As always, Docks is a good choice for a lovely Sunday brunch. One of our favorite Manhattan spots. Relaxed, elegant setting for good brunch specials. They no longer offer their regular seafood menu at Sunday brunch, but do offer some seafood specials, or include seafood in omelets, etc. Good service, good food, and nice surroundings. Good choice near Grand Central. Bon appetite!
For some reason, I didn’t have high hopes for this restaurant but needed a last minute reservation. All of those doubts were quickly dismissed as I arrived. It’s a very nice restaurant. Amazing waitress (I think her name was Jessica) and great food. Nice portions and fairly priced. Will definitely return!
Ate here for restaurant week, place is iconic so had to try it. The oysters were disappointing, no flavor whatsoever, the rest of the meal kinda bland also. The space is great tho, drinks were great price for happy hour, bartenders and wait staff friendly and good service.
Restaurant week menu left something to be desired. Not worth the $42 for the available options.
We took the advantage of restaurant menu, the regular price menu could be a lot pricier. Food was very good and the NY Cheesecake (not included as +$5 on the restaurant week menu but at regular price of $11) was really good. Service staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth to dine every now and then.
The staff and owner Stuart made our special lunch extra special !
Over priced and over rated. For the expense account set.
The atmosphere, decor, setting reminds me of an old movie (in a good way). The restaurant week menu was uninspiring, which was disappointing. We ordered off the regular menu. Our food took a long time to come, but it was delicious.
Alway fresh and well prepared seafood. Great drinks. Love going here. We go often.
This place was amazing ! The food tastes great and their bottomless brunch was fantastic. Our server was super nice and made sure he took care of us and refilled our drinks. Highly recommend!!
There’s no beating $30 bottomless brunch in the city. I ordered the smoked salmon omelette and my mom ordered the lobster hash, both dishes were great and the portion size was on point. I also got a creme brûlée for dessert and it was amazing!!! I’ll definitely come back with a few of my friends too.
Always welcoming and special. Though the drinks from the bar are a bit pricey.
My wife and I hosted our nephew to dinner and we wanted to be able to have a nice conversation and to be able to hear each other. Docks very kindly moved us from a table in the main room, which had live music and a lively noise level, to the corner of a side dining room. It meant that our server had to walk a bit further but it made for a perfect evening. The food and drink were quite nice, but it was management's flexibility in moving us and our server's patience that made for a very pleasant evening. We'll be back.
Food was poorly cooked and poorly prepared. My wife and I had salmon, which tasted "old"......
The food at Docks is PHENOMENAL! Top quality seafood at a reasonable price served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It's not cheap but the food and drink are worth EVERY PENNY! Justin was totally accommodating, helpful and patient! Each course was better than the rest! I will be back soon!
My fav lunch spot! Great seafood & ambience! The staff is very accommodating plus ensure you’re comfortable as well as attended.
Second visit to docs. Excellent choice of food seafood fish meat salads. Chose seafood as it’s area of specialty which was very good crab meat lobster and one party had a steamed fish. Excellent very attentive service by young woman named Jackie. Prices are reasonable. The large facilityI was quiet.
Our waiter was super chill
Food was just fair. Very noisy.
