DJT Ratings and Reviews
My family and I were in town for a wrestling tournament and we wanted to stop by our Commander in Chiefs place of business but were worried about the dress code. We looked it up and it stated casual so we showed up in T-shirts and pants and felt welcomed. The food was second to none, Filet was perfect and shrimp cocktail was phenomenal!! Thank you DJT 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Disappointed that the main dining room is not being used anymore. Seating was just off the bar and didn't feel very cozy. Far too much lighting for an evening dinner. The wine was excellent, our dinners not great. With so many restaurants to choose from it was not a good choice for the value. I had so many great meals there before but disappointed tbis time
A very lovely, elegant restaurant that is great for casual or more dressy meals. Service and food were excellent! The Best Margarita pizza! Very nice wine list! So nice to be in a restaurant where you are not rushed nor have to listen to loud casino noise which is common for Vegas. Will most definitely go back!
My financé and I met at this bar and restaurant several years ago. We go back every year on our anniversary to have a glass of champagne and dinner in the beautiful restaurant. The restaurant has been moved to the lobby and now...you are sitting at the front door when you are trying to eat. Not classy at all. Very disappointed that you are no longer utilizing your greatest asset...that amazing restaurant. It is so pretty and it always seemed busy when we went.
We were going to book our wedding at the Trump for next year but decided...the vibe and elegance of the property seems to have changed. Super sad....it is like a corporate hotel now.
After a long drive, my 16 year old daughter and I were looking forward to a good meal and quiet relaxation. DJT did not disappoint. In fact, it definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was great. Our waiter Guerrero was extremely attentive and flexible. My daughter had the filet mignon and raved about its succulence. I had the fish and chips (minus the chips) and substituted another side for the chips. Truly, the best beer battered fish I have ever tasted. The prices were reasonable (especially for Las Vegas) and the atmosphere was welcoming. I would highly recommend the DJT to anyone. If I ever return to Las Vegas, I am definitely going back to DJT.
We have eaten here at DJT for dinner in the past and it was much better back then, at least 6 years ago. Breakfast is fantastic, but dinner was a disaster. We both ordered prime steak....at best, maybe it was choice- fatty, full of gristle and absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Too bad.
The resturant is in the Trump Hotel in Vegas. The food is good, a little pricey for my taste, but the food seemed just as good off the strip, but the price is a little steep for just an ok restrurant. But the service was good. Ok if you stay at the Hotel, if your a reg. Joe, go off the strip for your everyday meal if you can.
I really wanted to like this place, but I have to give it 3 stars.
The hotel is wonderful but the restaraunt was a bit of a let down. The service (or lack of) was the worst part...not friendly or attentive. The food was good but there are definitely better places on the strip. Everything we ordered did come in a timely manner though, and its a very comfortable atmosphere. I also appreciated the cleanliness.
Overall, DJT was okay. Had I received better service and were I a little more wowed by the food I would recommend.
It was acceptable, but not outstanding. 2 of us liked our meals, but my daughter found her pasta dish flavorless. The menu lists many DJT private label wines, but they were out of all reds. When it was time for desert, the menu lists several options but when we tried to order, we were told they were "out" of deserts. We were seated at 5:00pm and to be out of the restaurants red wine and desert seems unprofessional. Our waiter mentioned 4-5 times that he was ill and was not happy to be there. Prices are at the high end so expected a superior experience. It was generally disappointing.
Restaurant was nice! Would have been better if bar was separated from the dining area! It kind of disrupted the view! My table was right next to the tables with bar stool chairs so it was kind of numbing! Felt like conversations were competing with those of my table! Some reviews say it's not fine dining but Trump website says it is! Either way I would go back but would definitely ask for a table away from the bar tables! My wife and daughters still had a great time! Go Trump!
Unfortunately we must have made our reservations on a bad night. We were seated imediately but our service from that point on was one of the worst experiences we've ever had in Las Vegas. Our server was overworked, our food was forgotten and cold. The steak was well done, so my husband sent it back. 30 min later he told them never mind and we left. My pasta had almost no flavor and .. Just pasta. It's sad because I was really forward to this date night.
I was excited to be trying the DJ T restaurant, expecting it to be top-notch (as most of Mr. trumps properties including hotels usually are).
1st the positives:
The seared salmon was excellent – I wouldn't say it's the best thing/Salmon I've ever had but it was certainly adequate - if a little high at $32 for the entrée - especially considering the decor (see below). The real winner of the meal was probably the accompanying mashed potatoes – definitely gourmet.
The Trump (red) wine we had by-the-glass – the "Meritage" - was beyond excellent! I will definitely be buying a bottle or 2 in the near future.
The service was excellent. The woman was new, yet still excellent. The gentleman (I guess who is training her) was cool as well with a funny sense of humor.
Now the Cons:
The most striking thing about this restaurant was that it was basically a restaurant with "no walls" – what I mean is that it was not separated really from the lobby of the hotel or the bar area! It was more like really nice tables which were really part of the bar area – basically simply a bar restaurant. definitely not a fine dining restaurant atmosphere/environment ( and it seems to me Mr. Trump would absolutely not approve of something like this for his one and only restaurant in this world-class property).
It's possible the usual area (where they had the restaurant before) is under renovation (?) but this at least was not explained to us – they just said "The restaurant is now out here."
If I had known about this when I made the reservation I would have changed our dinner plans over to the Wynn ( probably the wonderful SW Steakhouse).
I am hoping they will see this review and think about having the restaurant in a proper 4-walled environment (by the time we take our next trip out in the spring) as I definitely would like to try the restaurant again (in a proper environment :-)
Food was mediocre. Waitress forgot to even order my entree. Asked her where it was at which point she entered it....still took 25 minutes. Spoke with manager who said she had told him it was for a guest who had just arrived (not that she'd forgotten to order my food). He apologized and said he would remove charge from bill. She brought the bill, never said a word, and the charge was still there. Called the manager over, fixed the bill.
Overall, really disappointing.....was hoping for more.
Wanted to have Thanksgiving dinner at DJT in the Las Vegas Trump hotel. Found only bland average hotel food which wasn't bad, but much below expectations for the $48 per plate price. You can do much better at other places for that price, such as the Wicked Spoon in the Cosmopolitan.
Food was delicious. Came warm, and all a at once. No waiting for trickling items. It was a holiday. I think they maybe were understaffed. All tables had reservations, so they probably based their staff on that. Walk ins had rough seating, Couches and lounge areas. Definitely a plan ahead venue.
Restaurant was great, we were in my Wife's car in which she drives a Toyota Yaris, so the Valet attendant parked it all the way by the street. In a way I don't blame him cause the place is sort of high class but however I can't be happy about that. Especially when my wife is a Registered Nurse and I'm a Firefighter and that little boy is a valet attendant. I don't think I'm better than anyone but if that's the Valet policy so be it then I can play that game as well. Aside from that I was there for my Bday and to support Trump on his Presidential victory. Trump 2016!!!
Went to DJT restaurant, actually surprised we could get a reservation the night after the election in Las Vegas. In town for a medical conference we wanted to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and the selection of the new President Elect. Dinner was tasty. We're "low carbors" but enjoyed our meals with excellent wines. It was not as expensive as anticipated. It was quiet and peaceful and all staff were friendly and attentive. It was impressive that many "dignified voters made their choices quietly, therefore not needing to interface and debate the opposing parties intrusiveness into our constitutional right to choose whomever we want". As a treat we bought "Make America Great Again" hats and Trump shirts afterwards in the hotel store. After sharing this information with friends and colleagues, they requested we bring them back hats. We're all professionals and are looking forward to change.
The food was okay. We had steak, and it was good but not steak house quality. Not worth the price. Wine prices are too high for the pour and the pour was not consistent, my husband had more in his glass and that still did not seem like a normal pour. We ordered a second glass of wine and when the waitress remembered to bring it we were done our meal. The e service was terrible! The waitress Jamie was not very attentive, she came by twice to check on us did not refill our water and almost forgot our wine. The restaurant was very noisy with the ball game on. Did not make for a pleasant dinner experience. The Trump hotel is beautiful and very comfortable, but the owner needs to upgrade the dining.
