We didn’t get a chance to enjoy our dinner, although We have ate here before and the food is good.
We arrived and waited at least 5-7 minutes for anyone to greet us. our reservation was not ready, the hostess seem a bit lost. She did however took our name. We waited another 10 minutes. To find out they wanted to sit by the door entrance and bar. We asked to be sit somewhere else more quite. Finally they did, but to an unattended area. A gentleman, not a server, asked if we want to drink something. We said yes, he brought a wine menu. And then disappeared. We walked out.
We came for our anniversary. We had a reservation but couldn’t be seated and had to wait. Then we were then seated upstairs. Only two couples were up there. We ordered drinks and app but after 12 minutes neither was delivered. Looked like they overbooked and sat us upstairs to get us out of the way. The other couple left too. Sad ending to what I thought was going to be a great night.
The seating hosted seemed overwhelmed..
Drinks at the bar were quick and bartender was great. Guess we should have stayed there and ate.
Pretty Pricey. Service was good. Food was good with good size portions. Only issue was we ordered baked brie for appetizer and it came as a fried piece of brie. No problem with fried foods but I was expecting baked brie and not fried cheese.
Great spot near the water with outstanding service and amazing food. The cocktails were amazing and David, our server was great.
A classic throwback, great people watching,
Celebrating my daughters birthday. They made her feel special with both food and service. We travel and are foodies, and she loved everything from the lobster bisque to the creme brûlée.
So I 've been there couple of times. This time I brought some of my friends to show them how nice this restaurant is! Unfortunately, comparing to my previous experiences, the food was not anything special. Maybe the chef was not as usual. But despite the fact we ordered the same thing we always have, the steaks were just dry and not juicy at all. It was kind of embarrassing infront of my friends :(
We found Djon's a very nice place to have a good dinner in a pleasant atmosphere. There are several areas of seating that range from cozy to open and bright. The food is very fresh and they can tweak an item to your taste. They were able to serve us plain sashimi instead of the seared tuna on the menu. There is live piano music and a very active bar area. My only caution is the outdoor seating area, which is very nicely setup, but does allow for smoking. As we passed thru that area the smoke from cigarettes and cigars was pretty strong.
Djon's turned out to be a very big disappointment. The prices were very high and the food mediocre at best. The service was friendly and efficient. It was quiet enough for polite conversation. My wife and I ordered filet mignons and I ordered a lobster tail as a side. The steaks were cooked to ordered but the quality was typical for a cheaper restaurant. The lobster tail was tough and dry, obviously overcooked and maybe previously frozen. It was not served with clarified butter. I brought a slice of key lime pie home for dessert. The pie was excellent and the best thing about the meal. I would like to recommend Dijon's, but I can't. The meal was very expensive and the food just doesn't measure up. It might be a nice place to drop by for coffee and a dessert.
Delicious food especially the Lamb Chops. The service was excellent. A friendly, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
We had the "SPECIAL" of the evening, the Steak Oscar. I had my filet cooked medium well, and it was melt in your mouth tender. There was not much crab, but the béarnaise sauce was perfect as well. We each had 1 mixed alcoholic beverage and out total bill came to over $150 plus tip. The waiter was very attentive, and the food was delicious. We sat in the tables down the hallway and there was a lot of traffic, I would have preferred a different table for that reason, but that is the only negative I can think of. There was a large group of people sitting around the piano player singing Billy Joel tunes loudly, and having fun, but we opted to walk on the pier diagonal to the restaurant which was very relaxing, and the sunset was gorgeous that evening.
We had some family visiting from out of town and decided to take them to one of our favorite restaurants.
Awesome bar! Food was excellent!
Food was great but service was subpar. Took 1.5 hours to get our first course and about 25 minutes for every subsequent course after. The restaurant was busy but not slammed; many tables got sat after us and left far before us.
Beautiful setting! The hostess came to tell us when the sun was setting so we could step outside to watch! The meal was delicious and very specially!
Elegant outdoor bistro setting. Great food. Excellent service.
Excellent food and experience. HAD DIFFICULTY CARRYING OUR DECENT CONVERSATION DUE TO THE NOISY ENVIRONMENT.
Great food and service in a fun location with lush décor.
This is my new up-scale group outing go-to restaurant. From the moment you arrive and turn your key over to the valet until the very end, everything is PERFECT! We were a group of 7 and there were no order mistakes, fabulous and friendly service and food that every single person in the group loved. This NEVER happens! I go to Florida about twice a year and this place will be one of the restaurants I go to every time.
Michael was an outstanding waiter... very attentive... wonderful service
I was a little disappointed in the rice served with sea bass
sticky & unappealing
Overall very pleased
They used to have better food. Salad was sparce and wilted, seabass hard as a rock, and $15.00 wine glass very low, not even 2 oz worth
Excellent! A little gem in Melbourne beach!! We are locals who visit often!
We visited Florida recently and tried Djon's. The food is excellent, however, we ate outside and there was a table of men that were smoking cigars that they had apparently bought at the restaurant. It was annoying to have to smell cigar smoke when you're spending a good junk of change on dinner. Also, the waitress we had, don't remember her name, was too "snooty" acting for our taste. Not sure who she thought she was, but we weren't too impressed with her.
The server was spectacular on top of his game and very kind and polite. The food and drinks were as usual fantastic! Truly a classy and wonderful dining experience.
Everything was wonderful but we were sat between two big parties that were very loud. It was hard to enjoy a quiet dinner together when you can’t each other talk
Very nice. Good service and food.
Go to place for us. As good as usual. Eating lunch outside a special treat. Look forward to getting back.
As always great food, great ambiance...this time the service was far from being up to par
As always, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Good value for the money. Shrimps and grits great as usual. Rib eye steak was delicious.
Excellent food, slow service with a half empty restaurant.
The waiter , Anthony was impeccable and professional. The food was fantastic, lovely dining experience.
Food is overpriced. I paid $79 dollars for the ribeye 'special'. OUCH! That is down right price gouging. I won't be going back anytime soon as you can find the same quality of food for much friendlier prices elsewhere.
We chose Djohn's to celebrate sisters birthday. As usual, our server, Todd, was terrific. It was a great meal and wonderful evening.
Wedge salad was completely white lettuce. Not a hint of green. Pretty disappointing for a steak house. Outside seating was nice but nothing extra special- the red /pinkish lighting on patio makes it hard to tell how your steak is cooked... Would suggest changing that. Service was fine but nothing noteworthy. When asked about wines they’d recommend we were just listed off names from menu vs any description or suggestion.
Slow service, overpriced food and somewhat unfriendly staff. Could be so much better. This area needs a good steakhouse. Unfortunately this is not it.
Everything was excellent, very clean restaurant and good server. Time to get food to table was too long. Biggest complaint is I opted to add scallops to my steak as an add on for $15.00. What I got was two medium size scallops. That cost me $7.50 per scallop and that is too pricey. The menu by and large is very pricey. Overprice, too long for food to arrive and very pricey.
My sons Birthday
Great atmosphere. Service excellent. Duck very good.
Super impressed with this place. Food was amazing, service was outstanding, and the ambiance wasa perfect. Definitely will be back!
