Djon's Steak & Lobster House
Absolutely love this restaurant 💛
Running out of turkey on Thanksgiving is very disappointing.
We were celebrating a birthday and Thanksgiving. Our waiter never introduced himself and he failed to tell us the special for Thanksgiving was no longer available even after we asked him the details of the special. In his defense the restaurant was understaffed and we certainly could forgive these incidents. What we could not forgive was the total rudeness of Rebecca (I assume she was a hostess)when I tried to ask her a simple question about substitutions for the dinner they had run out of. Instead of insulting your patrons maybe a you should try kindness. By the way, you own staff knew when we had a problem that it was you. That speaks volumes!
Drove 90 minutes just to have dinner there. Was really looking forward to it. Granted it was a holiday but we had a reservation, waited 30 minutes for a table and 60 for food that was well done and ice cold. Huge disappointment.
We were seated in a corner off to the side, and it smelled. I ordered NY prime strip, and it wasn’t USDA Prime. We waited over an hour for our dinner, sitting in their smelly area. I will never go back.
Fine dining, live entertainment
Allways the best, fun romantic and the food is spot on.
Dinner experience was overall, great! The scallops with rice, however, could have used more flavor; more sauce.
As visitors to the area, we relied on other reviews to select Djons. They did not disappoint! Lovely ambience, our server Michael couldn't have been more professional or attentive. The stuffed lobster special made for a most memorable meal. Not an inexpensive meal but truly special. Highly recommend!
My wife and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary at Djon’s each year. They have been very accommodating with helping us plan a little surprise for one another at their establishment. My wife and I plan on celebrating our anniversary at Djons every year.
We always have a great time here. It’s always a relaxing date night!
Good food. Ambiance was a bit quirky and noisy. Steak and appetizers very good. Desserts mediocre
Excellent drinks by Shelby, excellent service in the dining room by Terri. Great oversight by Melina the hostess.
We had a choice of where to sit. We were told if we sat by the indoor patio windows we would not hear the kitchen noise but nice piano music. Well we only heard kitchen noise. Very disappointing. But after dinner we sat by the piano bar with our wine. Very entertaining!
I was blown away by this restaurant. The moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile and felt very welcomed. The ambiance was so romantic with the dimmed lights and live piano player, which was absolutely amazing!! The food was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I ordered the sea bass and my husband ordered the lamb chops. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or just to enjoy a wonderful meal with class. I am very pleased and thankful for a place here in Melbourne that is completely up to par with my expectations!
It took over 2 hours to get our entree. It was very busy though. Glad we had friends with us to help pass the time.
Having been to the Chart house on many occasions in the past we were disappointed with the food.two of the party ordered the vegetarian option which was completely unacceptable with all the sliced veggies under cooked ,to thick and blackened and charred, and inedible.whilst a complaint was made to the server at the time full charge was made on the bill.will not be inviting friends out to the Chart House again
Great food and good service. They do have outdoor sitting out front which is nice to watch the sunset with a drink. Catering to the more affluent crowd with prices to match.
Food and service were excellent. Great location. Will definitely return
It was a large party and both my wife’s and my steak were order medium came out rare. The server agreed he and took them back to the kitchen. They cooked them a little further however when they came out were tough did not taste good.
The server was out of this world good and handle the party at 12 without a problem.
There was an issue with my filet and our server and the staff were prompt to fix the issue, comped it and even offered to make another one. They did everything they could to ensure the issue was fixed. Thank you! Will be back again.
We went 2 nights back to back. The food on both nights was perfect, tasty and portioned just right. The first night we sat around the bar area slow uneven service, didn’t we matter? It was 9:00 and starting to slow down, so why? The second night a Sunday I just think our waitress was short staffed, she was good but only because she was crazy busy. Would I go back? Absolutely. Pictures are from our anniversary stay at Port d’haven B&B across the street
Djon's was a really good place for a lovely meal. It is a well kept secret down south. We did have a little trouble finding it. But we did and it was well worth the trip from Cocoa. Really cozy for an evening out. That is inside or outside, very romantic either way. The food was prepared just as we liked. There was one little problem that arose. I was unable to finish my very delicious meal. With the appetizer for each and the salad choice for each, I had no room for the whole gorgeous steak, plus mushrooms and potatoes. So it was wrapped up for me to take home and set aside til after desert. But another waitress gave it to someone else, thinking it was something else. So they came to the table and explained what had happened. They made it up to me. Very classy. I thank them very much. We loved it and will definitely be back and will tell everyone we know about our great experience.
Dined outside, great service, food and cocktail.
Good food, great live music, the service was a little slow. Will be back.
The food was as expected given the prices but we weren’t overwhelmed. The escargot was not up to par but the prime New York strip was excellent and cooked to my liking. The service was horrific. First, we arrived on time for our reservation and it took more than 10 minutes for the hostess to greet us. We had requested a table in the lounge so we could listen to the piano player but the hostess really had to look to see that and then realized we were reserved for a table but it wasn’t ready yet. The diners had to go bags on the table so we figured it wouldn’t be long and headed to the bar. After 45 min the group finally left and they were resetting the table. However, before we knew it a group of people that just walked in were seated at our table by another hostess. It was obvious that the hostess knew this group. I went up to complain and we then had to wait for another table! Finally we were seated 1 hour after the reservation. It took longer than it should have to get menus. Then we ordered a bottle of wine. The wrong one came but they obviously corrected that. We ordered the food and we asked to sub mashed for fingerlings but we were told no. Both were available that evening! Next salads arrived before our mediocre escargot. The server apologized but it wasn’t overly sincere. We got the entrees and sides which were very good and to our liking. Finally the server at the very end apologized for the entire evening and we thanked her and shared our frustrations from the very moment we walked in. We thought at the very least something would be comped. An after dinner drink or anything but that wasn’t offered. I really think the apology at the end was to salvage her tip. It will be a very long time before I go back to this restaurant.
Went for the flavors of the month. I had gone last year and it was a wonderful experience. This year not as good. We were seated in the main bar since they would have to make room for us (2) in the dining area even though we had reservations. Also as soon as the waitress knew we were there for the special menu it’s like she couldn’t be bothered.
I made a reservation online during off-season for a Sunday evening requesting seating for two by a window at 6 PM in the main dining room. We arrived early and easily found parking in their private lot. We were greeted warmly and escorted to our table. Menus were handed to us as we sat down. James, our server, took our wine orders and returned with a basket of warm bread, which is shipped daily from New Jersey. He described the Chef’s Special and his own recommendation, which both sounded temping, but we were enticed to dine here for their Flavor! on the Space Coast Menu. It offered a $40 4-course price fixe dinner during the month of October.
We ordered two different appetizers so that we could share; both were equally good. The six Escargots had a white wine, garlic, pesto cream sauce that was delicious. We sopped up the extra sauce with the bread; it was that good. The Calamari was a very generous portion, flash fried and served with a small pot of marinara sauce – we wished for a bit more sauce, though. We both ordered the House Salad; fresh dark greens were topped with cranberries, walnuts, tomatoes and blue cheese. It was chilled and very refreshing. We had a choice of five entrees on the Flavor! menu, but we both both chose the 8-ounce USDA Filet Mignon served in a demi-glace over tender roasted fingerling potatoes. It was prepared rare to our specifications and was tender and very filling. Other choices on the Flavor! menu were Seared Salmon, Roasted Chicken, Tortellini Quattro Formaggi and Vegetarian. For dessert we ordered NY-Style Cheesecake and Key Lime Pie. My dessert came with a lit candle to celebrate my birthday. If you dine before 6:30 be sure to request the Early Dining Menu.
Service throughout the meal was attentive; water glasses refilled, bread basket refreshed, even napkins refolded when we left the table. James was quite personable, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I can’t say enough about the beautiful ambiance
Outstanding service, food was fabulous and the ambiance was the best I have ever experienced!! Can’t wait to return!!!
We had dinner at Dijons Steakhouse for the Space coast Flavor dining! The restaurant is really nice and the staff were very friendly. We arrived a few minutes early but was seated immediately. Our waiter was very nice and personable, he brought us water right away and gave us the menu and also told us of the flavor menu a 4 course meal. We definitely went there for the flavor menu. We ordered the Calamari, Blackened Ahi Tuna, Caesar Salad, House Salad , 8 oz Filet mignonette Demi glazed with medallion potatoes, Ny cheesecake and Key lime pie for dessert. The food was phenomenal and perfectly seasoned and paired. We both tried the Ahi Tuna for the first time ever and we liked it. Tuna was so yummy. If you haven’t tried Dijons please go and check it out for the flavor menu this month. You won’t be disappointed.
We went for the "Flavor on the Space Coast" fixed price menu. our table tried all the appetizers. All great!
Some had the Filet, others had Salmon. We had a great table by the back window #30. Nice round table for 6 of us. It was thoroughly enjoyable evening. After dinner we listened to the piano player. Awesome night!
Absolutely excellent!! The food was phenomenal, service was perfect and overall experience breathtaking. Definitely will return.
It was my husband's birthday and the experience for both of us was outstanding. We both had the filet mignon which was excellent. The server was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back - it was worth the hour drive to Dijon's and back to our home!
Really nice piano bar/lounge area. The food is expensive but delicious and cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit
The service was outstanding given it was a table for ten. Everyone ordered the filet BUT I was very disappointed that the steak was only accompanied by fingerling potatoes and NO vegetables to add color to the presentation....needless to say my wife and I were very disappointed.
The October special pre-fixed menu was an outstanding value and the food was absolutely delish. Service was spot on, we had a great evening!
Everything was made and presented so well. What a great experience. Great and friendly service.
We did the Flavor menu. Our food was delicious and the service excellent
We decided to try during flavor month and wanted to try the restaurant before so it was a good opportunity to try their food during October. We were seated right away but were not acknowledged by anyone until 20 minutes later when we finally got some water, still no menus or wine list. We finally received a wine list and then our waitress showed up 5 minutes later wanting to know our selection , when we selected a wine she wanted to know what number it was on the menu instead of the name , we had no idea what number it was and she seemed put off that she had to look it up even though we offered to look it up for her. She disappeared and then served wine to the table next to us who arrived 25 minutes after us and gave them menus and took their order. 40 minutes into our reservation we had no wine and no menus and our water glasses were now empty. We left and went and ate a wonderful meal with attentive servers at Cuisine. Never again. For an upscale restaurant I would expect attentive servers instead we were ignored.
