It is restaurant week at the jersey Shore. This place, as always, puts their best food forward. We come here as often as possible.
Great find, food was delicious ! So good, went twice this week, wanted to try the new Spring menu and support restaurant week. Staff pleasant and helpful, Gabriella and Jessie excellent waitresses.
Went here for spring Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. The yellowfin Tuna tartare was light and a great starter, the mushroom soup was robust and earthy. For our entree, the Gnocchi were fluffy and melt in mouth delicious with the fresh pomodoro sauce. The Salmon was delicate and perfectly done. For dessert, the smores ice cream was a nice finish. This is a very good BYO restaurant. A bit noisy with several smallish tables (like ours was) but the meal itself and the service were outstanding. Would definitely come here again.
Always a great meal!!
The menu is not large but everything they do the execute at a very high level. Always have a great meal every time we go there. The staff is all very nice as well.
This was our second time at D'Jeet and it was on Valentine's Day. The place is very nice, but a little sparse on ambiance. Our waitress was friendly, accommodating and helpful with the menu, especially choosing desert. The menu is built on fresh, local if available, ingredients that are usually cooked with creativity and a touch of class, but the result is a very small menu so selections are limited. If you're looking for lots of choices, this is not the place for you.
We started with yellowfin tuna tartare served chopped over thin slices of avocado with free form, fried rice paper crackers. The tuna was yummy, the avocado perfectly ripe, the cracker quite tasty. That was a nice start.
My date had the Scottish salmon perfectly grilled with accompaniments. It was a solid representation of what the chef is capable of preparing. I had a roasted Colorado lamb shank that was disappointing. The natural flavor of the meat was very strong, gamey, and I love lamb so I know it wasn't just me. It was not well seasoned, needed salt and pepper, was very fatty and the sauce (gravy) was bland. The pureed butternut squash it was served over was not particularly tasty either. The dish was just not up to their usual standards and something I would never order again.
The desert recommended by our lovely young waitress was the bomb. A cocoa infused bread pudding served with homemade ice cream, a chocolate ganache and a few fresh berries. That disappeared and we were thinking about licking the plate, but manners prevailed.
D'Jeet is a nice place, but it is pricey, probably because it's in the Grove, a high-end shopping plaza in Shrewsbury. Most of the entrees are well over $30 and the appetizers are up there, too. The first time I felt the value was better than this time, but there was the disappointing lamb that offset things. Oh, it is BYOB so bring your own wine.
Food was good. Went on Valentine’s Day so it was packed, but the servers were attentive nonetheless.
great food, interesting menu, friendly service staff, right prices, always wonderful.
Great food from apps to dessert. The staff is friendly and informative. This is a must try.
Reliable dining, gourmet flair, ample and easy parking BYO. perfect.
It was VERY COLD. They need to do something about he entrance as nothing blocks the wind and cold.
This gem never disappoints. Fresh made to order dishes with locally sourced ingredients
Menu always seasonable and just fabulous with diverse choices for every palate
Always our go to place with friends
This was our first time at D'jeet...as we had heard from friends that it was very tasty. Another great farm to table restaurant. The table ordered everything from salads, sandwich's to entrees and everything was tasty, super fresh, locally sourced, and great presentation. Overall a very, very solid experience....and they are BYOB...so you can have your own pairings!
Never disappoints, Well Done
A great favorite, especially after a hard afternoons shopping at The Grove.
The owner/chef uses all fresh ingredients and preparation is superb
The sauces are light and flavorful
We had fig bread appetizer, then pork chop and scallop entrees. All utterly delicious. Unpretentious, but with a clear gourmet touch. Kudos!
This place never disappoints, love the food!
Great time delicious food
Food was fresh and plating was great
Overpriced and underwhelmed. I think they are good for a burger and sandwiches but that is it
We had a pleasant experience at d'jeet. We were a large group (11) and the wait staff handled the group very well. Most people in our group were very satisfied with their meal (the chicken entree was a favorite). I had the duck breast and thought it was 'okay' (... therefore the 4 star rating). I would recommend the restaurant and look forward to trying it again.
The food here is excellent. The lighting during dinner is too bright. It makes it feel like a brunch place. I highly recommend turning off half the lights during dinner. It would feel more cozy and intimate.
Also, be sure to BYOB. We didn't know going into it.
Not enough of dinner options to order from. Prices are way to high for what you get. Portions are much smaller. I went last summer at least 3 times for lunch and 3 times for dinner. Lunch is good if you want a sandwich. But for dinner, it's not worth it at all! I brought 2 other couples with me and they couldn't believe the cost for what you got! They said they will never return, ugh!
As usual the wonderful dining experience I have had here on many occasions, nothing much changes here but the specials! Well done.
Great meal! Seasonal foods. Both of us had the sea scallop special Saturday night. It was excellent. Crispy Calamari salad was also very good. Will definitely go back more often.
Food fine, service meh. As usual, the food was very interesting, tasty, and attractively presented. The service was slow and inattentive, not what we have come to expect here.
Reliably good meals on every visit. Great service and great food.
We have alwsys enjoyed our many meals here. Casual atmosphere; creative local food.
The food at d'jeet was SO delicious! We loved the casual atmosphere and the service was great. Cannot wait to go back!
Interesting food but not enough dinner options. Would have liked to see more choices. Will go back for lunch.
Wonderful as always... great burger, always delicious.
D'Jeet was amazing as always. My go-to is the chicken salad pita wrap with truffle fries. The goat cheese fritters are amazing!
Simply the best food around. Never a disappointment.
Food was average. The service was poor. The place looked dirty.
The ingredients were fresh and the meals were creative, as always. I had the charred octopus special and it was amazing!
Have never had a bad meal here
Been dining since they opened
Always good, little overpriced but I keep going back. Goat cheese fritters were great but only get 5-6 and they were size of grapes. Gnocchi always great as is sauce. Wife gets Joey and always happy. Friends had pasta as well, everyone pleased. Solid place
D'jeet is our favorite go to place when we are shopping in Red Bank. The menu is always changing with the seasons. The food is always amazing! The deserts are so creative. Everything is always fresh and delicious! Highly recommend this gem!
