Sorry to them them closing. Hope they find a new location. Always been our favorite place in Des Moines.

Food is excellent, service very good. Portions generous so that sharing appetizer, salad and entree would have been more comfortable. Our fault, not theirs

Love Django Food and being able to bring own wine with no cork fee. Mashed potatoes could have been hotter. Waiter was perfect

Everything was excellent other than the service being on the slow side , the meal almost made it to the table before the bread did.

For valentines day. Also a “last hurrah” before they relocate. Excellent as always.

Food was great. Waitress was wonderful and friendly. However we got stuck in a room with 2 other tables and the lady at the other table was incredibly rude and loud. Cursing, making crude comments, and being in that tiny room did not help. It was so incredibly hard to hear anything my fiancé was saying to me. Overall it was a great date at Django, but we would’ve liked to not be seated next to a loud party.

Amazing experience. Great waitress that was able to discuss dishes in French. No corking fee helped make the meal with drinks really affordable, especially since the food is top notch!

Love coming here. The food is excellent, service is great and the vibe is relaxed and chic. My husband took me here the night he proposed, so it’s a special place for us. Sad to see it close and hope it reopens in a great spot!

For my wife's birthday the family wanted one final time at Django's. This restaurant will be closing in a few days and everyone wished to enjoy their favorite dish. Django's did not disappoint. Most every dish was beautifully prepared. One dish did arrive on a bed of noodles when fingerling potatoes had been requested. This mix-up was quickly corrected. Django's no corkage fee remains a draw for us. Unfortunately we will have to find a new restaurant for our family celebrations.

Best meal I have had in a while! Calamari appetizer had a nice breading, spicy touch and came with a lovely spicy marinara and aioli. Enjoyed the filet paired with pureed potatoes and brocolini. The French toast dessert was to die for. Took our server’s advice and ordered it without the bacon.

As always, the food, service and ambiance were perfect. My son is an aspiring chef and Chef George and our server were very kind to him and his interest. Can't wait for them to reopen.

Our waiter was slow and forgot to give us bread plates with our basket of bread. When we asked for bread plates it took forever to get them. We didn't receive the attention that a table normally receives when eating dinner and having drinks. He was polite just slow and never around when needed.

It was good, but not great. The onion rings came out cold, and the seafood stew had way too many potatoes that turned into mush. for 28 dollars, there should be more seafood, and broth, and bread to dip into that broth, but it was all eaten up by those pesky potatos

2 orders were incorrect. One ordered pasta combo and wanted the chicken/bacon mac and received plain mac n cheese. Another had the django dip and asked for no onions on the sandwich and it had onions all over it.

Seated in a table/booth and waitress was at our table promptly. She was pleasant and although she was running non stop between tables, she had our glasses filled and even checked in on us a few times. We ordered poutine appetizer, always yummy! I had my norm of salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Mouth watering as always. Hubby had steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was juicy and tender even cooked medium well. Our drinks were the bomb. They make the best Manhattans. Will definately miss the GREAT food when they close.

Went to Django for our anniversary dinner - just the two of us. Our table was OK but not private at all. So not able to have a private conversation without those sitting on either side hearing you. We personally do not drink - but it appears that they have an extensive wine menu. The meal was delicious. Next time would ask that they give us a more private table. Other than that a good experience.

Django is a go-to for ladies night with my best friend. This time, we didn't bring a bottle of wine, but normally we do. The service was amazing and they didn't scoff at our desire to share an entrée. I am always impressed and satisfied. It is worth the spend.

Hostesses were polite, and the food is good. However, our wait staff member (bun on top of her head with a chopstick in it) was incredibly slow and unwelcoming. She disappeared for 20 minutes in between getting us bread and when she returned to ask about drinks. She then made two trips to another table before asking us about appetizers or meals. We left after an hour, when we had intended to get dinner after our oysters. We decided the wait simply wasn’t worth it. She only had three tables, and one was done eating, so it was really unclear what she kept leaving the dining area to do.

Last night was the perfect example of why I dine regularly at Django. The restaurant was extremely busy and they couldn’t fit our party in the main dining room on a last-minute reservation, so they put us in one of the private dining rooms without enforcing the food minimum. This was perfect for hosting our special guest and made for a memorable night.

Django is closing next month due to renovations at the hotel that houses them - hopefully they will find another venue in DSM. Their cusine is Bistro - but they do it so well! And with no corkage fee for bringing your own wine - it makes a great, high-end dining experience affordable.

My family and I went one evening, and it was amazing. Everyone had very different meals: some had appetizers, others had salad/appetizer combos, some had happy hour specials, and some got the full-on entrees, and everyone was happy. A few people shared a bottle of wine with no corkage fee, and the rest of us had cocktails. Everyone seemed to love it!
