Everyone enjoyed the food which was a unique spin on known dishes. Table said the chicken tikka was best they ever had (including Indians at the table).
While the quality and variety of food and ambience was superb, the quantity of food was rather miserly.
The experience was fabulous otherwise and everyone indicated they would return. Be advised that parking (surface and underground) is $10.
The sizzler dish with shrimp was absolutely outstanding. Please ensure it stays on the menu!
The museum was awesome and the food was delicious and the service was spectacular. The museum aroused my interest in history once more. All in all it was a day well spent making my 70th birthday very memorable.
Fantastic food, excellent service. Worth every penny and moment.
Delicious, interesting food, great service and atmosphere. We eat at Diwan every chance we get.
We had lunch here a few times with family and friends. The servers here are just wonderful and have great memories it seems. We enjoyed the view and lunch. Must try!
Delicious food with interesting fusion of flavours. Great service and ambiance. Tables are well separated for social distancing. All staff wear masks and are respectful and mindful of the current pandemic.
I enjoyed the dishes that we ordered - great taste, variety
The architecture was extraordinary
There was live jazz music on the Saturday that we were there
Yet there were quiet places for people to sit if they wanted to have quiet talk with their friends.
All in all a great experience
Excellent and well-prepared food in an unusual setting. Surrounded by huge interior panels painted in 1799, from a house in Syria. Well worth while.
Lovely experience
For a minor celebration of our great life together we regularly treat ourselves to lunch at the Diwan Restaurant.
We love the decor the unintrusive service and ambience.
The food is great too
Wonderful outdoor patio and relaxing atmosphere. Loved the little jazz group!
Good food but low value for the prices, excellent ambience, great service from Kelly!
Great service by Angelo, very safe during Covid, beautiful ambiance.
It was a beautiful lunch. Except for the wasp friend who kept flying around the food, it was perfect. Thank you so much.
Simply perfect. Food amazing, atmosphere lovely, service great and environment impeccable. 5 🌟 all round.
Beautiful place & décor. My wife and I went on a Friday evening. There was live music. We had a view of the stunning Agakhan Garden and the Ismaili Centre, It was magical. The food was great. Amazing value!
The food was excellent but we were disappointed by the service. Slow and not very attentive.
Excellent outdoor environment. Food was very good. Server was very friendly.
Great food and ambience. Someplace unique. Great date spot
Might not be for everyone but an experience better actualized than imagined. Food was excellent and the value equally so. Definitely worth checking out if just for the museum setting itself.
We were celebrating a birthday. Great food and service and the sunset was stunning. A wonderful place to celebrate or just have a relaxing dinner. Can’t wait to go again.
Exquisite taste, service and ambience! Amazing job adhering to health guidelines.
The food was amazing, so was the environment and the customer service. Was very calm.
Rather pleasent !!!...
A nice selection ...
Wish it was open more evenings ...
The server was not polite at all ... the minute we arrived at 8:30 she told us that we must order appetizers and our main she rushed us all.... we placed an order and while eating she came and asked us if we are going to have dessert as the coffee machine is going to be cleaned and washed we ordered ate and left before 10pm.
Loved the treat of a jazz band
Wonderful atmosphere. Tour the gardens while you are there.
The food and ambiance was amazing, we did a tour of the museum and then had dinner.
It made a wonderful casual date night.
Just what we had hoped for: a new cultural experience in fine dining!
I really appreciated that you matched the cuisine in the restaurant to Islamic culture around north Africa and the Middle East and India. I have not found many restaurants in Toronto that can cook this type of food and do a great job of it. It brought back memories of Morocco and Turkey for me.
1. Online menu shows a fixed price menu. When I asked the server they advise that since Covid the fixed price is not available. That’s at least 3 months that the online menu is outdated.
2. Recommend you offer a discount on parking when dining.
3. Harissa chicken shawarma was delicious.
This was a wonderful experience. The view was good, food were great, and service was good.
Outstanding service and every bite of food is a mouthwatering experience. Delicious.
A few weird things here. I’m sure they’re trying to cater to a wide audience but they would benefit from being more bold with their spices in their dishes.after all, people should know what they are getting into when they book at a restaurant that bills itself as African/Arabic food. Service was good, ambiance was good, not too pricey and not noisy. Worth a visit.
Excellent food. Excellent service. When you book your reservation, you can ask for a table on the patio. The noise of the highway is pretty loud.
Great food. Limited choices. Great ambience. Great service
Very nice ambience on the patio with live music. Some mild noise coming from the DVP but not noticeable after 8pm. Food is delicious. Service was a little bit on the slow side, but we were not in a rush and they were busy. Highly recommend!
This is the most perfect experience in Toronto-delicious food, safe setting, great jazz music, beautiful ambience, wonderfully attentive staff. Really a special evening. Having a jazz band playing outside while dining inside with the doors open meant you could talk and enjoy the music at the same time. So special during Covid to have live music.
Good ambiance, food and service. Slightly more expensive for the size of portions.
