Great as usual - Divino never disappoints!
We went for Valentine’s Day and were disappointed with the food and service. We had to ask several times for our drinks and eventually they arrived after we finished our salads. That being said, our waiter was very nice and friendly. Perhaps the experience would have been better if we went on a day other than V-Day. We would consider giving them another try.
This place absolutely wins on service (at least, on my visits). I visited Divino twice within a month. A friend originally recommended this place for dinner (first visit) and I had lunch with a colleague (second visit). Both times the food was good, but the bread was outstanding. On the first visit, I had multiple servings of the bread while waiting for my companion. On the first visit, I had the fish as an entree (and too stuffed from the bread to have a starter) and while it was cooked and tasted fine, I'm not a fan of red sauce (yes, I know it's Italian) as it muted the flavor of the fish. On the second visit, I had the veal scallopini and it was well prepared: not overcooked and the lemon caper sauce was wonderful. I passed on dessert both times. Service, however, was quite remarkable. I found both waitpersons, on each visit, friendly, helpful, smiling, accommodating - all the simple things that many restaurants forget these days. The restaurant has a local, neighborhood feel to it, which is great. When it's crowded, having a conversation can be challenging. Nonetheless, I'll be back!
We had serious plans to make. We were seated in a relatively quiet area, as requested. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure that a dietary request was fulfilled. Our entrees were delicious.
This is a wonderful local restaurant. They seated us inspite of the fact that OPEN Table, which confirmed our reservation to me did NOT send it to the restaurant. Open TABLE then accused me of being a NO SHOW! Open table has no manners, it is run by snoflakes who are clueless. Don't take their crap. Restaurant is great...
I ordered Seafood Quinoa.
Server inquired immediately after I was served. Told him I hadn't tasted yet to know.
When he came to take plates, he saw substantial amt. left on my plate & asked if I wanted box to take & I said No. he then inquired if something was wrong with it and I said I didn't care for the sauce, it had a strange flavor and quite fishy. He said the chef would definitely want to know this and appreciate the feedback. however he made no effort to compensate on the bill, or offer a complementary drinks or dessert. I left hungry and a little confused since he made such a deal over the feedback for the chef .
Fresh light touch on the pasta (ravioli with sage and tomato sauce) and the sole. Elegantly understated and delicious.
We have eaten at Divinos many times. Always great
Lovely place - great service and great food. A neighborhood gem.
Every time we dine at Divino is fabulous. The waiter assisted with wine pairing based on the food. Cooking is a passion for my wife and I & Divino is the second best restaurant in town...our home is the first.
We were late for are. Reservations and they held are table for us even though they were very busy and people were waiting. Food was awesome. Will definitely go back
Great food, great service & great ambiance!
Ordered was the duck breast. It was cooked perfectly and was very tasty with the balsamic topping. My companions enjoyed their dishes as well. Will be back to try their pasta.
We all enjoyed our meals. The veal scalapini was very good as were the pasta dishes we had. They have a full bar. The service was great!
Another wonderful meal with great service -- one of our favorites!
