The people at Divino are always cheerfully welcoming their diners. Service is attentive. Food is always well prepared and tasty. We return often.
Definitely going on our rotation of great restaurants in the area. Great service with a very friendly staff. Excellent cocktails, and the food was fantastic. We had to wait a bit for it to come out, but it was totally worth it!
I loved this place so much, I'm considered a regular now. All the staff are super nice and the food is always amazing. I especially love the meatballs and the arugula salad.
Some prices high and portions smallish. Food was not served hot,
Divino is the best..From the moment upon entering one is treated with much warmth…The food is divine (no pun intended) and worth driving down 280 from S.F. to enjoy…A must for all to try...
A most enjoyable dining experience and wait staff was fantastic !!!!!
This was an excellent Italian Restaurant. The service was great, food was excellent and well presented. I will definitely encourage friends to come here. I loved that we were not hurried and had time to spend talking with my friend. Great neighborhood restaurant!
Service was friendly and excellent! Food was delicious!
5 of us all loved our food. I especially liked the seafood pasta special for the evening. Our waiter is a great guy who hails from Italy.
Divino never disappoints! We were greeted with warmth and received stellar service from our wait staff. So accommodating to our requests, and the food was GREAT!
Good food, very attentive waiter and reasonable price. Will definitely go back again.
Food was just so so. I have been there in the past and it was much better. Nothing to get excited about. Seems like they lost their motivation to impress.
Great as usual - Divino never disappoints!
We went for Valentine’s Day and were disappointed with the food and service. We had to ask several times for our drinks and eventually they arrived after we finished our salads. That being said, our waiter was very nice and friendly. Perhaps the experience would have been better if we went on a day other than V-Day. We would consider giving them another try.
This place absolutely wins on service (at least, on my visits). I visited Divino twice within a month. A friend originally recommended this place for dinner (first visit) and I had lunch with a colleague (second visit). Both times the food was good, but the bread was outstanding. On the first visit, I had multiple servings of the bread while waiting for my companion. On the first visit, I had the fish as an entree (and too stuffed from the bread to have a starter) and while it was cooked and tasted fine, I'm not a fan of red sauce (yes, I know it's Italian) as it muted the flavor of the fish. On the second visit, I had the veal scallopini and it was well prepared: not overcooked and the lemon caper sauce was wonderful. I passed on dessert both times. Service, however, was quite remarkable. I found both waitpersons, on each visit, friendly, helpful, smiling, accommodating - all the simple things that many restaurants forget these days. The restaurant has a local, neighborhood feel to it, which is great. When it's crowded, having a conversation can be challenging. Nonetheless, I'll be back!
We had serious plans to make. We were seated in a relatively quiet area, as requested. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure that a dietary request was fulfilled. Our entrees were delicious.
This is a wonderful local restaurant. They seated us inspite of the fact that OPEN Table, which confirmed our reservation to me did NOT send it to the restaurant. Open TABLE then accused me of being a NO SHOW! Open table has no manners, it is run by snoflakes who are clueless. Don't take their crap. Restaurant is great...
I ordered Seafood Quinoa.
Server inquired immediately after I was served. Told him I hadn't tasted yet to know.
When he came to take plates, he saw substantial amt. left on my plate & asked if I wanted box to take & I said No. he then inquired if something was wrong with it and I said I didn't care for the sauce, it had a strange flavor and quite fishy. He said the chef would definitely want to know this and appreciate the feedback. however he made no effort to compensate on the bill, or offer a complementary drinks or dessert. I left hungry and a little confused since he made such a deal over the feedback for the chef .
Fresh light touch on the pasta (ravioli with sage and tomato sauce) and the sole. Elegantly understated and delicious.
We have eaten at Divinos many times. Always great
Lovely place - great service and great food. A neighborhood gem.
Every time we dine at Divino is fabulous. The waiter assisted with wine pairing based on the food. Cooking is a passion for my wife and I & Divino is the second best restaurant in town...our home is the first.
We were late for are. Reservations and they held are table for us even though they were very busy and people were waiting. Food was awesome. Will definitely go back
Great food, great service & great ambiance!
Ordered was the duck breast. It was cooked perfectly and was very tasty with the balsamic topping. My companions enjoyed their dishes as well. Will be back to try their pasta.
We all enjoyed our meals. The veal scalapini was very good as were the pasta dishes we had. They have a full bar. The service was great!
Another wonderful meal with great service -- one of our favorites!
Great neighborhood restaurant. Casual ambience & attentive service.
Quality ingredients, properly prepared. The veal was tender and the sauce very reminiscent of a dinner in Milan. Reasonably diverse menu with lots of choices.
The meals are always delicious at Davino’s! We are always greeted with a warm smile and the waiters are considerate and make good recommendations when asked. They also serve GF pasta dishes and change their dishes from time to time. I highly recommend Davino’s for a dinner, date or any special occasion!
My husband and I had a great date night. The service was great and quick. Our food was awesome. We live 2 blocks from, so it will be our go to now.
We were very disappointed at the very bland food, distracted waiter, loud noise and terrible ambiance. The ceaser salad tasted like mayonnaise on bad lettuce, and the recommended specialty, their pork chop, had no flavor. Linguine with clams was the same! Biggest complaint is that there was no seasoning on the food. Way over priced for portion as well.
Four ladies having lunch and the food was delicious. Our server (Danny?) was excellent. All in all a great lunch experience.
The service was nice but the food was unfortunately bland and underwhelming.
We love this place
Great Italian food done by great people. Love it every time we go for dinner. Check it out when in Belmont!!
Excellent - as always! Great food and attentive staff
We were celebrating my wife's birthday. The server did a good job. Nice local restaurant and the food is consistently very good to outstanding
We've been going to Divino for over 10 years and always enjoyed this neighborhood gem. Last night was a terrible disappointment and I doubt we'll return. We had to wait 5 min when we entered to be greeted. Although the bar was bustling with people, somehow there was no one to welcome us, confirm our reservation and seat us. This set the tone for the evening.
Our waiter, Danny, was distracted the entire evening, never checked on us to find out if everything was okay. When asked for bread, he forgot and after 2 reminders finally brought it to the table after 15 minutes but did not replace the olive oil bowl. He took well over 10 min to bring fresh cheese to grate for my pasta dish and again, this was after 2 reminders. By that time, I had already eaten much of it. The Divino salad, always a favorite, but last night it amounted to a bunch of salad greens poured from a bag, drenched in dressing, with a few bites of cheese and pecans on top, it lacked the care of presentation that we'd come to expect from Divino.
We brought 2 bottles of very nice wine, the waiter was judgmental since he'd never heard of either winery and gave us a patronizing look. That was on top of the $20 per bottle corkage fee. We expected a corkage fee, although its not stated on the menu, and were surprised for a restaurant in Belmont, that it was $20 a bottle.
The care and attention to detail we've experienced in the past was missing. The owner or chef usually comes out to our table and asks about our experience and meal, last night no one was in sight. We brought another couple with us to introduce them to Divino and were embarrassed afterward since we had talked it up so much.
Wonderful staff. Great food and service. Like Italy in the neighborhood
