The kitchen was a little swamped therefore we had to wait a bit longer than usual
We had a great time for our party of 5. Our server Victoria, did a great job and was great to all of us, especially the birthday recipient. Food was great would definitely eat there again.
Very nice inside. Burrata w peaches was beautifully served but had no flavor. 3 crushed tiny pieces of walnuts. Not dressed well. Ribs were ok. Fries were good as was the coleslaw. Waitress was over the top. Kept calling us her family, gorgeous girls, etc. needs to dial it back
Great food , no doubt about it . But they took 45 minutes to bring out drinks and the starters never arrive. Overall was good food .
Very nice ambience and delicious food ! Actually ended up coming back the next night for dinner Wonderful wait staff and fantastic menu
The watermelon caprese salad was nasty! It was drown in the balsamic dressing which over powered it. The mac and cheese was just awful. It was so watery. And very lukewarm which was nasty. I wanted to walk back there and show the chef how to make a easy mac and cheese that should be served piping hot. The only think cooked okay was grilled corn.
Awful customer service. I went here with a friend for dinner. It was really quiet; a sprinkling of patrons. We ordered burgers while googling other places for cocktails on our phones since we were meeting another friend later that evening. The waiter demanded payment immediately after ordering and asked us why we were looking for other places to have cocktails on our phones, which made us feel uncomfortable. After he gave us the bill within a few minutes if ordering, I said: we haven't received our food yet, and what if we wanted something else? He said: you have to pay as you go. I've never been treated so poorly. It's a restaurant, the waiter disagreed and told me it was just a bar despite serving food and having multiple empty tables for patrons to eat. I will never return. I regret not taking a picture of the receipt, so I could have the server's name.
Looking for a breakfast place in downtown LA and selected this one without realizing it was connected to a hotel. Food was good, and service was good. Cute place. We would probably love it for a drink, but it was not in any way special for breakfast/Sunday brunch.
District has great food and excellent cocktails. Ambiance was good. Virginia was our server, she took excellent care of us and was really sweet and fun. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner greatly!
We were happy to have supper here after the theatre. Parking was easy and validated Food was creative and delicious.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Great food and nice ambience
This would be considered a hidden gem because of its location. It is in Macy's plaza but tucked in a corner downstairs.
This was a group work lunch. Everyone was impressed by the selection. Both starters (the corn chowder and watermelon caprese) got rave reviews. The main courses were also well liked. I had the brisket which was perfectly cooked. The corn on the cob was great but the coleslaw was very tasteless. Might need to marinated in the dressing longer. But I will definitely be coming back to try other options they have.
Our wait staff was attentive and friendly. DINE LA offered a great price on a carving board lunch special. A delightful surprise.
My wife and I went out to celebrate her birthday with several friends and had a great time! Excellent food and service!
Good service by the staff, it was busy so they could have used a little more help. The food was excellent and reasonable in pricing. Would recommend to others.
It was slow as it was the Fourth of July. Our waiter was excellent. The food was exactly what we wanted, which was a light appetizers and salad. I enjoyed it along with my family and we would eat there again.
I had a business meeting with a vendor - it was my first time sitting in the actual restaurant. Usually I go for happy hour and sit at the bar. The waitress was very personable though a little scattered. They had to give us our check early because they were making an update to their system. They apologized profusely and it was no bother. The food was very good and my vendor said he found a new spot to take his clients.
Best service in town! Our server Virginia was the best!
Poor service (food took forever to arrive), was incorrect when it arrived and wasn’t cooked properly.
I’d heard great things about this place so hopefully my experience was a one off but I unfortunately won’t be returning.
Great service in a fun atmosphere. Food was excellent and the portions were just right.
I didin't know what to expect on my first visit, but our server was full of energy and even made custom dipping sauces for our fries. the Moscow Mules were excellent. Another find in DTLA
I really love the service and the food was amazing. Lovely place to bring friends, family and ever business partners.
We went to District to celebrate my birthday. The staff was very attentive, and the food was wonderful. We had various dishes from the sharing menu and were not disappointed. Their deviled eggs are always tasty, and the mussels were perfect for sharing. We also had handcrafted drinks and enjoyed them. The presentation of the drinks helped to make the occasion special. The desserts we had topped off the meal nicely, and I particularly loved the cheesecake. It was not too noisy in the restaurant, and we were able to have a conversation and easily hear each other. I would choose District again for a place to celebrate an occasion.
District is an excellent option in Downtown LA.
I was there with a friend for Brunch and the service and meals where awesome.
The dining experience was disappointing. The food choices were not broad. Restaurant was quite empty and the server told us it had been even emptier the night before. That should have been a clue to leave, I suppose. Server were friendly but not particularly competent. Overall, too expensive for not very impressive food.
Servers were very unprofessional: did not know a thing about the menu.
Food took forever.
The food was not good.
Never going there again.
We loved the strong medicine, and our waitress made sure we picked all the dishes she thought we would love !
Excellent table service, however the front desk staff appeared tired. The restaurant is dark and the food is so so. Good for business meetings if you don’t need light.
It's a bit difficult to find because the elevator to the basement is non-intuitive, but it is very much worth the search. Food excellent, imaginative, tasty, and the service was superb and friendly.
In the Sheraton Hotel. Downstairs next to a cool bar. Physically attractive. Almost too quiet. Roast beef was very good, so was steak. Branzino was pretty good. Service painfully slow but friendly. Good place to eat before going to Lakers/Clippers game--good 10-12 minute walk. Parking across the street for $6. Might go back but not compelling.
Decent food. Great service. We had brunch and they were very accommodating to our special food requests.
Altho parking is a drag and finding the location was frustrating, it was def worth it. Located underground the Sheraton Hotel by the Macys, public parking across the street. Love the decor. Very Great Gatsby meets speakeasy meets casual/boujie. Cocktails are very good with unique presentation. Happy hour has a great selection of good foods as does the regular menu.
Tried the tacos, fries, brussle bruschetta, salmon, tuna tartar (wish it had chips instead) and bread pudding (not the best). I would rate them great to ok in that exact order too.
Our waiter was super nice super helpful and professional. Would def recommend to friends.
Pretty poor service and basic food. Fine if you wanna have food with kids, but not a grownup get together.
There was only about 3 tables taken and the service left much to be desired. We didn’t get our order taken until 20 minutes for both drinks and food. It took so long we ordered drinks, appetizers, and dinner at the same time. Our drinks didn’t come out for another 15 minutes. Our server checked on us maybe once. The tuna tartare didn’t taste fresh one bit either. I was hoping for a great dinner and was left feeling quite deflated... not a very good experience and won’t be coming back...
Elegant but casual feel. Menu includes comfort foods as well as great salads; something for any diet. Good bar and cocktail menu. Several local craft beers on tap. My friend tried the Vietnamese French Dip with side salad and I had the Kale Cobb. Both were fantastic. Also ordered the Grilled Asparagus for appetizer; excellent too. Looking forward to the ribs on my next visit. Service was great. Bar looks very inviting for happy hour; would be a great place to meet friends. Highly recommend.
Disappointed in the servers’ lack of knowledge about the menu and drinks. Management clearly doesn’t have effective pre-open meetings to ensure the servers know the daily cocktail and what’s in it or how some of the menu items are prepared. The entry door is a hazard, won’t open and staff just watches you struggle with it rather than helping, to the point where you leave thinking there must be another entrance. Never saw a manager walk the floor in the two hours we were there. It’s these things that start to tank a restaurant. Good luck! The food was good.
Super convenient to ride the metro from West Los Angeles. Wonderful food and good beer selection. A nice place to go before the concert at the Microsoft theater.
The reviews I saw seemed good. But the reality did not deliver. The service was good and prices weren't bad. But, the restaurant smelled smoky, like fire. The wine list by the glass was limited and mediocre. Both the taco appetizer and the broccolini bruschetta appetizer were disappointing. The mushroom ravioli sounded delicious and was good but was dry with almost no sauce. The cheesecake I was told was New York cheesecake but was not. Overall the food was a dud and I don't recommend going or returning.
Great cocktails, the food was really exciting and Virginia (our server) was outstanding and really an ambassador for the customer service, the restaurant and the food and drinks they serve. We’ll certainly go back.
