Some how Open Table has me down for 7:30 but I made my reservation and had a confirmation for 8:30. They were able to accommodate me. Very nice of them to fit me in.
We had a wonderful experience overall. This was a client entertainment dinner and they each raved about the food. Thank you for an absolutely fantastic evening!!
The food was great, and the atmosphere perfect for my meeting.
Unfortunately, you were having a bad night with waitstaff, kitchen or management. Our dinners did not arrive simultaneously; we waited an unnecessarily long time for our entrees; the staff appeared stressed and rushed. Someone did come to our table, listened to our concerns and part of our meal was comped, but the evening left a bad taste in our mouth regarding whether we would return. Our regrets....
Food was very good as was the service. Waitress was upbeat and worked well with the full staff. Great access to the Herberger following dinner.
This was probably the worst meal I've had in recent memory. My chicken fried meatloaf was tasteless and presumably originally frozen. The vegetables were very salty. I couldn't bring myself to finish the meal. Service was okay. The DJ's music with the continuous backbeat for every song was distracting--and a bit hokey.
This restaurant has a lovely ambiance. The live music was fantastic. The calamari was very good, but over-salted. My simple green salad with balsamic vinaigrette for $6 was outstanding. But my husband’s $48 steak was terrible and my special (southwest chicken with potatoes, corn, and beans) was unappetizing. Although service was outstanding (thank you, Holly), the food overall was not good so we will not be returning.
Went for Easter Buffet Brunch. Food was average, but there was nothing special. It was just okay, but the real surprise was when the bill added an automatic 20% gratuity. If this had been a table of 6 or more, or, if there had been a full service menu with service, that would make better sense for a full 20%! However, it was a BUFFET. Waiter only cleared dishes and refilled drinks. No actual food SERVICE. On top of that there were only two people at our table, and online information had said nothing about mandatory 20%, (after tax), which was another $20 to bill. For what we spent we could have gone to a much more expensive BUFFET, and still left a nice Buffet tip for two people. We will not go back!
Easter Brunch! Excellent quality, wide variety, the desert / pastry bar was amazing! So stuffed 😎
Great Sunday Brunch for Easter! Mac-n-Cheese station was really good this year.
Delightful meal. Everyone enjoyed their meals--we ordered the $22.00 options and they were all delicious
the calamari was a winner!!!
fast service.
desserts were great.
Meghan waitress was spectacular!
This place could be great, IF ONLY the menu offered some straightforward food. But, everything came drenched in colossal quantities of sugar, sweet fruits, fats, and jumped-up spices. Would have loved just a nice chop or bit of seafood with a simple starch and some colorful veggies -- but the salmon (for example) sat on a risotto that must have contained a small tub of cream and a whole stick of butter. Tasty, yes -- but really not anywhere close to being the sort of normal food from which you could actually make an edible meal...
My service was blah. My son requested we come for his 8th birthday. My server was uptight and disengaged. however he was very engaged and complementary with his other tables around me. When I asked questions the server was condescending and argumentative. This visit was very a offputting experience.
We had a very nice lunch. Excellent lunch menu and prices. Food was delicious and service was great.
Very mediocre. The pork was dry and lacked flavor. The drinks were ok. The calamari and dessert were ok. I wouldn’t return
Our waiter couldn't have given less of a crap about us.
Great food at very affordable prices
Drinks took a long time to come out and we were just having wine. The food, while imaginative wasn’t as great tasting as it looked. My dish was just lukewarm. The server should have asked what temperature to cook the duck to. One member of our party was quite pleased with her meal but some others thought that their meal was not seasoned properly. Due to it’s location and the dearth of restaurants in the area, it is a good place if you are going to the theater or symphony.
Had good dining experience. Located close to the theater we were going to and took an early reservation, so worked out well.
Nothing special. Wait service was slow to non-existent. Drinks took forever to arrive. Staff did not offer their signature cotton candy. Outdoor weather was nice, but homeless people were dealing on the sidewalk near the patio. Can’t recommend...
Perfect experience
Don’t let the fact that District is in a hotel deter you. Excellent all the way around. Four of us had four different entrees and were wowed. Desserts were excellent as well.
Our girls group of 7 shared a bite here pre concert at the nearby arena. Food was tasty, quickly served and value was good. We had a nice round table not in the middle of everything which was also nice. Server was great and patient with some of our very selective and high maintenance dining companions. Kitchen successfully executed on all special requests.
Found it to be "just okay". Good drinks, great friendly service, good atmosphere and while the menu looked awesome, both my wife and I we're just a bit underwelmed with the flavors. May give it one more chance.
Excellent food and service. The waitress was helpful with recommending items on the menu. The food also came out quickly and the portions were perfect.
came at 11:30 on a Sunday when there was supposed to be only a lunch menu. But the chef was so generous to us He made its eggs! We were so grateful. Our server Anaberta is outstanding
We were downtown for an event and chose to try District American Kitchen for dinner beforehand since it was fairly close to the venue. It is located as part of the downtown Sheraton and so parking is available at the hotel. We were directed to valet parking, but I thought self parking would be quicker if we were pressed for time to get to our event. I was very likely mistaken, because the garage under the hotel turned out to be nightmarish.
Due to our parking struggles, we were a few minutes late for our reservation. No worries, as we were seated promptly on arrival. Water was poured and fresh rolls brought to the table. Service was a little slow from that point forward, and at least our waiter was apologetic.
We ordered drinks and the pretzel appetizer, which was very good. My companion then had a salad that was not particularly extraordinary and I tried the chicken-fried meatloaf. The menu seemed innovative and the presentation was well done, but the food seemed middle-of-the-road, flavor-wise. Prices seemed very reasonable and the portions were more than adequate.
Ambiance was above average and the large dining space was well decorated. The chairs at our dining table were a little wobbly and could use some tightening.
All things considered, a very good if not great dining experience. I can recommend this restaurant for its location and a reasonably good meal at a fair price.
The food and service were excellent. However, the restaurant layout is very hotel lobby like so one side of the table is along a long bench seat with tables quite close together. It made it difficult to have a private conversation.
The food was very good, and the location as well. The liquor and wine selection as well. Our server was indifferent at best - cheerful, but neglectful. I would hope it is not ageism (23 are in our late 60's - but that's what it felt like. A feature seems to be delivering a huge cone of cotton candy at the time the check is delivered. We were not interested, and had told our server so; no one seemed to be eating it around us, either.
In dwntwn very close to the concert we were attending- would not have thought to go to a restaurant in a hotel but very glad the 4 of us did- valet parking that they stamp so worth the ride if even not for a concert. interesting diverse menu and nice wine by glass - glad I read the reviews and write ups. Nice use of space and the staff was very professional and attentive- food was delicious! Try it! Also the bar was active and they had music- nice touch!
Good menu and great service. Good selection of appetizers, entrees and deserts. All members of our party enjoyes thier meals.
I would definetley go back.
A plus ecperience
Just a fun buzzy place with simple unpretentious food & wine. Great service too. We’re going back!
Located in the Sheraton Grand Phoenix It was so convenient to dine there. I was in town for a conference and decided to have dinner there with a friend, I have been a member of Open Table for several years and their reviews have never disappointed. Excellent meal and attention from the waitstaff. When in Phoenix I will definitely dine there again.
Great food. Super slow service
District has excellent food in a quiet setting. The wait staff always is efficient. District is one of my "go to" venues for before a theater or concert event at the Symphony Hall.
Outstanding service from our server, food was very good. The live music was entertaining as well.
A nice place. The quantity of food is huge and too much to eat at one meal.
Would not recommendation. Nothing spectacular or mediocre.
