Very loud. Food was good, but not great. Service was average and food took a very long time to come out during dinner rush. Not good enough to go back.

District never lets us down when we head downtown for an event. The quinoa salmon bowl was a nice healthy option tho we had requested medium rare and got medium. All five were happy with their choices and you can’t beat the $9.00 lunch special for everything! Perfect round table at the window.

I have always been pleased with The District. It is a beautiful setting in a convenient location with validated parking. The service people are always polite and attentive. I like that it's menu is unique and suitable for healthy eaters or comfort-food people like myself. It also has a good wine and beer list. In an era of noisy casual dining restaurants, it is nice to sit in a quiet, intimate environment where you can actually hear the people you are dining with!

One of the more expensive "meh" meals I've had. Everything about it was mediocre. Flavor pairings were bad. No menu to pick from on New Year's Eve?! Best I can say is that the place didn't smell bad.

The District is a downtown favorite, not because it has outstanding food, but because it is convenient for events like the Phoenix Symphony, Herberger Theater events, and shows at the Orpheum. They have a good beer, wine, and specialty cocktails list, and often do Prix Fixe menu for holidays and event nights, with very limited selections, so be sure you know what they are serving before you go. Price is relatively expensive for the modest quality of the food & pairings, but I've never walked away hungry or highly disappointed, though not a gastronome's dream, either! We will go back - we always do, and generally have a great time prepping for a show or performance. It's convenient as part of the Sheraton Hotel and their valet parking is also handy for the shows - with a few hours free if you have dinner. Go! Enjoy.

My husband and I came for an early dinner before a show downtown. We had a reservation but made it in earlier than expected and they accommodated us. The food was amazing! I had the Chef’s special which was salmon and broccoli. Craveable! My husband had the chicken and biscuits. He’s still talking about it. Delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly. It was a great experience. We’ll be back and looking forward to bringing friends.

We were visiting Phoenix over Christmas and wanted to make sure we had a place to eat Christmas Day when we booked it we looked at the menu and it looked delicious. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was only a fixed price menu offered to us which wasn't showing on open table. We were going to leave and asked if there was any way to get any other food as we hadn't intended to eat on a menu like they offered, didn't want to spend that much and didn't quite like all of their offerings. The manager said he could do a vegetarian option for one of our party and chicken, vegetables and mashed potatoes for the kids. The food ended up being delicious, but the vegetarian meal and the kids meals came out when our appetizers came out so they had to eat earlier than us and we're finished early. Also, when we left, we saw that on the bar side they were serving other types of food so that we could have ordered different things, but that was not explained to us. We were also charged quite a bit for the very small portions they gave the kids. Although the food that we had was generally good, I wouldn't go back because of the poor customer service.

Christmas Day special dinner was outstanding. Excellent menu choices and deliciously prepared. The "dome" red velvet cake dessert was a work of art and outstanding to eat! Service was excellent. One of our guests has some dietary needs and the staff and management (Debbie-server and Steven- manager) were so accommodating and helpful in making her experience and the rest of our party a fabulous event.. Top notch service all around. Next Christmas, skip all those crowded and over-priced buffets...head for the District Restaurant downtown instead for outstanding food and a lovely elegant setting.

This restaurant is our go-to dinner place when we attend the Symphony and this experience just solidified our commitment to this restaurant. A+ experience! Thank you.

Server was notably ghost- waited very long for drinks. I saw a busboy and asked if he could bring the server by, but she didn't return until the entree was served.

The host Paul was excellent.

Food was finebut the atmosphere was terrible. The restaurant was almost empty (a Monday evening at 8:00) but the service was erratic and slow. Sat without service for too long then had overly chatty attention. Couldn't wait to leave and it cost far too much for such an unsatisfactory experience.

Overall I was a little disappointed. Food was lukewarm when it came out, but tasted good. Turkey, Mashed Potatoes and stuffing were all good, Presentation on the marshmallow yams was not great but they tasted okay. The green bean casserole was runny and tasted just plain lousy. I have dined at this restaurant before and had good experiences. This one was a bit disappointing

Their Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. Generous serving of roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and a side salad with a wonderful green tea and cider vinegrette. Dessert was a pumpkin maple torte. A really nice dinner away from home, with a very friendly and attentive wait staff.

The service and food were disappointing this time. We have been to the restaurant several other holidays over the past two years. This year was less than expected mainly due to the service and the food was not as good.

We went for their Thanksgiving meal. Service was very good, as was the food. My only complaint, and it is a pet peeve of mine, is that we were in the middle of eating our salads when they brought out the entrees. We felt very rushed. I observed they did this to other tables too.

The food was great. I enjoyed everything. However, our service was pretty crappy. We felt completely invisible. Ran out of water and other drinks with no one coming back. They were aware we had somewhere to be but it was like they went in one ear and out the other.

Service at a restaurant flavors the entire meal. Any food will always be tainted if the accompanying wait staff is not up to the task and that was the case last night. To be fair, there were several events in the area, but the special event menu that was presented suggests that the restaurant was fully aware of that situation. But they didn't seem to be prepared. Edward was trying but not capable of pleasing everyone. The time between orders snd drinks and appetizers and entrees was constantly extreme. The forgotten glass if wine was sort of expected. The dirty dishes waiting to be cleared during those really long intermissions was disappointing. Was the food good? Probably, but the service was our only discussion as we departed.

The staff was VERY nice. Too much time to get our initial beverages. I think our server was over worked by larger party she had to serve as well. Bread was simple rolls but the butter was great. Food was good. We had a chair and booth combo. I'm 6'3" and sat in the chair and felt low to the table.

This us our go-to restaurant prior to taking in a performance at symphony hall. There's always plenty of early seating and the menu never disappoints. This latest visit included the bacon wrapped, stuffed dates as the appetizer which were uniquely delicious. My wife had the salmon which was done perfectly and the accompanying risotto was perfectly creamy. I had the recently added pork loin which was also perfectly cooked. It had a red pepper coating which tasted great but I found the pepper pieces to be too large resulting in a burst of pepper flavor that overwhelmed the pork. Also, the walnuts that accompanied the baked apples were full halves and there weren't enough to go with each apple bite. I love apples and walnuts and want them to mingle together. Surprisingly, the executive chef came by to say hi and ask about our meals. I mentioned my nick picky issues and he genuinely listened and appreciated the honesty. The gratis pecan tart was wonderful, as was the ordered apple and gingersnap cheese cake. We'll obviously be back.

Great food, but shockingly poor service and it was a birthday celebration with my wife. Waited 12 minutes before waiter even approached, another 13 to get our drinks and then only saw him once throughout the meal.

Did not get the standard cotton candy with our check even! Horrible experience for our first time going here. With plenty of other good venues in Phoenix I recommend trying other places.
