The lettuce had started turning brown thst was used on the crab cake. Lettuce was the side salad a better side could be chosen for the side. The package they put together did not have a $40 value.

We went during downtown dining week, it was a good deal and the food was great. Everyone was really friendly.

The music was a little loud since we were seated in back right next to the musician and I was hoping for outdoor dining. But, the manager who was checking in on tables was really great and the food was good.

This place was not good, and the photos were a bit deceiving. Was looking for an upscale romantic date spot but instead it had a definite chain restaurant/chilis vibe. The cocktails were so sweet and the food was really not great (and plates were SO small)

I know this can be better. I could tell by the Argentinian Steak that this could be better. The chicken and waffles were good too. But my Martini. There was something off about it. Initially I blamed the chimichurri from my steak, so I didn't send it back. Then I thought It may have been the olives. Then I decided it wasn't worth the hassle, but made a mental note that if it happens the next time I visit (yes I will return) I'll say something. We were also disappointed that they were out of the two desserts we wanted to try.

The zucchini fritters with salmon we're excellent,as was the cheese tray. I enjoyed a wonderful bourbon old fashion but there were several craft cocktails on the menu. We had an excellent attentive server too.

The food was portioned appropriately for small plates and the variety was great but each item we ordered out of 6 were salty. The drinks were good but if you asked for anything not on the menu (we tried to order a lemon martini) the staff responded they did not know how to make it.

I t was not very crowded as it was a foggy cold evening which made the great service understandable. They have a friendly knowledgeable staff and an interesting varied menu. The prices were very reasonable and overall was a good value.

Brad (manager) and his team were very accommodating and provided some great service and food. Don't leave without trying the Argentinean steak or the poutine - both outstanding.

Very surprised by the menu! Not your typical whiskey bar food! Well thought of seasonal menu and the plates are perfect size tapas items. Very tasty! Try the kimchi Arancini and steak salad. Servers are very pleasant and friendly.

The ambiance is cozy and our server was great. Thank you! Cheese and meat plates were well done with interesting choices. And their burgers are always good. My husband ordered the Chicken and Waffle, though, and wasn't as thrilled. First, the chicken and waffle were a bit overcooked. Chicken especially kind of dry. And he had hoped for a traditional maple syrup, but was instead given a bourbon honey butter sauce. "Too fancy" is his thought. Drink menu is huge, especially with the bourbons. But we thought our glasses of wine were on the skimpier side. Hmmm. Still enjoy going here overall once in a while.

We were there right when they opened so it was not busy. The drink menu was very large with a lot of interesting drinks. Our drinks took a while to come and one person in our group didn't like his, they replaced it. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious! I'm looking forward to another visit.

The service was slow and unprofessional. On top of that my reservation was not confirmed and I received an email from you guys the next day asking why I was a no-show. That issue has since been cleared up. Bottom line… I would go there for an after work drink but definitely not a date and definitely not dinner.

Awesome place, amazing staff! Very chattable and attractive and fun. Beautiful decor! Decent food- just turn the heat up, literally; it was freezing cold in there.

First, service was fantastic. Attentive but not overbearing. Secondly, as a bourbon fanatic, I was overwhelmed by their selection. They have most of the usual ones but also a few rarer bottles that I was happy to try. Ask for a tasting! Even a full drink is so affordable, you can't miss.

We were there for downtown dining as we had not been to Distil and wanted to try it. Their menu featured a crispy black cod which immediately caught my eye as I have not seen black cod on a menu before. Our whole experience from specialty cocktails at the bar and all 3 courses of the meal were exceptional, of the highest quality, and absolutely scrumptious! It is not often that I so thoroughly enjoy a dining experience. My cousin and I will be back for cocktails and/or dinner soon!

First: like many of the venues, there is no parking. forget about it and use the valet, nice option $10 including tip. Second. it is very dark inside. no windows, no natural lite. Dark, strong wood décor. A major problem if you are 5ft 5 and under is that your feet will not touch the rails for the tall seats! worked for me, but my friend had to dangle her legs, then keep shifting as she could not touch the rails. these are TALL chairs! Service was the highlight . the first 2 whiskeys I selected they didn't have but were listed (might want to update your menu!). Our server was professional and paid enough but not too much attention to us. Our food was served hot and timely. while we didn't "feel" rushed, we were in and out in just over an hour. the bread salad (featured) was dry. the black cod was delicious and the filet tender but only good. Deserts were creative and good. Neither appealed to me (allergic to one) so I just gave it to my friend who said they were good. all in all, a satisfying meal with a great bar. Not sure I would return for the food, but the bartender was fantastic and makes a great French 75 and of course, plenty of other distilled spirits available!

It is very hard to rate this restaurant because it had a special Downtown Dinning menu which did not include any of the food normally served. That said the special food was excellent. I had a beef filet I could cut with my bread knife. Soup and dessert excellent. So if qualify of special menu is an indication then I am assuming normal food is fresh and well prepared. The place is really all about cocktails and burbon which you might assume from the title. On a regular evening the menu is basically small plates with only the hamburger as a full sized meal. Seems it is designed to compliment the drinking experience which is fine but probably not the place I would choose if just looking for a good dinner. Also it appeared all the tables with high tops. Even the booth we chose required a step up and at 5'3" my feet were dangling. Staff was terrific. So I would go back for the unique drinks and perhaps sit at the bar to watch the mixology and maybe get a small plate to compliment my drink in the future.

Service was rushed and slow all in the same visit. Utensils came late. Getting cocktails were slow. Middle of the meal was rushed. Bill took forever to come. It was downtown dining and choices were good. Really mixed bag.
