Fabulous! A fine dining experience, everything we had was wonderful. Definitely will go back!
Outstanding service and food. Small menu but everything was delicious. Highly recommend for something different in Palm Springs.
Everything was excellent!
This restaurant is a delicious surprise. Already planning my next visit with my foodie friends. Great food and great service!
We came and ate tapas at the bar with this visit. Great service from the very attentive bar tender working the whole bar area. He puts on a great show mixing/shaking drinks, too. Professional service, without interrupting our table. The food is very creative and delicious. Creative cuisine for sure and the tapas menu in the bar is a great value if you are interested in something more casual than Dish's fantastic main menu.
Fabulous dining experience for two or a large party. The chef is brilliant and visits your table to check in about your meals. The wait staff is very attentive; we never had to ask for anything. My favorite are the "amuse bouches" served constantly throughout the meal. Not only are they delicious with incredibly interesting combinations of flavors, they are also magnificently presented! This is a must when you are in Palm Springs!
Wonderful dining experience...visit from the chef and personal attention...its always fun
Excellent food, ambience, and service! Just wonderful!
I booked this place based on feedback from others. I walked in and did not know what to expect. Right away I was blown away by the wait staff and servers. On top of it right away. Very knowledgeable and professional. Everyone pitches in and helps and so the service is great. The food and service exceeded our expectations and we loved it. A little hidden gem.
Second visit just as fabulous as the first time. Service, food, everything.
What a wonderful experience!
The cuisine was; delicious, creative, beautiful and abundant! So very good!
The staff was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The chef is clearly very talented!
Can't wait to go back!
Creative cuisine, excellent flavors, and friendly staff make Dish a must visit, fine dining restaurant in Palm Springs. I had the miso black cod, which immediately transported me back to Tokyo! The multiple amuse-bouche throughout the meal, including a visit by the chef, made the evening even more amazing.
The Chef came and ask us how everything was, also all the extra little bits are really good.
All I can say is, ....AWESOME!!, from the food to the service!!! I eat out almost every night, so I am really picky, and not easly impressed, thus I hardly ever right a review, but this restaurant and it's chef are, ...well, ....AWESOME!!
This is a restaurant whose chef strives to serve a creative and interesting cuisine. The art of the food preparation is perhaps best experienced with the "amuse bouche" that are served (perhaps even to an excessive degree). In the end, it is taste that is paramount, and the scallops and lamb chops we were served were the best we ever tasted. The service was warm and friendly and the room has the potential for a romantic ambiance.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Great food and amazing service.
As always, dinner was exceptional. The amuse-bouches are a crowd pleaser, and always delectable. The Chef introduced herself, first time I've met her. She is passionate about food, and delights in these creative teasers.
My friends were duly impressed and our main meal was spectacular. I had the pork, which was moist and tasty.
I shall return. This was my 4th visit in the restaurant, I don't count all the Taco visits at the bar.
Wonderful creative menu.
I visit Dish every time I come to PS and I come from New Zealand!
Very good service if a little pretentious at times.
The personal touch of the owner/chef visiting each table at least one during the dinner service is memorable and delivered in a charming, unobtrusive way.
The complimentary tastings before and between the courses are a lovely extravagant treat.
The chefs creativity and food is amazing. The restaurant offers little tasting bites as part of the experience to compliment the mains you order. Service was great and a really fun bar atmosphere to enjoy an after dinner drink!
Went there recently and had their Restaurant Week prix fixe menu. The food was inventive and expertly prepared and our server, Chris, was attentive and helpful in explaining the restaurant's approach to dining. He was also helpful in our choice of a wine, bringing out a sample of the two for which we had questions. The surprise for us was the amuse-bouches served at the beginning and between every course; they were served with a full explanation and description by each of the presenters. The wine list is a rather limited in size but wide-ranging in scope -- a refreshing alternative to the oft-times "encyclopedia wine list" of many restaurants.
Exceptionally good dining experience. Our server, Chris, was knowledgeable & did a great job of explaining the multiple amuse bouches that accompany the meal. The food is fresh & creative. I had the compressed watermelon salad (amazing) & the monkfish in lemongrass broth (outstanding). The real treat are the beautiful & delicious little treats that are crafted by the talented chef. Highly recommend for foodies - don't miss an opportunity to dine at dish.
Returned to Dish for Greater Palm Springs Restaurant week and loved every minute of it. The foot is always spectacular with such much attention to detail. Cauliflower risotto was out of this world amazing, the butterfish was life changing, and for dessert a chocolate and peanut butter crunch bar was perfect. My husband had the compressed watermelon salad with balsamic pearls, butterfish, and a fruit tart for dessert. One of our favorite parts of the meals would be the Mule Vodka based cocktails. The presentation, taste, and entertainment value of the cocktails completely justifies the price in my opinion. Chris was an excellent waiter providing plenty of detail and recommendations for our experience!
We enjoyed a delicious meal and attentive service from Spencer. We enjoy the Thursday evening burger special too. We support the presence of Dish on the north end of Palm Canyon Drive.
Have never been disappointed with dinner at dish! Always a wonderful adventure in eating
Great food and service. Love the extras between courses!
The food was good, but uninspired. If you judge in by comparable places in Palm Springs, it was better than average; however, if you compare to good restaurants in major cities it fared much more poorly. Dish specializes in the "amuse bouche." and you will recieve several of them. We found them to be clumsy and uninteresting. They need to up their game.
Rarely do I fill this part out. First off, we are served a savory donut. There is an army of people ready to see to your every need. There is an "amuse-bouche" between everything. Every time you turn around, a special bite arrives to get your mouth watering! I ordered the Monk fish. First of all, it's seasonal and rarely on anybody's menu! It's know as "the poor man's lobster", and it did not disappoint!
The Chef/Owner came out after we were seated, and again before we left, talk about classy.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a special and unique experience.
This place is not cheap, but worth every penny.
The PALM SPRINGS MULE cocktail was like an experiment from Chemistry lab; two flasks of fluids poured over a glass of dried ice bubbling and changing color as the ingredients were combined at the table. The food was a gastronomic delight with an artistic presentation. The service was personable and professional. The chef was warm and welcoming. One of my finest and most memorable desert dining experiences.
This was our first visit and it will not be our last. We went during Restaurant Week in Palm Springs and had a 3 course $49 price fix meal. The four of us each had a different entree and they were all very good and prepared properly. The service and the amount of staff waiting on you was very good. With concrete walls and tiled floor it is not the most quiet restaurant, but it was OK with me and my hearing aids. The tables could be a larger size. The wine list was decent and not too high priced, but we brought our own and paid the $25 corkage. The real treat here is that they brought out 7 different "bites" of little appetizers at different times and at no extra charge. That was a lot of fun and not expected. We will be baaaack!
Fantastic place to eat. Top rated food - Chef Joann outdid herself. The amuse bouche courses were outstanding and kept coming, a real taste experience. My appetizer, the compressed watermelon salad had to be the best salad I have ever had. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.
