Saw this restaurant online as a dining spot near our hotel. The menu and photos drew my attention. We were not disappointed! The food, service and ambiance will bring us here again when we get back to the area.

Grandson attends St. Vincents in Latrobe and it was his 19th birthday. A friend recommended DiSalvos as a good location for an upscale meal. He was correct.

Meal was very good, portions were actually too big. Each of us went home with enough for another meal, or in my case, two!

Grandson was impressed and took pictures to give to a friend at school whose fiancé is coming to town shortly.

Very nice.

We gathered for an after event business and casual evening. The food was great! The service excellent. The ambiance for an out of town guest showed the lovely spirit of Latrobe!

Atmosphere was great - an old converted train station restored in great fashion. The food was also great. Waitress service was a bit rough -- nice person but a bit unorganized when it came to the bill. However, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our waitress, Christina was awesome! Food was great! The Chef even helped my parents with their special diet. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints!

4 couples had early dinner after summer theatre on 7/16/17 at Saint Vincent College. There weren't many people there on a Sunday late afternoon which was great! The menu is always tasty-chicken saltimbocca is my favorite; chicken gaetano was a favorite, and veal marsala. Desserts are all wonderful, and we ordered bread pudding. Check their menu. Always great! Lovely conversation in a quiet location. And our server gave us a tour of The Station. One of our favorite restaurants!

Service was fantastic. Ambiance is classic
Cigar bar downstairs is like a man cave that my wife would approve of. Food was delicious. Wine list is very good and recommendation by server was perfect for our meals.
Joey D is a class person
I highly recommend this establishment

We were looking forward to DiSalvo's after reading reviews but were more than ready to leave after we got our check. First, the air-conditioning was not working properly - which we completely understand can happen but the lack of thought and management regarding this was a huge issue. Our waitress informed us, after sitting and ordering, that the AC was out in the main dining hall (which is where everyone was seated). For a venue with multiple dining areas, why would they not move the patrons into a different area? That seems like a basic management decision for the comfort of your diners. We first thought it may have just happened and they didn't have time to react but we then learned that this was the 3rd day the AC had been out. As much as I enjoyed sweating through my dinner (which the waitress did comment on ... twice), to know that other parts of the venue did have proper temperature control was frustrating. On top of this, nobody ever actually apologized for the discomfort rather commented that it was very warm. At minimum, an actually apology would have helped.

After this, the food was very average for a nice Italian restaurant. For one, the chicken marsala tasted more like a soy sauce base then marsala. Overall, the taste was nothing special and the salads were by far the best portion of the meal. The waitress was polite and very nice, though again I would think that they would work with their management to seat customers in an area that was more comfortable. The venue is very interesting, especially the back area but its not worth the cost for average food just because it's a neat old building.

Christina! Christina has been serving tables for many years. It's her life! We were so pleased to enjoy her service. She obviously enjoys what she does and takes great pride in it. Food was very good. Drinks and meal pricings make it a worthwhile destination.

Cigars? This is the place you need to visit. There's nothing else in the region like it.

Old train station atmosphere is special. However, food was below average and definitely overpriced. Food at Mother's Day buffet and service were way below quality level that I expected based on reviews here. Definitely disappointed.

The food was very good, however we didn't like where they seated us. We were in early and they sat us at the table everyone walks past coming in, and there were MANY tables open. We felt like we were disconnected to the Restruant ..out in left field. Which didnt make it very personable or cozy. Also the Restruant was VERY COLD, which made it hard to enjoy the meal.

We love everything about DiSalvo's.....its also a WONDERFUL venue for weddings....very unique,
and they treat you like family, so YOUR special event is special to THEM. Mike the manager, sees
to every detail, whether its Easter Sunday Brunch, as was this occasion, or your wedding reception, which is where my daughter and son-in-law had theirs....
DiSalvo's has great atmosphere, great service, and fabulous food!

I can't say enough good things about our experience. The food was top-notch! The serving size was more than enough at decent prices. Our server Kristie was amazing. Not one time did my glass go empty yet I didn't feel like she over visited our table to check on us. We were left to enjoy our meal, savor the moment, and still very well taken care of. I felt as though we were treated like the only guests in the restaurant. The only complaint I would have is the espresso machine was not working the night we dined and the entrance to the restaurant we walked right through some sort of party/reception. Which is sort of an odd set-up. I can say we were awe struck with the history and decor, especially the cigar bar. After dinner we visited the cigar bar for an after dinner drink, cigar, and relaxed watching the hockey game. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Great job Disalvo's! We will be back!

What a lovely place to celebrate my birthday! We found this restaurant on the recommendation of friends, and we loved it. The ambiance was excellent, the service staff, (Sarah), was friendly and informative of the menu, and the food was fabulous! We had appetizers, meals and drinks, and the food was exceptional. The portions were generous, and the price was expected for the quality. We will definitely be going back soon, and bringing family with us!!!

We were fortunate that our granddaughter purchased a gift card as a present. We had not visited this restaurant in over 20+ years, but boy were we ever glad that we were given the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful dinner! My husband can't stop talking about how great the lamb chops were. You can be sure we will be returning soon for another fine dining treat.

Limited wine menu. My wife was served a white wine in a wet wine glass. Very classless. We were told that they chill their white wine glasses. But serving it wet?? Stupid! They did however replace it with a dry glass upon request. Everything else was great.

This restaurant has a cigar bar downstairs and the smell from the smoke does make it's way to the restaurant where you eat. The bruschetta appetizer is huge! The menu is big and the food is pretty good. The fact that their location is in an old train station is what brought us there as we were looking for a nice ambiance. There was a room set up for a rehearsal dinner and that looked really nice. Overall, the dinner for four was just over $200 not counting tip. Overall, it was an ok dinner experience, probably will not be going back.

DiSalvo Station Restaurant is an excellent dining experience and is worth the drive to Latrobe. The quality of food is outstanding and the prices are reasonable for the quality. With the restaurant being a former train station, the atmosphere is unique, welcoming and warm. Again, the dining is experience is wonderful.

Our food and service experience while at the restaurant is excellent.

The food is just as good if you attend one of the Sunday or holiday buffets.

Its been my experience that when you call for a reservation # update or have a question, be prepared to either not get answered, or hung up on. There is also been a couple of experiences where i felt like whoever I spoke to on the phone was disengaged....

I would still go back, as the foods and service has always been consistently exceppent

My server argued with me about my drink order. I ordered an old fashioned. The server brought over a form of manhattan and when I asked her to remake it she told me that I didn't know what an old fashioned was. I'm pretty sure if I drink them all the time I know that they do not contain vermouth. I would not recommend this place they are unattentive to tables as well. My server only had 2 tables while we were there and she was not very timely.

We are retired wedding photographers and photographed many weddings at DiSalvo's Station Restaurant. All of our professional experiences here where very memorable and went off without a hitch. The Bridal party always seemed very happy through out the evening, which made our job, as photographers, very pleasant.
We decided to try DiSalvo's Station Restaurant for a special dinner on our 49th anniversary. The smiling young lady, can't remember her name, greeted us and showed us to our table. She turned out to also be our waitress for the evening. She knew the specials off by heart and even made a few suggestions. We have been to many upscale restaurants in the Pittsburgh area and have been disappointed at quite a few to say the least. DiSalvo's Station Restaurant, for us was a very pleasant surprise. The meal through all the courses was five Star and very creative! Our Compliments to the Chef!
Great atmosphere, Superior service, Attention to detail, Delicious meal and, Surprise, The prices where more than reasonable.
We so look forward to returning to DiSalvo's Station Restaurant, Our little secret in Latrobe, PA. Believe me, stopping in once a month or so won't break your budget.
Thanks again for making our 49th memorable.

The food and the uniqueness of the train station were good. The wine list was very limited, and the server was unfamiliar with the wine list. Server and bartender were extremely helpful and courteous. Disappointing that we saw what appeared to be a manager (male, slick back hair, suit) yelling at both employees more than once throughout the evening. The restaurant has many beautiful features so we took the opportunity to enjoy our visit by walking around with wine before sitting for dinner. The chicken saltimbocca and the fettuccine with salmon were perfect and the portions are large. We did not have a chance to provide feedback to the manager.

Overall, it was a good experience for my wife and I. The food was very good and portion size was significant. The ambience there was charming and extremely unique. The only complaint was the somewhat slow service and the price of drinks. One regret I have was not checking out the cigar bar located downstairs. Give it a whirl, you won't regret it.
