It was a good place but I would just go for drinks and apps. The entrees weren’t anything special.
Amazing place with delicious food. Perfect for group dinning, food sharing and loved the bowl cocktails!
We had to request a waiter when no one approached our table. The crab in the dumplings was not fresh. The other plates were okay. The challah was very good.
Went to Dirty Habit for drinks. One of us ordered an old fashioned and didn’t recognize the drink. Other ordered a martini and sent it back because it was too heavy on vermouth. On another occasion I ordered a Black Russian and was served something with coke in it. Sent it back. Dirty Hanit doesn’t specialize in classic drinks. More of a hang out for young people.
Great ambiance with low lighting for an unofficial tapas style dinner with drinks. Patio is a really nice hidden gem. Service is great and prices are decent as well.
The food is definitely underwhelming. From taste to portion size and in comparison to price, just not worth it. Drinks and ambiance are great, better for happy hour or quick get together
Great place for meeting a friend and having small bites.
I found this place online and decided to go here for my friends bachelorette party based on other reviews. The ambiance of the restaurant, inside and the outdoor patio, was warm and special feeling. Everyone was impressed and I was definitely happy I chose this as our spot for dinner, the tapas style food was perfect for a group and the drinks were incredible. I'd come here for a special date night or even with a big group, they seem to be very accommodating.
First, it was the hardest thing to make resv for my size party.
On open table it only allows you to make reservations online for 12 or less people.
So anything more you would have to call or email.
Tried for a few weeks and still nothing.
I only tried so hard because it worked with the plans I had after dinner.
Finally got through and told there was a min of $50 per person with groups 5 or more.
This place has so many rules.
Then they don't even let you know if you reached your min.
Guess they just want you to pay the diff with nothing in return.
So we asked, and the way the waitress and host handled it was embarrassing.
Then to top it off, they're closing gates and doors on us.
Rude people and don't care to give good customer service.
The food wasn't even that great, which made it worse.
NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Never going back, food is ok and service is worse.
Good luck making reservations, they never answer or return your calls.
As with any restaurant service, a lot depends on your particular Server. Aside from our Server being inattentive; she never recognized my food didn't arrived until I pointed it out to her; although she walked by our table at least 5 times. It may be each Server is assigned too many tables to offer appropriate food service.
The drink menu was extensive, but the product was not on point. Cool environment and decor, but food and drinks were disappointing.
Great food , great service and friendly staff. Drinks were awesome! Great views
Nice roof top patio, absolutely great whiskey list, but unfortunately the food isn't up to par..It's a crowded city with great restaurants, look elsewhere
We came to Dirty Habit for a birthday celebration. IT's great for groups because they offer large shareable alcoholic drinks big enough for 5-6 people. They had great service and the atmosphere is beautiful.
Good food but only average cocktails
Always a good time at Dirty Habit. Great food. Great drinks. Staff are pleasant. The outdoor seating area is very relaxing. I will be back again soon.
This place is very cute and hip. I loved the cocktail selection they had. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to take their date here or hanging out with friends.
Way overrated. Looked cool in photos but actually is this kinda plain open air area in what seems to be a condo building. I thought it was a rooftop with a view. Nope. Food was decent, service was terrible. Nice but so slow. And again, it's not a cool sleek space. Those are hard to find in SF!
The ambience is very cool - quite a few different areas to lounge here. The service was great but just note the drinks and food are expensive. The quality is great, but be prepared to shell out a lot for the experience
Was in San Francisco for my birthday and this place came highly recommended. It did not disappoint. When we get back to California we will definitely visit this place again.
i wanted to host a happy hour and booked a reservation online for a party of 10.
We had a great time, staff was nice and food was great - upon receiving my credit card statement, I noticed two charges - one for about $380 and another for $200. I assumed it was a mistake, so I called to talk to the manager. When i spoke to her, she informed me that a reservation of parties of 5+ requires a food/beverage min of $5 per person. That was the first I had heard of this - no one told me this upon booking the reservation or when I ran the payment for $380. I made this argue but she did nothing and was very condescending and rude. Such a bummer because i work very close to this bar and had gone there pretty often. I will stay far away and tell others to do so, as well.
Great crudo! Love the outdoor patio. Nice SF gem
Okay so apparently this restaurant is famous for its outdoor dining scene. But upon arrival we were informed outside seating would be an additional 45 min wait. We therefore elected to have dinner inside which does not particularly sets this restaurant apart.
Service also felt short. Plates were almost thrown onto the table, everything felt rushed and waitress did not show an ounce of passion for her work.
Food however was excellent, especially the duck. We shared several small plates and everything tasted really good.
We'll have to try again when outside seating is not as busy...
I love this venue. The food is fantastic. Tapas style. The drinks are nice. Plenty of wine options, great cocktails, and the draft beers are very nice. The atmosphere is amazing. The ambiance in the outdoor area is unique. It feels as if you are not in San Francisco, but on vacation somewhere. Highly recommended.
This place was so perfect for celebrating a birthday! The music was at a pleasant noise level-- and we sat below the speaker. The ambiance was so nice chill and low key but sophisticated and civilized. We had the pleasure of having Jeff as our server. He was so awesome ! He made recommendations that were spot on and we couldn't have been more happy with the whole experience! The drinks were heavenly and the food was perfect sizes- the 3 crab dumplings, 6 oysters, crudo, the 1 piece of seared duck and the yummy pot de Creme for dessert was perfect for us! Thank you!!!! We will be back for Halloween wknd!
Met there with friends for drinks after work on a Friday. We sat outside and the ambiance was great, as well as the service.
Dirty Habit captures he essence of everything so many restaurants aspire to be these days. There are few words that can describe this essence in purity of form, however. Everything about my experience at Dirty Habit was obviously crafted to magnify the sometimes fleeting nature of these qualities. The service, the ambiance, the decor, and so on all somehow coalesced into an experience that I won't soon forget. It all starts with making a reservation, interacting with staff, asking for those special details, and seeing how they are implemented. After considering how these elements are manifest in experience, the only words available to describe Dirty Habit are "Premium-Mediocre".
Like avocado toast, the finest wine at Chili's, or truffle oil on your french-fries, Dirty Habit takes the dining experience that faux-fancy people thing real fancy looks like, and distills it down to an overly-industrialized conveyer-belt experience to line the patrons at the tables like a pig-trough.
An evening at Dirty Habit will likely leave your stomach full, but both your spirit and your wallet lighter, as you contemplate the supreme mediocrity of your over-presented meal, and the phenomenal apathy the staff have to your enjoyment of your visit. There are certainly few ways to maximize your self-loathing than to trade your labor and resources to see it matched by the staff.
People talk about the bubble of silicon valley, and how much San Francisco has changed, but nowhere exemplifies the new order of our beloved collective bubble on the magnitude of Dirty Habit.
Drinks were great but food portions were small. Come here for expensive bar bites but don't plan to have a full meal.
We were there celebrating our anniversary. We loved the atmosphere, and the menu was eclectic and delicious!
Cool, chic & friendly staff!
Good ambiance good music food and drinks were good.
Great food. Fun drinks. Hip atmosphere. We sat outside which was very nice. We had a nice time
Great ambiance and service. We were a bit late for our reservation but the hostesses were extremely gracious and were able to seat us when another party left early. We really enjoyed our cocktails and apps!
Cool spot..outdoor seating is nice. would definitely go again!
Wow! We had a wait person named Aaron who had a enormous attitude.
Need I say more...
It made everything following sub standard.
A nice place for a drink or a light dinner. Very comfy and stilish
$18.00 for 1 ravioli....$18.00 for a lousy ravioli!!! Turned me off to ever wanting to go there again. They closed the outside which is why I really wanted to go there.
Such a disappointment.
First evening in San Fran and had pre booked here. Arrived and instantly liked it. Great venue. Great food. Great service.
