Waited more than 15 minutes for waiter to arrive, but learned he was in training. After that wait, service was wonderful, food was amazing. Sunday brunch was a good value. Can't wait to revisit.

We did the 4 course tasting menu (there are only 2 options: 4 course or 8 course, no a la carte).

We didn’t realize that we had to do a tasting menu so we were a little hesitant but the price was only $58 so we went for it! It was amazing amazing amazing. Each dish was creative, playful, & delicious! The service was impeccable. We all left extremely satisfied and almost overstuffed. Highly recommend this place for herbivores as well as carnivores!!!!

Great for a date, special occasion, or a special dinner w a group of friends. Go!

My husband and I shared the Brussels Sprouts tacos. All the toppings were in ramikins, so we could add what we liked. They were served with lettuce leaves, not tortillas, so more of lettuce wraps, not really tacos.

But when I asked the server for three very basic things (lemon, salt and extra lettuce leaves) she assured us she'd bring them, but the only thing that showed up was the lemon and that was when I asked her twice. Maybe she was having an off day, but I expected better.

Great place - not being vegetarian doesn’t matter as the taste sensations envelop one. Broccoli starter was unbelievable.

Def an experience of eclectic and unique vegetarian fare. Some items like the roasted bean wraps and the carrot slider were standout while other items missed the mark. Chocolate onion pie ugh

The tasting menu was plenty of food and the entirety of the many course took an obscene 2.5 hours to get through.

The place was very nice and service was excellent however this isn’t a foodie place for me but rather an experimental food journey with a few bumpy roads.

I’ve eaten here before and was excited to try the new menu. But I’m over experiential dining. When I go out to dinner, I want my food cooked, plated, and dressed. I don’t want to have to pick it off towers or grill it or open cardboard boxes to find it. If the food had been consistently impressive, maybe I could have forgiven the pretense. It also seemed to play havoc with the pace of the kitchen and the service - lots of sitting about waiting between courses, stretching out the delicious wines watching everyone else wait, too. Next time I’ll sit at the bar, enjoy the wines, and nibble on my favorites.

One of the best restaurant experiences of my life! Would highly recommend to anyone. The menu was inventive, creative, and delicious. It was a fun to look at and play with as it was to eat. The cocktails were delicious and vegetable inspired, and the wine list features women wine makers—something I’ve never seen in a restaurant.

I’ve frequented Dirt Candy over the past few years, but was disappointed to learn that they switched entirely to a 5 or 9 course tasting menu. The food was all very tasty, but not being able to order our favorite dishes is a deterrent. Would definitely do the 5 course if we come again; the 9 course option was too much food for 2 and took over 3 hours.

Had a great time. Servers were all very friendly and helpful. Food came out at a good pace. Very relaxing atmosphere. Also brought us complimentary champagne for our anniversary.

Main course, build your own brussel sprout tacos, was a bit underwhelming. It felt kind of lazy to bring out a platter half filled with uncooked or fairly off-the-shelf ingredients...it put too much weight on the infused guacamole and brussel sprouts. They couldn't carry the dish alone. but we were so full from the other great courses that it didn't really matter.

Would definitely still recommend and am curious about the 9 course offerings.

They're is a lot of hype about this place and it did not disappoint. The food was truly delicious and creative. The staff was very attentive, although I wish the explanations of the dishes- which were very extensive- were a bit slower so we could absorbed all of the information.

Absolutely delicious food, and true to its name - vegetables are the star of each dish in ways we had never experienced before. Even as a non-vegetarian I felt this was one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had. We had the basic tasting menu which was exceptional and we’re already talking about going back for their expanded seasonal menu. The service was also fantastic, the staff (including our server Tara) was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.

It felt like there was more emphasis on how the food looked than tasted.
The first 3 courses were ok, I had better, one course was good, but far from blowing my mind or mouth, but the desserts were a disaster! I have never in my life not finished a desert, and these were 3 all together that were left hardly touched.
I get the fancy experience, but I feel like I payed for the experience and not for the food.

Service was wonderful and the whole meal was an experience. It's so great to be entertained by your dinner! Everything was extremely delicious. We were celebrating our anniversary and had a lovely time. We'll be back!

Amazing foodie haven. We had the "Vegetable Garden" 10+ course tasting menu and every bite was delicious. The restaurant seamlessly accommodated a gluten free guest and she was never made to feel like she was missing out. Highly recommend this delicious restaurant for a special occasion, although the prices are so reasonable you might be tempted to go more often!

Very disappointed in Dirt Candy ordered the Brussel Sprouts tacos for $28 which was just slightly burnt Brussel Sports and dips - not even a variety of vegetables. Sandwich bread was white Italian bread not very healthy. This restaurant is in limbo can’t decide if it is vegan or vegetarian; organic, healthy or just mainstream.

We spent three hours there—which was about 45 min too long for me. The temperature was very warm. A little too warm started to feel like a chore.

The food was delish but felt like work to eat it. The service was EXCELLENT!! My favorite part, that alone was worth it. Love the “living wage no tip situation.” Hope there are in fact making a living wage— the service would reflect that they do.

Definitely worth it. Might go back, but would prepare to be there all night. 😬

Dirt Candy has an exquisite operation going. Despite its tasting-oriented menu, they do not hold back on portion size, and we left our five-course dinner feeling beyond fulfilled in both flavor and appetite. The head chef crafts beautiful, unique dishes that range from grassy, earthy and raw to full on comfort-style flavor-- all with a supremely exciting, artistic appeal. The wait staff is more friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating than we ever expected. They were constantly committed to providing us a top-notch experience; available, but never over-attentive or obtrusive. If you seek dishes that far surpass your own conception, a lovely, intimate environment, and staff that makes you feel like you're the most important customer they've ever served, reserve a table at Dirt Candy. You can't go wrong.

My husband and I went to Dirt Candy for our 7th anniversary. We loved the food and were surprised to realized we had been there for 3.5 hours eating and drinking wine. We were having such a great time that we hadn't even noticed. The food was unique and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend checking it out!

Dirt Candy never disappoints with creative (and delicious!) menu items that can convert veggie haters and make veggie lovers fall more deeply in love at the same time. Highly recommend the tomato biscuits with basil butter, Korean fried broccoli, and the zuchinni pancakes. Even the green tea had a little something extra going on...no bland boring generic tea leaves here. Since they switched to a fixed dinner menu, I prefer brunch here (it's a la carte). I'm just not into having someone else decide what I'm eating.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! As a vegetarian I couldn't believe all the options and flavors being served to me. Not once did the standard staples of lettuce, tomato and tofu come up. We were blown away by the variety of flavors, presentation and service.

Dirt Candy is a pure vegetarian restaurant and is owned & run by famous chef Amanda Cohen. They now only just serve either 5 courses or 9 courses tasting menu. Very good food and service. Price is not expensive. Tips is included in the menu price and no additional tips is allowed.

The Vegetable Garden fixed-price meal with Wine Pairings was extremely creative, delicious, and more than fun! I cannot say enough nice things about the food itself and our top-notch server, and the Sommelier provided many poignant and personal details which further contributed to the great Food Experience. I will mention that you should plan a full three hours if you choose this 8 or 9 course meal, but other menu choices are available for different types of evenings. I like the fact that Dirt Candy includes the tip in the total price.

Since our last visit 2 years ago the restaurant has gone to an all tasting menu restaurant. It makes ordering easier but also lengthens your dining time. We opted for the shorter 5 course meal but still spent nearly 2 hours there. Still has some of the most creative vegetarian food in the world at a reasonable price. Highly recommended, especially for an evening of leisurely fine dining.

charge is price-fixed per person, but our table of three got the same portions to share as tables of two next to us. Small portions to begin with ... bill is staggering for amount of food.
Props to artistic presentation and creative fare, but the feeling of being ripped-off overwhelms this experience.

Love this place! Though you should be prepared for a long evening if you opt for the vegetable garden prix fixe, it is worth it. Each course is terrific. There are some new dishes as well as some longstanding favorites (carrot sliders, tomato cake, Korean fried broccoli...). Can't say enough good things about this place. Amanda Cohen is a genius.

As an unabashed omnivore with carnivorous leanings the bar is going to be high, and it is very much matched. Second time eating here, first after the change to a chef's menu format. The food and service match the price. I need to start manufacturing more excuses to go, regardless of vegetarian/vegan friend's availability.
