“memorable modern Greek cuisine" that “would make them jealous in Athens”, particularly when paired with an “extensive wine list” worthy of Dionysus; the five owners provide “over-the-top” service in the spirit of filoxenia (the art of hospitality) for what’s sure to be a "big fat Greek night" out. - Zagat

Wonderful festive evening with son and his girlfriend. Food was outstanding.
Our 10th dining experience and like all prior, truly excellent. Going on the early side permitted easy conversation. Did get noisier as more diners arrived.
Thank you for maintaining your quality and service levels!
Great service attention to detail
Great for special occasion
Delicious food, excellent service
Dio Deka is one of the best restaurants in the Bay Area in my opinion. The food is incredibly good, especially the grilled octopus and the steaks. If you visit when Athos is working, ask to be seated in his section -- he is super gracious and will take excellent care of you.
Always an enjoyable experience and wonderful food!
Great service, great wine, good food
Food is great. Waiter kept rushing by without stopping to really hear our requests. But otherwise amazing!
Dio Deka never disappoints! Thank you again for the great service especially from our attentive waiter Anthony. The steak and fish dishes were excellent but the baby back rib appetizer was divine.
They have great ambience for sure. The place was cozy. We ordered Chicken dish and a Fish dish. Overall taste wise they have a lot to improve. I would not recommend this since it is expensive for the limited choices on the menu and also not as great for taste. The chicken was too uncooked from inside. Also the fillings used were smelly.
Excellent! Highly recommend especially for a special celebration.
The menu choices were disappointing to me, I expected more Greek food options and my main course (lamb chops) were chewy and unremarkable.
Love the food, ambience n service. Superb restaurant ❤️❤️
Service and food was great!
Dio Deka always seems to deliver a consistently excellent experience. Waitstaff is attentive, but don't hover. Our party of 3 chose 2 starters to share, the mesquite grilled octopus (superbly cooked and seasoned) and the tzatziki spread accompanied with freshly baked pita. The braised lamb osso bucco was perfectly prepared and sauced with a bold, but not too rich gravy. The branzino was expertly filleted, flaky and delicious. Our group chose a Hall Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa) which was a big hit. We opted to share the Greek beignets (loukoumathes) and they were perfect puncutation for a delightful meal. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and surrounded by the picturesque Hotel Los Gatos. Dio Deka remains on the top of our list for business entertainment and special occasion dining.
This is always top notch, but most recent visit was spectacular. All the staff was so gracious and attentive as a quality restaurant should be, but as we know some act aloof and superior. Food was perfect, usually get the lamb and the dips. Got a shashimi app that was amazing. Overall great night!
Great food. Awesome service.
Amazing food, everything is just lovely, super tasty, in decent portions. And staff does not rush you.
The quality of food was really good the dessert we ordered was very good. I wish they had more than one item for vegetarians.
Fantastic service and very tasty food . Great wine selection .
we all enjoyed our food. the lamb chops are excellent best in the area if you love lamb like we all did. the salmon also was tasty and desert to die for! we definitely going back.
Everything was superb...the food, the ambiance and the service. There isn’t one negative thing I can say about this restaurant. I recommend it to everyone.
Second time I have tried this restaurant. First time I did not like it but my wife did so I gave it a second try. It is very expensive for what you get. It's menu is way too small. For a high class restaurant it has a poor selection of beers and no draft beers. I didn't like the Osso Bucco as it was too fatty, didn't taste like lamb and way overcooked. The vegetables didn't seem to match the meat. I guess my problem is I like simple meats and fish that have been cooked properly and have a fresh taste.
We enjoyed a special occasion and the staff were very attentive and nice. Food was very good but not great. Every dish was nicely dressed up. Overall a great experience and better than previous occasions.
The service was PERFECTION but the food was lack luster to me. The fact that the steak items were a la carte was ridiculous for the amount you paid for the main course. Both my son and I ordered the New York and both were ordered medium rare and both were raw in the center. Not rare, raw. The appetizer was bland and the two items the server brought out as little adds were really flavorless. I am very versed in authentic Greek cuisine and the food served here was far from what I had hoped it to be. The one true saving grace was the desert. The loukoumades were by far the best I have ever had. They were perfection with just the right amount of crisp and tender in the center to the amount of honey to walnut ratio. The one thing I would be back for is that desert for sure!
Have been here many times and they never disappoint. Love this place for excellent food, service and ambiance.
We arrived at 5:15pm for our 5:30pm dinner reservation. The hostess greeted us, knew it was a reservation for 7 and walked us to our table. It was the only round table in the room and the only table without a tablecloth. The table was laid only for 6. I had mentioned in the reservation that it was for a birthday celebration. The wait staff was excellent. They brought in the 7th place setting and 7th chair right away. We had two children in the group and the 8 year old like the lamb chop he ordered and asked that the chef be informed. The waiter did let the chef know right away, but the chef was busy to did not have the time to come out and acknowledge the appreciation. Usually, the birthday person gets a special and free dessert even though the rest of us have ordered dessert. The birthday person did not get any special dessert and was charged like the rest of us at the table. The waiter and those assisting him were excellent. The food was good, but we have had better at Evvia in Palo Alto. Overall Dio Deka is good, but being a long drive south for us, I am not sure how often we'll return.
We were a small group celebrating a wedding anniversary and birthday. Great table position. Service excellent food and wines just great.
Lots of other diners. The atmosphere was energetic
Love the food! Love the service! We’ve been here several times. We even had our office holiday party here.
They have never disappointed!
Especially Loved the Grilled Octopus and Branzino!
Excellent dining place particularly for Lamb chops and Steaks as well as Greek specialities!
We ate in the bar for a late light lunch after a day of travel and much needed cocktails were perfect. Marissa was the perfect hostess and server. We had cocktails and dessert several evenings and the flourless chocolate cake was delicious! Rin took extra care to ensure my wife's water glass was always full and he stopped by to say "hello" when we were not seated in his area. Our last evening in Los Gatos meant a return visit to the restaurant for a special dinner by the fireplace. It was warm and our request for no fire was politely accommodated. Rick was our server that evening (as he had been on other occasions) and made us feel like long-time special customers. Again Rin stopped by and was delightful . The food was excellent, served at the proper dining pace and temperature. Truly, a lovely way to end our trip.
Exceptional service from Jeremey our lead waiter. Perfectly prepared dishes were brought to the table hot of the grille. My Uncle’s 92nd birthday was fabulous!
Authentic Greek food, but more American traditional choices also. Wonderful, friendly service, very welcoming. May be a bit pricey for some but prices commensurate with other restaurants in Los Gatos of this caliber. Grilled octopus is a staple as are the grilled lamb chops. The friendly wait staff is excellent at guiding you through the menu and you will never feel rushed. Great spot for a date or special occasion.
Los Gatos’ best dining! Try everything, but the lamb chops are a must. They have a new chef from Haiwaii and there are some new menu items that are amazing!
Too much hype, not much value: over priced, nothing Greek and Mediterranian about food. Ironically, there is nothing Greek about the food. False disguise for 99% American food with pita bread thrown free to make people believe!
Service was outstanding. Food was good but not outstanding. Not sure what makes a restaurant Michelin rated, but I was expecting better food. I would still go back though.
This was my first time at the restaurant. The service was exceptional. The food was excellent for the most parts though I was not impressed with the homemade ice cream, and the main fish dish was good but not outstanding. Appetizers were delicious. We asked to be seated in a corner/quiet area and were surprised to be seated in a very central table. It was somewhat noisy for a while as it was busy dinner time.
Dio Deka is a must for a fine dining experience. The food is delicious and great care is taken in the presentation. The servers are effortlessly attentive.
Thank you for making my mother feel special on her birthday!! Excellent food & service.
