Great spot for romantic dinner. Not too loud easy to talk. Great service and ambiance/location.
Waiter was nonexistent most of the evening
A great way to celebrate an anniversary.
Really delicious and unique gourmet Greek food with unusual combinations, lovely restaurant inside and out. the best!
Was actually disappointed with food. Among 7disheswe ordered, only black cod was satisfying. Overall, It's not worth the money.
The service was above and beyond. Rick made sure we had a special birthday/anniversary dinner.
My husband said it was the best steak he has ever had.
We would 100% come back.
Absolutely the best lamb chops I've had! Our waiter David was excellent. Highly recommend.
Dio Deka never disappoints with its excellent food and service!
We had dinner on a Friday night - party of 5, to celebrate 2 birthdays. This was our first time there. Everything was fantastic - 4 of us had steaks, I had the Moussaka. All of the food was fantastic, including the appetizers and desserts. My after dinner mocha was probably the best I have ever had. It is pricey, but I think it was worth the money. Great food, service and atmosphere!
We were celebrating my son's high school graduation with family and a few close friends. This may have been the most enjoyable dinner I have ever had. Obviously the company and the occasion contributed, but the food, the energetic ambiance, the wine list and the service were each outstanding. Four of us had the bone-in fillet, it was perfectly cooked and worth every one of the many pennies it cost, others had the bone-in rib eye, the lamb chop and a shy girl friend opted for the lower cost chicken. We had numerous appetizers, octopus, scallops with truffle potato puree, Brussels sprouts, and everything was delicious. It was a bit noisy, but so were we. The "waiter" (one of the five partner owners) and I discussed wine, and he came back with a fabulous choice that didn't completely break the bank and was at a lower price point than the range I gave him. And, the service (mostly with personal care by that partner owner, but also the rest of the wait staff) was attentive and engaged, without being unctuous or intrusive.
I love great restaurants, have been to many around the world, and yet I'll repeat my observation that this may have been the most enjoyable dinner I have ever had. It won't be cheap, but here you get what you pay for, and then some.
The service and food always of a very good standard and sensible portions. A venue you can dress smart and on every visit it feels a special occasion
Celebrated her birthday last night. Can’t think of a better place for special occasions. I thought this is a world-class server.
Great food, better service.
It had been quite a few years since my last visit and I am glad to have gone back. The food was amazing. So much flavor. Our waiter was probably the best waiter I have every had. He definitely helped make the evening better. I will be going back again soon.
Flawless service from a friendly, professional waiter and a dinner well worth the price (which is high, but comparable to restaurants on the Peninsula and in SF that pride themselves on fine dining). Brussels sprouts appetizer was incredible, with toasted pine nuts, crispy bits of ham and a touch of honey. Entrees equally delicious: mesquite grilled branzino with yummy roasted potatoes and fall-off-the-bone braised lamb osso bucco. Thank you for a memorable meal with satisfying portions, a happy, non-intrusive waiter, lovely ambience and space between tables!
We had a wonderful meal at DioDeka. It was a great place to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was delicious - greek fare with a modern and luxury twist. Definitely a special occasion place. Loved it.
Dio Deka has actually gotten better and better! The food is always excellent as is the service.
We look forward to trying new dishes each time we come and we've never been disappointed. The Lamb chops are amazing, the octopus is wonderful and the Greek yogurt dessert is fantastic!
It has been many years since we dined at Dio Deka. So it was a pleasure. The service was great.
Wonderful Mother's Day Brunch..........special service, and a long stemmed rose when
The food was beautifully served and delicious. We especially appreciated that the appetizers were served one at a time and placed in the middle of the table so each person could enjoy a taste of each item. Perfectly executed.
It was so wonderful to celebrate an early Mother's Day at Dio Deka. I was able to introduce my family to the restaurant ... though I have visited many times. It's one of my favorites.
Great food and service.
Awesome as usual! Athos is the BEST waiter! Thank you so much!
Hadn't been to Dio Deka in several years, forgot how good it is until it was recommended to me again. The menu is still Greek and middle Eastern, and it didn't disappoint. Very high quality Greek food, we had the 4 spreads with humus and pita bread, excellent, I had the double lamb chops, again superb, and she had the Spring Chicken, again wonderful. They gave us a complimentary anniversary beignet, but we also had a flourless chocolate cake dessert, again, fresh and delicious. The service was superb. Our waiter decanted the bottle of red wine I brought, saved the bottle and cork, and poured the remaining wine back in the bottle to take home. They didn't charge us a corkage charge, because we also bought a glass of wine for my wife. The interior of the space has a wonderful atmosphere, both open and still romantic. We arrived early, they sat us right away, very prompt table service, checked in on us multiple times to see how everything was. Complimentary valet parking.
Wonderful service and food. Not inexpensive but worth it.
The food is reasonably good. Appetizers are better than the mains. However, it's overpriced.
As always, on scale if 1-10 everything from our server to food and everything else this restaurant gets a 10. We’ve never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Pricy but definitely worth every penny.
Good place but good seemed not as good as usual.
Most dishes good but not exceptional.
Mushroom soup outstanding.
Lamb chops fatty not special. Expensive for quality I would not order them or eat them again.
Service very good. Wine advice and wine good.
Overall I had a great dining experience at Dio Deka. A beautiful restaurant nestled in Los Gatos producing great Mediterranean flair. We celebrated a birthday here and the food especially lamb and steaks were quite good. The only disappointment was dessert wasn’t on the house when knowingly we were celebrating a special occasion sigh. When you’re a Michelin star restaurant and service is suppose to be a key point in your establishment I would expect something small like that to be a gesture with the money I’m shelling out. But a wonderful cozy restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient but not personable. I don’t know maybe it’s because we”re in the younger age of the demographic.
Great service only matched by great food!
My husband and I came here for our Anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. My favorites were the tzaziki appetizer, the filet minon, and the greek yogurt dessert. My husband loved his lamb chops. I wasn't thrilled with the spanikopita (it was a bit dry), but the rest of dinner, impeccable service, and Mediterranean setting made the long dinner a hit. Our waiter graciously comped the desserts, since there was a family with a yelling toddler and baby 2 tables away from us (and we were at that restaurant partially for the adult ambiance). Wonderful evening out.
We had a nice time. But not really up to expectations. Long delay between appetizers and main course. Fish and chicken entrees cooked perfectly, and sides were GREAT. but the tomohawk pork chop was a little overdone (not enough to send back, but enough to remember) and the lamb chops - well, one was tiny and overdone, the other was perfect. but for these prices, you gotta hit the ball out of the park, and they did not do that.
First time here after hearing good things from others. Was not disappointed. Service was exceptional, food was deliciously different from the many showing up in the Mediterranean space. Highly recommend!
thank you - it was wonderful! I always enjoy going here for great food and wine.
Delicious food in a tasteful atmosphere. Although not traditional Greek or Mediterranean fare, there is a strong Mediterranean influence. The service is always excellent as well, making for an extremely enjoyable experience. Note, though, that it can get moderately noisy (never so much that it's hard to converse).
Try the octopus appetizer! Delicious!
Great dining and terrific waiter really made the experience special.
Our group of 6 really enjoyed our evening. Most of us ordered the fish of the day which was black cod. It was made to perfection with an amazing broth. The octopus starter was good but not great. It lacked depth in flavor. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The wine list is deep with many gems. If you're looking for an upscale night of dining with good friends, this place will serve you well.
Great service, delicious food and quiet ambiance
Food was delicious, very attractive presentation, restaurant staff presented a birthday card to the honored guest, very attentive, no long wait between courses
