Dino & Harry's Steakhouse
The menu is classic American fine dining with influences from around the globe as well as local twists and ingredients. The French onion soup, grilled octopus and brie salad are all great options to start a meal, while the most popular items in the entree section include homemade ravioli, Icelandic cod and a 16-ounce blue cheese sirloin.

Dinner was very tasty. I feel that perhaps the porterhouse was the best thing I've had there however the one that they call dinner for two is questionable. I polished it off myself with no problem and I did not even go that crazy. Other than that, it was excellent. The server was great and the food was great and they sat us somewhere in the back corner that was pretty quiet.
Graduation and birthday!
Steve is a legend
Appetizers were disappointing to say the least. The fried calamari was soggy and the fig and burrata dish had no taste. Staff was talking to each other and not paying attention to customers . Way over priced for what you get!
We went here for our one year wedding anniversary. Amazing halibut and steak. Tuna tartar was fresh and the drinks were perfect. Service was great as usual.
Filet cut was very good but a tad overtemp for a medium rare. Overall nice place and will return when back in Hoboken.
Thought the food was good but not great, also minus drinks cost....$300.00 for a table for 4 was not inexpensive. There are better opportunities in Hoboken.
Good food in Hoboken at Manhattan prices bring your expense account !
Other than being seated by the musician where it was a little loud and an only so-so martini, everything else about our experience was great. Our reservation was honored and we were seated promptly. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive and we never felt rushed. The one cocktail was generously portioned but just not stellar. Our various appetizers were very good (French onion soup, blue point oysters, panko crusted brie over greens) and our entrees were just right. The porterhouse for 2 was cooked to perfection (Med rare), the Bronzino was delish and the filet mignon was done just right with a good peppercorn sauce. Dessert was shared and our choice (basically vanilla ice cream with cookie crumbs) was nothing special, but it was what we wanted and did the trick to satisfy out community sweet tooth.
The gentleman at the piano also played guitar on some numbers. Song choices appealed to us middle-agers and he performed well.
Bar action was interesting to watch and there was a good Yankee game on one of the TVs.
We will definitely return; we’ll simply ask to be seated farther away from the music source.
The quality of food and service never fails.
Try the Bacon appetizer. It is phenomenal! Superb, attentive waitstaff. Cod & Lamb dinners were excellent. Lamb chop was quite large, so keep that in mind! Will go for dessert next time.
Delicious food. GREAT service. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back.
We made a reservation and were sat in the back of the restaurant in a dreadful spot. We asked to sit elsewhere or we would just go somewhere else, they accommodated us. Our server who stated she had worked there for 25 years was awful. We were without water, she didn’t know what a French 75 is, didn’t know what tequila they had on site.
Food was basic, nothing stellar about the experience. Only memorable experience was watching several couples leave after being sat at the table they attempted to have us in. Save your money and go to a better restaurant.
Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Very average service.
Solid food. But last night steak was under then when they took it back it was over so a little disappointing when it was pretty pricey
Arrived early for dinner. Very attentive server who checked on us regularly but wasn’t rushing us. Attentive throughout the evening. Food was served quickly, prepared perfectly and was excellent.
Waitress was great, food was exceptional. Never disappoints!
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, FOOD WAS AMAZIN, ATMOSPHERE HAD GREAT VIBES, AND THE WINE MANY MANY CHOICES!
Excellent porterhouse for 3, apple smoke bacon, Brussels sprout, hash browns. Steak is so flavorful much better than Ruth Chris, Capital Grills, River Palm, Fleming’s... Their dessert menu and wine list are limited, however, bar tender Steve makes excellent martinis and cocktails. I believe happy hours before 6:30pm 50% at the bar. Highly recommended!!!
Aside from my steak coming dry & very well done when I asked for medium it was overall great. Very quiet, me & my girl had our own little place by windows. Will be returning in the near future
Met client for drinks and dinner. Have been coming here for decades. This time the food was mediocre, cold and thrown together before reaching our table.
Service was slow and not very attentive.
The noise level was horrible, you cannot have a conversation. Prices were shameful!
This restaurant has seen it's better days long ago.
Was truly looking forward to a meaningful evening with a client over a nice meal.
Lucky the meeting went well in spite of the obstacles.
There are many better locations in Hoboken that do not charge NY prices for mediocre food.
Great food, great service, place was jumping tonight.Out of town business guests enjoyed all of it.
We have enjoyed Dino’s for the six years we have lived here and everyone we have taken there, family and business guests, have always heaped praise on the food, service staff and ambiance.
I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews about this place but my visit to this restaurant with my husband was lovely. The parking wasn't that bad since there was plenty of metered parking outside and all we had to do was walk 2 blocks. We were 30 minutes early but they accommodated us to our table right away. My husband got a Sirloin Steak and I got the Organic Chicken despite this restaurant is known for their steak. We also got a Trio Empaladas as an appetizer. The food was amazing, the ambiance was lovely and service was great as well. There was a pianist who was playing 'Game of Thrones' and we found that pretty amusing. I would definitely come back.
Decent food but service is so bad it’s not worth going. Same price as any good steak house in the city. Go to striphouse, delmonicos, or anywhere else.
Worst dining experience I've ever had. I wasn't bothered that it took an hour for the entrees to come out because it was valentines day, but my wife has food allergies so we were very clear about that and the food still came out with the ingredients she's allergic too. They brought out her food made from scratch that was supposed to be a medium cooked steak and it was extremely rare. After sending it back a second time, it came out rare again and my meal had been out for over 30 minutes. So we canceled her order, paid and left. Nobody made an effort to apologize or add any customer service. I had trouble with service there once before and thought maybe it was a fluke. It wasn't and I will never go again and will recommended others to avoid.
When my friends come to Hoboken, I always take them to Dino’s and Harry’s. Great drinks and awesome steak and fish entrees. Great service.
Our favorite restaurant, period. Would put it up against any NYC or big city steakhouse. Staff is professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I wish we could afford to go once a week! But makes it all that more special when we do make it.
The restaurant feels a little bit outdated. The quality of the steak was very good though. The service could have been a bit more friendly and welcoming. Overall probably not a place where I would go back, considering the wealth of choice there is in Hoboken. I do want to point out that I came for an early supper at 4pm and it wasn't very busy. Still, that means the service could have easily dedicated a bit more time and energy on me.
I have dined at Dino and Harry’s multiple times. This time was absolutely awful. We were seated about 20 minutes after our reservation time. Then we sat at the table for about 10-15 minutes without having a waiter come by to greet us. At that point he came over and said I’ll be right with you. 5 minutes later he came over and asks if we are ready. Never introduced himself. This was one of two times he came over to the table for the entire night. The only other time he came back was to drop off a dessert menu. Never asked if the food came out ok. We sat with empty drinks for about half our time there. Waited about 15 minutes after we were done eating before someone actually acknowledged us to wrap up what was left. This place is usually busy and should staff appropriately as this was completely unacceptable. This trip left a sour taste in my mouth and I won’t be going back there.
Went for restaurant week. It was a great deal and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend for date night. Will definitely be returning.
Just moved to Hoboken around the corner from the restaurant. We tend to go out to dinner 3 to 4 times during the week. We were excited to visit and finally made a reservation. First time at the restaurant for Friday date night. We were there for a 6pm reservation so was surprised when the service was poor. Food was very good but overall the service was bad. The server seemed annoyed to wait on us and was curt and rude. When we left the restaurant we told the hostess it was our first time to the restaurant we enjoyed the food but the service was not good. The response was ok well welcome to Hoboken. Disappointed in the service and response.
Went for restaurant week. Wasn't the best meal I've had, felt my steak was a little too pink for my liking.
Great food Leslie our server was great
Best steak place in Hoboken. Love everything on the menu. Drinks were awesome.
always a great meal. applewodd smoked bacon is our personal favorite.
Our party was there for Hudson Week. Very good selection and meal. We had the 14oz Sirlion served with steak fries. Could have come with a veggie would have been perfect.
Only draw back was making reservation on line. Would have been party of 5, but said not available. When we got to the restaurant the place was fairly empty. Didn't make sense!
Definitely a great deal for Hudson Restaurant Week- $40 for a 3-course dinner. The food was fantastic!
Great experience 10/10 would go back. It was one of the best restaurants we enjoyed during Hoboken restaurant week!
Our server was great, but the service was quite slow. We weren’t checked on for quite some time and were there 2.5 hours for a 3 course restaurant week meal. Salmon and salad were delicious!
