About Dino & Harry's Steakhouse
Dino & Harry's Steakhouse is a fine dining restaurant located in Hoboken, New Jersey. Dino and Harry's has a certain undeniable elegance that comes from its decor and the building it's housed in, an 1800s longshoreman's bar. Dino and Harry's very much respects the history of the establishment, and the walls are decorated with pictures and decor from the era in which the old saloon was built. The centerpiece is a 150-year-old clock that sits front and center in the dining room.
The menu is classic American fine dining with influences from around the globe as well as local twists and ingredients. The French onion soup, grilled octopus and brie salad are all great options to start a meal, while the most popular items in the entree section include homemade ravioli, Icelandic cod and a 16-ounce blue cheese sirloin.

Dino & Harry's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
I've dined here a lot but usually with just my wife. The other night we had a group of six and everybody ordered something different. From the appetizers, salads, and entrees everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Steve the bartender was on point with a variety of martinis as well. Definitely one of the best restaurants in NJ.
This is our 4th or 5th time dining at Dino and Harry's and the meal never disappoints. We normally don't stray too far from the good old steak but no matter what you have it's delicious and the gnocchi side dish is a MUST for us. On this occasion the service was a little slower than expected but very friendly. We will definitely continue to go back!
We've gone many times, but lately the food quality has been declining. Tonight my water glass was splashing on the table because the steak was so tough and hard to cut (despite being properly cooked). The oysters were very lacking and our calamari was way too salty. The portions also seems to be getting smaller.
Another fantastic meal at Dino and Harry's. We need to come here more often. Steaks are always perfect and flavorful. We had a bottle of Pinot from Monterey, which was excellent, and coming off a recent visit to Napa, I'm able to say their selection is great. Apps and sides are all amazing. Can't go wrong here!
Overpriced! Horrible little hole in the wall! Six of us squeezed into a corner near the very boisterous bar (first game of World Series). The food was not bad, but totally and absurdly priced. Who do they think they are? Never never never again.
Don’t waste your money! Celebrating a first anniversary and a new pregnancy, ruined.
Came here for my boyfriend's birthday and we loved it! We were seated along the windows away from the main area, which was nice because it was a bit noisy in the main room. Steak was cooked perfectly and everything else we tried was delicious. We'll definitely be back for another special occasion.
We had a lovely experience at this restaurant recently. Our server was wonderful - attentive, friendly, and offered excellent recommendations, including an item that was not on the regular menu, but a perfect side dish for our group - hash brown potatoes with fried eggs. Yum! And all his other recommendations were spot on - gnocchi, spinach. Those who ordered steaks were all pleased with their cuts, temperature, and tenderness. I had a seafood pasta special that was so delicious - squid ink linguine with seafood in a spicy tomato broth. Spicy indeed, but did not detract from the overall flavor. Appetizers were wonderful as well. Empanadas are a "must try" - everyone swooned over them! The burrata was fresh. Those who ate the bacon loved it.
We were a bit disappointed with our location simply because it was rather loud, making conversation difficult for a large group of business colleagues. We were near the bar and there were several loud people and a decent crowd. However, I did enjoy the live piano player - he did a great job! The only other thing that was disappointing was there was a champagne listed online that they did not have in the restaurant, so it would be a good idea for them to update the website. We were looking forward to that one bottle, but managed to find a suitable substitute.
Overall it was a lovely evening, excellent food, and surprisingly wonderful service! We will return.
The food was very good but our experience with the service was not. First our waitress knocked over a glass of red wine that spilled all over my nephew. She did bring our club soda, but did not offer any compensation to help clean his shirt or purchase a new one. There were 5 of us and 4 entrees came out together, but she had but the wrong item in for mine, so they had to prepare another for me. She said she would take it off the bill, but when we got home and looked at the receipt, she did not. It's a nice restaurant, and like all steak houses, it is not cheap. Just would expect more professional service.
Our food was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed everything that we had ordered. The service left something to be desired. The restaurant was very quiet and not many patrons on a Sunday night. We didn't see much of our server or the other staff after our food arrived. We wanted to order more wine and we hadn't had anyone to stop by to refill our water. I ended up getting up and getting the water pitcher from the stand and serving myself bc we were desperate for water.
So the service was disappointing but we're hoping it was just an off night. The food was so good we will probably give this place another shot.
This is our favorite restaurant in Hoboken, and in our top 5 restaurants anywhere. It is an NYC quality steakhouse, for slightly less on the price. Wine list is very good, and reasonable considering the wines they carry. We would be here every week if we could :-)
Food was good and pretty quick. Our previous visits have been good but today, other than the food a complete disappointment. Waitress was friendly enough but after taking orders we never saw here again - not to check after the food arrived, not for a second drink, nothing. Until we were done.
Half way through the meal we asked for a manager and nothing. No one came.
After my wife confronted the waitress she comp'ed a bunch of stuff. So OK, fine.
On the way out the owner really couldn't seem to care less - a little apology but attitude was really pretty obvious that he didn't particularly care one way or the other - they got busy and we were off to the side apparently... just excuses...
Spend your money elsewhere.
The most delicious cut of sirloin I ever had, but disappointed by some of the side dishes. The potatoes were nothing special and the amount of garlic made the string beans almost inedible. The worst part though was to have the Restaurant Week menu advertise 5 dollar sides, and while clearly ordering off of that menu, be charged full price.
This is a great find. Caesar salad crisp and very anchovy in the ample dressing. Rib eye and sirloin steaks were very good, spinach side nicely sautéed and baked potato was tender on inside and crisped on outside. Well done. The "indoor sidewalk" table area is cramped and unappealing. Special request for that area in the reservation was not honored.
My wife and I dined here on our wedding anniversary whilst On holiday in New Jersey. We were recommended to go here by a work colleague from New York.
The food was very good and the lamb chops are a must to try! No room for dessert which was a shame as the selection looked delicious. Service was very good with attentive waiting staff.
I took my boyfriend for the first time and we absolutely loved it!! Him being a steak lover I knew Dino & Harry's Steakhouse would hit it out of the park. Nothing better then their bacon appetizer, steak dinner and a bottle of wine. Our waitress was amazing as well. Great service by the wait staff. I'm not one to complain but the welcoming/attitude by the hostess was rather disappointing, the only drawback.
Regardless I would highly recommend this place. I'll keep going for the food!!
We had to wait a long time for a table and the bar was very crowded so there really isn't room to wait. It is very loud.
The service was very good. T waiter elwasvvery friendly. The food was also very good but for the price I think that they could include a side dish.
Do to the price it is really a special occasion place, at least or us. We were celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary and my sons 23 bday and they did comp us two delicious deserts! That was wonderful!!
No prices on the daily menu specials? Really? Is it free? If you are going to charge me over $50 for a steak, you better offer service in accordance with that. The shrimp stuffed w/ crab meat special was overcooked and flavorless. A puddle of cream sauce didn't change that. Butternut squash "risotto" was bland and more lacked any creaminess of a well-prepared risotto. My husband's rib eye was ordinary and overwhelmed by the blue cheese. Desert just ok. A menu with zero inventiveness. Boring selection of wines by the glass. The harried waiter was a nice enough fellow but this was by no means "service" one expects at a first-rate establishment. Why do people come here? To show that they can pay high prices? I won't be back.
