Very nice people who waited on Us.
It was an older crowd. Not really our sort of food. Rich overdone sauces.
Not our kind of ambience.
It had a nice crowd ....just not our style.

Food, services and ambiance were excellent as usual at DF2. Particularly enjoy the low noise level so that a party can have a conversations (imagine that)!

Food was so so for Thanksgiving. They ran out of ham, the Brussels sprouts were not great, and there wasn't anything particularly notable about any of the dishes.

A great dinner for Thanksgiving! We loved the choices - 3 courses were more than filling. The taste and presentation was excellent. And the ambiance was cozy. Eclectic artwork added to the vibe. We would definitely come back the next time we visit Santa Fe.

Second time we had Thanksgiving dinner there. Last year we decided to go it alone for Thanksgiving and Dinner For Two seemed like a good idea. The dinner was so amazing we had to visit again this year. The filet mignon was buttery and smooth. We had to take leftovers home including the pumpkin pie and key lime pie. Third time? Hmmm, tough choice.

I've dined at Dinner for 2 for years. I've never been disappointed. Despite its name, it serves parties of more than two people. The food is always top quality. A great wine list. Excellent service. Linen tablecloths, low lighting, a quiet and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. I brought a friend on Thanksgiving Eve and we enjoyed a 3-course meal -- it was their special that night, for $24.95, and it was amazing. I had the incredible cream of mushroom soup for my starter followed by a crispy fried chicken breast stuffed with cheddar, bacon and green chile. Dessert was key lime pie with a fantastic graham cracker crust topped with whipped cream. Absolutely unforgettable -- and I'm a fussy diner!

Steaks were great. Caesar salad was overdressed and left the lettuce soggy and over anchovied. The apple pie a la mode was served at room temperature on a 500 degree plate. This pie never warmed up.

This was my second time to eat at Dinner for Two and the restaurant was completely full and very busy. Service was slow and the table side Caesar Salad was terrible. The dressing was brown and tasted way too fishy. Not sure what happened there. Everything took way too long to be served and our waitress rarely came by to see if we needed anything during our long wait. By the time dinner came we weren’t even hungry anymore.

The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We love that this is a family owned/operated business. They made us feel relaxed, comfortable and highly valued as customers. We are from out of town but already are planning to return next year when we are in Santa Fe.

Dinner for Two is ALWAYS a good choice. The food is consistently delicious. There are plenty of veggie options and the staff is very amenable to making it work for a veggie.
MUST have a table side caesar- so good!
We never have room for dessert but they always share a little ginger snap with you as you leave. nice touch.

In a word: disappointing. We'd eaten at Dinner for Two a year ago and it was great. This time, not so good: the chicken was dry and overcooked; the seafood sampler's salmon was cooked OK but was cold; the coconut shrimp was over-battered. And while the veal piccata sounded good, who serves it with mashed potatoes rather than pasta? When we reported our disappointment back at our hotel, they told us the restaurant had changed hands . . . so a word to the wise: ask your hotel folks, as the restaurant you loved last year might not be so good this year . . .

We are never disappointed here; both food and service are outstanding. This is one of the most inviting dining rooms in Santa Fe, with beautiful up-lighting, tasteful table settings, and nice guitar music to top it all off.

Alsolutely wonderful. The appetizers at the bar for Happy hour were great & a good value.
The meal was great, including the raisin bread even though I am not usually a bread eater.
And the key lime pie was perfect.
What a great dinner.

The usual VERY GOOD, fresh and well prepared food and cozy seating. Live Music. Service was spotty - not up to the 'usual' excellent service. Unusual not to have exemplary service so don't hold this against Dinner For Two. We'll be back as DFT continues to be one of our favourite restaurants in Santa Fe.

Don't dine here on a Sunday if you want it to be a special occasion. The restaurant was extremely busy, because it is the night that they have a fixe prix 3 course menu for $25. The waiters and waitresses were stressed (or so it seemed). Our main meal came out before our soup (45 minute wait). So, the main meal went back and when the soup came, it was not worth the wait. It was thin and watery. Forget the rest of the meal. Do try the happy hour food though. That was good!!
The shrimp and the salmon were both wonderful as appetizers during happy hour at the bar.

The restaurant was busy and the bar is located across from the kitchen. It was cool to interact with the Chef. The food was amazing and besides, I don’t know any other place where you can get a tableside cesar salad! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Service was polite but slow between courses. We asked for a birthday candle on our guest of honors ice cream & they did not bring one out with our final course to celebrate her birthday. We did not realize they did not have a full bar upon booking.

For our anniversary we wanted to try a new restaurant. It started out great. The mushroom soup and housemate bread were excellent. It was downhill from there. The one selection was very limited with very little range - it jumped from $30-40 range to $150 range for a "token" high end wine in each category. Our Trout and Veal dishes came with cold mashed potatoes. As soon as we could find our waiter (it took a few minutes) he brought us hot potatoes. The veal was very undercooked and the trout would have been better without the crab stuffing. I would not recommend this restaurant, as there are so many great restaurants here in Santa Fe.

The food ( veal and chicken breast French) was deligous. Also the soup and dessert. Great would be when you could have salad or soup. The waiter was friendly and asked how the meal is. For me price / earning was excellent. Also the bottle French wine was good and not expensive. We recommend this restaurant and will go again.
