We chose LaBella Valatie based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. Wanted to try some place new for my birthday and this restaurant was perfect! A little out of the way for us but well worth it. The food and portions were great. We all left with half of our meals for leftovers. The prices were very reasonable which was another reason I chose it. I had the chicken limone. It was excellent. The italian eggrolls were delicious. We will definitely go back!

I really enjoy the resturant, but we wont be going back. The menu is very limited. This is our second time there. My husband finds it difficult to find something he’ll eat. Both times he got the steak and ate very little each time. He didn’t complain or make any comments to the waiter. I’ve worked in the service industry. If a customer is done and doesn’t eat 90% of the meal, it might prompt someone to ask why. Overall I would say worth trying. Just not for us.

Il Faro is consistently fabulous. The food is truly outstanding, the service is friendly and professional, and I feel like I’m always treated like a beloved family member. It is by far my favorite restaurant in the Capital District. The food options are creative and always so delicious. They cater to all- omnivores and herbivores, gluten free, you name it. Fantastic mocktails and cocktails. I love how healthy yet delicious the food is. Truly, I always leave happy and can’t wait to go back again! I cannot recommend Il Faro highly enough. Just last night I ordered the sea bass and my daughter had the Guyanese pepper pot- I will be thinking about both of these dishes for a long time to come because they were SO good!

Cocktail list was fantastic. The French 75 was the best in Kingston so kudos to the bartender for achieving the perfect balance. The French onion soup and carrot soup were a delight. Duck condition was great with a apple cider glaze. Muscles special was incredible in the white wine cream sauce. Wines paired with dinner were perfect and desserts of pot de creme and creme brulle cheesecake were amazing. Overall great food, great drinks, and incredible service.
