By far the highlight of our trip to Niagara Falls. This was by far the best dining experience we have had in a long time. We appreciated the farm to table experience and the seasonal menu. We are already planning to visit again, to experience the fall harvest!

About the restaurant
People are going to spell our name wrong, and they’re going to question the choice. Simplicity applies to all things, and burgers are not an exception. We get right to the point at HAMBRGR. We give our guests the perfect combination of locally sourced ingredients, a wide selection of craft beer, culinary artistry, and of course, one of the most memorable experiences one can muster in the enriching restaurant culture sweeping over the city.

We were taken in right on time. We asked to switch our table inside which was great for our anniversary. We had an excellent server who went above and beyond for our anniversary. She was amazing! We had the garlic app and pasta for dinner. I asked for her advice on two choices and gave great advice. We got Gelato for dessert for our anniversary. It was a pleasant experience ☺️

Enjoyed our dinner at Masaki. The veggie tempura was light and fresh. My husband enjoyed his sushi and the pork belly bowl was delicious.

The food was very good. It’s a small restaurant, so it seems kind of noisy, and if you don’t have reservations you probably won’t get a table inside. You might get a spot at the bar, or outside if weather permits. I believe the least expensive bottle of red wine was $58.00, so try not to be super thirsty when you go unless you have much deeper pockets than I do! Food prices weren’t too bad. With food, wine, taxes and tip it was a little over $100.00 per person. I would definitely go back again to try some other dishes, although it would be hard not to order the Pappardelle alla Scampi again because it was mighty, mighty tasty.

About the restaurant
Reservations are open for dinner only, 9am-4pm is walk ins only.

What’s in the name you ask? We don’t really know, other than the fact that it has a good ring to it.

Nothing really about this place makes much sense. Are we a butcher shop or a restaurant? Are we a butcher shop inside of a restaurant? Or a restaurant inside of a butcher shop?

In our spare time we like to build fires and cook food over wood, you can hire us to do that. We make all of our own charcuterie in house, and we’re determined to get better at that everyday.

How do two concepts operate together in harmony? We don’t really know yet, but we will work at it ‘til it’s seamless. One thing we do know, all of the meat served and sold between these four walls is strictly derived from whole animals butchered in-house, sourced from happy places.

I don’t think I’ve seen that many beautiful pieces of meat in one place ever. The selection that they had available in the cooler for you to choose from is outstanding. The menu was simple, but broad enough for anyone’s taste. Lots of nice appetizers to share before we get started on the main course. Super quality food, well served. Lots of wooden chairs and solid surfaces so it was a bit noisy for a visit. Other than that, I would say it was a great experience.

The Oaklands celebrates simplicity, the season, and a sense of place. We connect people to place through respect for our history, our land, artisans and our commitment to warm hospitality and service. The restaurant takes its culinary cues from Niagara’s ingredient driven cuisine, rooted in the breadth and depth of global French culinary influence.

The beautiful setting encourages you to lose track of time enjoying stunning vineyard views and our sister property, Peller Estates, while enjoying a menu that changes with the seasons.

The service was exceptional and the interior decor was very elegant. The outside dining view of the vineyards is spectacular; however, we chose to dine indoors because the humidity that day was very high. We both ordered the scallops with asparagus, which were absolutely delicious. However, I thought the entree might have been hotter when it arrived. We have dined a number of times at Oaklands and have always enjoyed the experience. We look forward to returning again!
