Belly Bao is a located ion King Street, Newtown - Sydney's cultural hub. Sydney's first dedicated home of Bao, we specialise in hand made Bao creativity. It's important to us that you enjoy our love for food paired with great drinks and friendly service in our fun, casual restaurant that offers a hint of old Chinese restaurant nostalgia.
Taking from the traditional chinese pork bun (pork bao), we pride ourselves on our hand made bao, and introducing our asian heritage to our Australian home.

Owner Stu and his team enjoy meats of Europe, the pastas of Italy, and wines from off the beaten track. The restaurant comes together over a love of pork and swill (and country music).
The kitchen team spends afternoons pickling, rolling gnocchi, making focaccia and keeping an eye on our beloved cured meats and pecorino cheese wheels. By nightfall the show is on, the house is full and the atmosphere is swinging.
