We visit regularly and this charming bistro never fails to please. Lucent seeing, great food - inventive and tasty, using great ingredients. The service is friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. All in all, a great experience.

I ate the risotto which was great, and the chocolate pudding which was good too. I do think that the menu would benefit from a couple more dishes though. The place was lovely. Service was good but a bit slow when we wanted to pay and leave.

This place is the place to be in Summertown. I could not fault any aspect. It’s the most beautiful and relaxed environment with first class service. The barman today made the most wonderful cocktail. The Manor, Garsington is an exceptional place to dine. My wife and I both agreed just how much we enjoyed the food and service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m in a conundrum to share just how first rate they are because I want to be selfish and keep them a secret :) I have to be honest and say, I cannot recommend them enough.

The Fishes is a hidden gem. Quite a big gem, too. An imposing Victorian building set in acres of wooded grounds leading down to the banks of Seacourt Stream. The deck that wraps around the conservatory offers a rare opportunity in land-locked Oxford to dine outside with an idyllic view. In recognition of this, the Fishes was named Al Fresco Dining Pub of the Year in 2006, as well winner of The Public Vote in Oxfordshire Restaurant awards 2012 making it one of the best restaurants in Oxford.
