The Loggia was as brilliant as ever. The service was exceptional. The pizzas were amazing. The drinks and cocktails were top notch. Loved the new desserts. The location is so beautiful too, will be back again soon

With a passion for supporting farmers, the kitchen sources food from the very best local farms, knowing where each item comes from, from farm to plate. Owain even uses the produce from his family farm in Wales! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - Luke is particularly passionate about his small plates menu, ensuring that th plough is something for everyone.

Lovely pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, great staff and a lovey well thought out menu. All food was well presented and very tasty, the pork belly was excellent , tender soft and very enjoyable, the courgette starter really nice , light and fresh minty flavour. Good drinks selection and nice cosy table. Well done Owain and team , we will be back.

Beautiful surroundings and lovely food, faultless service. Especially enjoyed being able to take our pre-dinner drinks outside onto the terrace - comfortable seating and a firepit and amazing views. We will be returning again.

Appreciate the pub is a small village pub but I would prefer dining away from the bar area as it was very noisy at times and I have poor hearing in noisy environments. However food was very good. Buratta and tomatoes needed a little seasoning and olive oil.

Went to the Chequers to celebrate my partner's birthday along with her daughter and daughter's boyfriend. We have been to the Chequers before but it had been some time since our last visit. Both the food and service were exemplary. We all had steak of one variety or another (Fillet, Rump and T-Bone) together with Chunky Chips and Salad. The meal together with the wine were excellent. A fantastic meal and can't wait to go back again

We really enjoyed our meal here and the lunch time special was excellent value. My calzone was so big I've brought it home and it's my lunch today. Can also recommend the house red wine.

Wow - very impressive first visit for lunch !! Food and overall experience considerably better than anything we've experienced in the Henley-on-Thames / Reading area for many years. Feedback from friends and food guides has been positive, but this was much much better than we were expecting. Shared starters were excellent and moreish and all three of us loved our main courses. Rainy day, but we're looking forward to a meal out in the garden 🎯

Amazing food and have returned many times. As a family we have to deal with allergies (nut allergy and a coeliac) and the chef has always been able to accommodate us. 100% recommended

We have a nice relaxing lounge area and the atmosphere is cosy and classy. The garden area has great views and is open on warm days for dining. We are also dog friendly.

Orwells offers a choice of Al a carte, Wednesday - Sunday alongside a Tasting menu.
The Lunch menu runs from Wednesday to Sunday, its £45 for 2 courses and £55 for three courses. Sunday has a roast offering which in £55 2 courses & £65 3 courses, alongside the tasting menu and A la carte
