The Sage Student Bistro operates as a customer-focused classroom providing our students an opportunity to refine their culinary, bakery, service and supervisory skills. In this setting, the element of time is as important as the food and service. Because it is a classroom, the Bistro is only open when classes are in session during each quarter. A standard menu is offered at lunch, and features student specials. Dinner service offers tasting menus and select student-crafted courses. THINGS TO KNOW
Reservations are available and recommended for both lunch and dinner. Walk-ins will be served as possible. Reservations for groups up to 6 persons are available through OpenTable.com or the widget below. Groups larger than 6 should contact us for reservations.

Really enjoyable evening. This is a student run dining experience. We had great service from the check in desk to our server to the students in the kitchen making terrific food. We got all showcased menu items and they did not disappoint. Thank you for a great evening.

Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. I greatly appreciated the amount of gluten free offerings, and the non alcoholic beverages. I had an excellent non alcoholic chardonnay. We enjoyed the starter spreads, and the Shawarma Spiced half Chicken was our favorite dish. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff were great. I hope to visit again soon.

The 3 of us had a very enjoyable evening. Each of us ordered different appetizers, and different entrees. Alex and Ryan did an excellent job as did the person who brought some of our dishes.

The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat. Whether you enjoy the historic Haymarket atmosphere to the relaxed vibe of the Cellar, we have what you want!

Really great place! Always enjoy it! Wine tasting is a Marvelous idea! Eli was our waiter and he was fantastic! He was very busy but still managed to take very good care of us. Everyone’s dinner was superb, our compliments to the Chef. If you want, superb Italian food, great wines, and the best service you could ask for go to Florios! Tell them JJ sent you!

We love The Oven! Great ambiance, great food and our server Karley was excellent! Loved the Meat Samosas & Muligatany soup. Ordered Chicken Tikka with a side of Korma sauce. The rice was not warm however and the sauce was runnier than usual. Good size serving we could share. Sat in a booth area with a bit too much breeze from overhead fan so will opt out of that location in the future. All in all however a delicious dinner and one of our favorite restaurants.
