Hola! Welcome to Bar San Juan! We are a cozy tapas bar and restaurant in the lovely suburb of Chorlton, South Manchester.

At Bar San Juan, we’re more than just a restaurant serving delicious Spanish food; we’re a place to relax and embrace the Spanish way of life. Enjoy some tapas, sip on cerveza, and have a great time!

Our tiled tapas bar features traditional decor and serves authentic dishes along with imported beer and wine. Our goal is to bring a little taste of Spain to Manchester.

Higher Ground is located in Manchester city centre and focuses on seasonality within the UK.

The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday at dinner and at lunchtime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

At lunch a £40pp seasonal set menu is offered alongside an à la carte menu. At dinner, both an à la carte and a seasonal set menu at £65pp are available. Both menus are available when sat at the kitchen bar counter.

We often hold space for walk-ins at the kitchen bar counter so pop by and have some plates and a glass of wine!

Bar Shrimp, our cocktail bar, is next door to Higher Ground. 🍸🦐 Head there for a drink either before or after your meal at Higher Ground.

Reservations of up to twelve guests are accepted via the OpenTable online reservation platform. For parties of 6x guests and over, the seasonal sharing menu is served.

With over 25 years of experience collectively, bartender brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield always had a vision to return to their home city of Manchester to open their eponymous venue;
SCHOFIELD’S BAR.

SCHOFIELD’S BAR graces the corner of Sunlight House, one of the most iconic buildings in the north of England.

The art deco masterpiece of architect Joseph Sunlight was the tallest building in Manchester upon completion during the 1930s, a decade of great importance for cocktail culture. An era of grand and luxurious bars, known for their hospitality and classic cocktails.

Please note that we are only able to accept a handful of reservations each day as we are a walk-in led venue so please do not be put off visiting us if you are unable to reserve. All reservations are only guaranteed 2 hours at the table.

Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. Bookings and Walk-Ins available.

Open seven days a week from 10am until late, the restaurant and bar not only offers a variety of beverages including cocktails, beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, but focuses on its strong day time offering with great breakfast, brunch and lunch options as well as quality coffee and freshly blended smoothies.

The Pencil and Pencil has an array of events throughout the month with a resident DJ to get the party started every weekend, a weekly quiz night on a Tuesday, and its sell-out Bottomless Brunches! It also offers a private room for corporate event and celebrations..

Unfortunately, we are unable o serve guests with Coeliacs due to the risk of cross contamination.
