Overall experience was very nice and upscale. Food and wine was tasty and moderately priced. Our biggest complaint was the music. Would have been more appropriate and complimentary to have soft jazz playing.

Have dined at Republic Grill (Magnolia) several times. As usual, the food was good and it was priced well. (We did take advantage of the $10 off a bottle of wine over $30 offered on Wednesday night). Our server, Leo, was efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. We will be back.

This was the best food we ate over our 4 night stay in Galveston. It’s owned by Paco, who also owns the restaurant across the street called Rudy and Paco’s. We didn’t care for the food at R&P very much even though the reviews are great. Hard to believe the same people own both restaurants.
