Tremendous experience from hospitality, bar beverage program, and menu. We usually go into Houston for special dining experiences. Galveston now has one our favorites that will be in our dining rotation. The scallop and lump crab on risotto appetizer was amazing as were the fried green tomatoes with lump crab. Cesar Salad was second to none as was the lobster bisque. Beef filet special perfectly cooked to medium-rare. Snapper with pasta has excellent seasoning as well. Creamed Corn and pablano sweet and salty with cotija cheese was yum!!! Top notch experience all the way around.

We had a wonderful meal at Rudy & Paco’s. Terrific service. THE BEST crab bisque either of us ever had. Salads were good. The special was plantain crusted red snapper with a tomato cream sauce. Good but not great. Crème brûlée was excellent-not custardy-but creamy. We will return.

Will definitely add this to our “go to” restaurants. Seafood is fresh & locally sourced. We had the calamari as an appetizer and pleasently surprised with the basil pesto aioli - light, refreshing & full of flavor! For our meal we enjoyed the BLVD seafood sampler blackened with the Mac & cheese (recommended by our wonderful waitress) and green beans. Everything was cooked perfectly. We didn’t leave one crumb on the plate. Great food & your supporting locals in every way.

The best restaurant in Galveston and probably some of the best food we have had in a while, that’s coming from 2 people who just came back from Paris and ate their way through the city. This will be our staple go to restaurant from now on.

First off our food was amazing. Both my husband and I completely enjoyed our dinners and we took cheesecake to go with us. The service was good and our waitress was friendly. Also the portions of not only our food but those around us were really big so we left with extras. The only two negatives I would mention is that it’s overly crowded with two many tables placed in one room and it was so loud we could barely carry on a conversation. So it would be a hard decision if I ever went back again just because I prefer to talk during dinner and not just listen to a room full of too many people talking at once.

A little pricey but we expected it from a nice steakhouse and it was so worth it! We celebrated our anniversary and as soon as we walked in, they told us Happy Anniversary and had a sweet card on our table saying it again. Our waters were CONTINUALLY filled and the waiters were on top of making sure we enjoying everything! The steak and crab were AMAZING, the Au Gratin potatoes were so good and cheesy and the jalapeño cornbread was to die for! The cheesecake.. Don’t even get me started! It was the best dinner!

Galveston
About the restaurant
The toast of the Texas coast.
How can frozen fish be called fresh? The answer for anyone with snap is simple: it can’t. That’s why Gaido’s is the classic choice for fresh Gulf seafood. Patrons know Gaido’s is real, when others are clearly not. From red snapper and blue crab to white tablecloths crumbed with panache, there’s no denying Gaido’s is one-of-a-kind in a world of imitation. Now, after four generations of filleting, frying, grilling and baking, Gaido’s has grown into the picture perfect place of traditions– birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, reunions. As the largest fresh fish house on the coast, Gaido’s can serve up to 2,500 happy diners a day. Plus, with the Pelican Club, private dining, catering, a new food truck and parking galore…it’s easy to see why Gaido’s -– for over 100 years – is truly the coastal classic.
