LUNE is a one-of-a-kind dining experience on Cape Cod. Nestled in Dennis Port, LUNE hosts an open kitchen experience as a tasting menu (thursday, friday, saturday) and a la carte wine bar (wednesdays and sundays).
* Please let us know if there is anyone in your party with dietary restrictions or allergies. These will be accommodated with notice.
*An automatic 20% Gratuity is added to all checks so we can distribute the share fairly.
*We honor a 15 minute grace period, if you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please call the restaurant as soon as you know.

Lovely restaurant and very warm service. I know this is a small thing but I think that charging $7 for four slices of bread and a smear of garlic butter is a little high. Otherwise I felt all prices were intelligent.

The Ships Inn Restaurant offers one of Nantucket's finest dining experiences. Located in an historic whaling captain\'s mansion built in 1831, the dining room and lounge are below street level and have an updated colonial atmosphere. Tall windows along two walls let in the summer breezes and let escape the sounds of happy conversation. This restaurant is a very good choice for an evening out with friends, and there are cozy, intimate alcoves for more romantic encounters. American/French cuisine is featured, with everything freshly prepared on the premises. Chef Mark Gottwald's food is bold and flavorful, and presented with understated elegance. Dinner menu selections include lobster, calamari, crab cakes, salmon, prawns, chicken, duck, beef, and lamb. Only the freshest ingredients are used. Members of our restaurant staff have been part of the Ships Inn family for an average of seven years or more. Friendliness, attentiveness, and food knowledge are the cornerstones of our operation.

Best Italian we have had on the Cape! Pat was our server, very attentive to the dietary restrictions of a member of our party. Food was delicious, drinks were great, ambience was beautiful! Need a little more space in the parking lot - we had to park down the street on Rt 28 which is a little hairy walking down in the dark. Otherwise a perfect evening! We will be back :)

Had reservation, was seated on time. Food was excellent. limited but overall a great selection. Prices moderate to high. Views over Nantucket Sound at sunset were spectacular. Wendy our server was incredible, checked in with us throughout our meal. A credit to the restaurant.

Peter and Diane Hall & Chef Derek of Van Rensselaer's proudly continue to serve the freshest locally caught seafood, superbly prepared meats wonderful poultry, and a wide variety of salads, in addition to great homemade sauces, and desserts
Desserts are homemade and Chef Derek was written up for being a top Hawaiian Baking Chef in Hawaii for his Bread Pudding.
We have two small patios, open air with heaters and umbrellas as needed, An eight table screened in awning covered porch as our outside areas.
Our inside tables are well spaced, with black linen table clothes. Staff is noted for its professionalism and friendliness. We welcome you to Van Rensselaer's.

We are proud to say we are Level 1 Green certified! Check out our newly renovated bar for dinner or just a drink.
