Richard Merton ließ das Haus im neobarocken Stil 1925 als Privatvilla erbauen. 2002 errichtet der Union International Club in der Villa das Restaurant Villa Merton. Seit 2003 ist das Restaurant durchgehend mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnet. 2009 bekamen die Räumlichkeiten eine umsichtige Rundum-Erneuerung, des Weiteren wurden im Obergeschoß Räume für exklusive Tagungen im kleinen Kreis geöffnet. Food was very good and fresh. On the whole, it was a brilliant experience! Service was especially good - attentive but discreet. Ambiance was perfect, was wonderfully warm, calm and relaxing from our first steps in.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Europe, never mind Germany. Only the freshest of ingredients are used and always cooked to perfection every time we have eaten here since our first meal in 2007. I always eat here when me or my friends and family are in Frankfurt. Thank you Gabriella, Daniela, and Franco!

We had an incredible experience. If the food itself weren't a reason to go again, the service would be. Our waiter was friendly and had a great sense of humor. He was always right there if we needed something and just all around, making our dinner more enjoyable. We ordered the lobster and the swordfish tonight, and both were delicious. We can not wait to go again!

Great food & service - we enjoyed the beef tartare, cacio&pepe (&shrimp tartare) pasta, beef spare ribs and the tiramisu. The service was impecable - very welcoming, joyful and warm at the same time. We had a great time! We will recommend the restaurant to our friends and we will return when visting Frankfurt for sure
