Opening Angelo Elia Pizza, Wine Bar and Tapas - Oakland Park was a passion of Chef Angelo Elia for more than eight years. While Casa D'Angelo has been a place for him to showcase his depth of Italian technique, he wanted to create a restaurant that felt more like the simple Italy he visits year after year where ingredients are at the forefront. A place where you could come and sit and pick at food as you want with friends. But it didn't come that easy. Like all things that are simple, careful thought and research has gone into the menu and the guarded sources of our premium ingredients. In the end, Angelo Elia Pizza, Wine Bar and Tapas is all about friends and a good bottle of wine enjoyed in a contemporary, easy dining atmosphere.

What a fun place! Food, ambiance and service are all 5 stars. DJ played disco tunes (not too loudly) and the pork chop and fish entrees were outstanding. We will definitely come again!

The service was magnificent and highly personalized to each table. Salvatore was incredibly kind and took the time to speak with our table, communicate recommendations, and took care to ensure we enjoyed every moment of our dining experience. The fresh bread and olive oil at the beginning of the meal were delicious and high quality. We were happy to have it accompany our wine as we awaited the first item we ordered, which the wait was not long for. My table ordered their fresh focaccia special with arugula, tomatoes and prosciutto to begin. Everyone at the table enjoyed it so much. From there we ordered 2 sets of the gnocchi burratini, one for our guest and, another for my husband and I to share, along with the lamb special. Salvatore even had the kitchen split out shared pasta order in to two plates for us. When the food came out the lamb was perfectly cooked and to our surprise even included potatoes and vegetables! All the food came out delicious and in very generous portions. I would highly recommend coming here to eat, be it a special occasion or just because you want a high quality, delicious meal.

We were celebrating our Anniversary and wanted something great but also wanted it to be a bit unique. Looking at the menu ahead of time and having heard that this was a great place to dine we decided on “Pasta And”. We chose 3 antipasti: Gnocchi Romana ai Quattro Formaggi , Capesante con Pure' di Patata Dolce e Zucca and a delicious Pumpkin Flan that wasn’t on the menu. All were amazing and although I don’t eat seafood my husband said the scallops were the best he had ever had. We also shared a salad called Insalata Saporita, it was delicious as well. Our entrees were Ossobuco alla Milanese and a pork shank (not listed on menu) these were wonderful. Finally the server Suggested a chocolate “pudding” dessert and even though I mentioned to him that I don’t usually like puddings, he said then I absolutely had to try this. His recommendation was spot on and I don’t know how to describe the dessert. It was cut like a cake so I wouldn’t necessarily call it a pudding but either a soufflé or very light cheesecake consistency. It was truly delicious. We had very attentive service and I’m looking forward to going back again in the near future to try more interesting dishes.
