La Garrigue est un bistrot français, situé au 31 Jeffrey Street, à deux pas de la célèbre Royal Mile d'Édimbourg ainsi qu'à quelques minutes de la gare Waverley. Le restaurant sert des spécialités culinaires françaises du Languedoc. Il propose donc une cuisine française faite maison, agrémentée d'une touche de modernité. L'excellente connaissance de cette région par le propriétaire et chef Jean Michel Gauffre permet de présenter le meilleur de la cuisine française pastorale et de créer une ambiance qui évoque le sud de la France. Depuis son ouverture en 2001, La Garrigue a fait l'objet de nombreux éloges de la part des critiques culinaires. C'est le lieu idéal pour un dîner ou un souper intime ainsi que pour de petits événements de groupe. La carte y est changée presque quotidiennement. En dehors de ses délicieuses recettes pour le dîner et le souper, ce restaurant propose un menu du jour. Sa riche carte des vins réserve une place de choix au Languedoc, plus grande région viticole de France.

Sit back and relax as our team proudly present a celebration of seasonal ingredients and flavours in our recently renovated premises. From starters to desserts, every dish has been carefully crafted to showcase excellent local produce.

We’re a family-friendly restaurant with children’s menus available.

Since opening in 2020, we’ve become a favourite to locals and visitors alike - recently claiming a place in OpenTable's UK Top 100 Restaurants for 2023 and winning Best Restaurant in the 2023 Radio Forth Awards.

Our restaurant is open for breakfast seven days a week, and open Thursday to Sunday for lunch and dinner (last seating at 5pm on Sunday). Booking is essential.

Une très bonne adresse pour manger du poulet fris. Les quantités sont généreuses, et la nourriture est de bonne qualité ! Il y a beaucoup d’option gluten free et végétariennes, tout est bien pensé et le service est vraiment agréable. Nous y sommes allés un samedi soir, il y a avait une prestation musicale très sympa !

We are a small, independent family run restaurant since 2002 specialising in grass fed Aberdeen Angus beef from Scottish small highland farms, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail. We also serve fresh fish from local fish mongers west coast mussels, salmon, shrimps & Prawns.
Our emphasis is on high quality local ingredients and fresh produce from the best of local suppliers. Beef is selected, prepared and hung for us by Award wining "John Gilmour" of Macmerry master butchers since 1946. Fresh fish are delivered daily by Calum Sinclair and J.K Thompsons. West coast Mussels are delivered freshly daily by "Sea Mcgee". Artisan and farmhouse British cheeses are supplied by renowned Edinburgh cheesemonger, Iain Mellis and dairy produce from Fife Creamery. We take pride to cook everything fresh in our own kitchen daily.
We have outside seating arrangements for walk-Ins only.
